So I'm excited to finally present something I've been tinkering with for some time, in fact this was begun immediately after Still No Words with the intention of following reasonably close on its heels but I got stuck trying to figure out how to turn the idea into a full song in a satisfying way, so it ended up on the backburner for a while. Eventually I was able to figure out some kind of shape for the whole thing, which turned out to be kind of huge. I was even considering making it into some kind of EP release, but settled on just having it be one big song. Please do let me know what you think! I hope it takes you on an adventure as fun as the one I had trying to get it done.

It’s like a dream how fast the music changed
The story can’t be heard above the wind

But something’s there behind her eyelids
A sense of darkness in the air
And voices singing deep inside her head
Too late to help but not to share

The regent asks too many questions
The servants drink and talk of bills to pay
And in the courtyard there is happiness
For she has lived to dream another day
