That was quite a ride. Wasn't sure what to think at first with the choir/chant-ish intro combined with the spacey synths since it was pretty different from a lot of your other songs, but it sounded great and I loved where the song went. Also, I've always loved your lyrics. The part about the girl in the courtyard was fantastic. Anyways, I'll definitely be listening to this for a while. Top tier song Replacer.
Man, I love a lot of different bands and artists, but no one else makes me feel so at peace as you do. Another amazing track with a dream-like aesthetic. Please don't ever stop.
dreams are a subject matter near to my heart. Some parts of this song are actually based on music I remembered hearing in a dream, which is something I'm quite pleased about.
The 70s/80s prog rock vibes oh my gosh <3 So progressive and delightful. I'm so glad that that style of music is still being made to this day, albeit rare! I absolutely adore progressive tracks of 10/20 minutes, bands like Genesis, Renaissance, Yes, etc. Anyway, amazing work on this track, love it a lot!! Keep it up! :D
@replacer Can you tell me where my country lies Indeed! :3 I recently went to another gig of a Genesis tribute band called "The Watch", they're so good and they did a full gig centered around the Peter Gabriel era, was so awesome! They did the whole 20-minutes Supper's Ready too!
Seems only fitting that I bought a brand new pair of headphones yesterday and then this appears in my sub box? Couldn't think of a better way to break them in. Also holy hot damn this is amazing
That was completely and absolutely FAR OUT! And I haven't used that term in over 40 years. A truly new level of excelence Replacer. Truly candy for the ears.
Dang what a masterpiece. It kind of reminds me of Keep Calm and Canter On in that it's somewhat prog/everchanging yet very coherent with itself. Great job man, loving it
You've done it again! Distilled dreamy essence and infused it into prog. Excellent work on the vocals; the lyrics fit the music very well. I can't describe how happy hearing this makes me. Thanks, replacer <3
All I can say. Is I love it. I remember your first stuff in 2011. I grew up, got slightly out of being a brony and then thought. I wonder how all my favorite artists are. You were on my top I would say. Laid back and up beat music has always been my favorites. So to see you are still alive and kicken it down with your hands is so awesome to see. Keep up the good work my man!
What an incredible music experience <3 I absolutely loved the intro, and the rest of the song flows pretty well! I'm still kinda freaked out by the "give us your soul" thing XD but i overall loved it and can't wait to hear more stuff like that from you :3
Hadn't listened in a while before yesterday, and reawakened my appetite for one of my all-time favourite artists. Here you are, failing to surprise as always, with the most relaxing and calm melodies I need on days at work the very next day. Love every second, and hope it was worth all the effort - thanks for your continuing embodiment of everything blue!
I get a feeling that this was intended to be an erratic, yet an armonic tune, showing two sides of a coin in terms of how the story unveils If that was the case, I must tell you I'm impressed with the message!
Wow Funny that, I have a song that's been on the backburner for a while It's 6 minutes long so far
Glad to see finishing that kind of endeavor yields nice results
Now that I think about it, this song says exactly what I've been thinking as I got sucked into the grind of the well oiled machine's gears. Don't give up Skeleton, we're skeletons too
Why do I just find this now? It's beautiful! Aaand it takes the spot of longest song I have on my phone, thus beating When Our Bodies Wash Ashore by Aviators (9:33) x)
Song for an Earth Pony, Cerulean Blue, No Words are the ones i like best as well as the remixes you did. I couldn't tell you why though. It just feels as if those songs belonged to another genre altogether. That change seems to happen to most musicians though.
@Gnarrkhaz ah yes I know what you mean. Well it's interesting because I'd consider the aesthetics of those three songs fairly unique from each other also, though they share a kind of innocence that definitely hasn't been as prominent whenever I've organised myself into doing a song in recent times. Those old values are important to me though, so I'm sure if I keep swimming I'll eventually wash up on that shore again :)
Nostalgia is a hell of a thing, isn't it? Anyway, thanks for your work. Believe me when i tell you you're lucky to have the talent to back up your passion.
I use adobe after effects to do animations - there are definitely some free programs that do similar things but I don't know too much about them, probably best if you google around :)
@The Sunrosesthat's easy, some parts are counting in quarter notes, others in eighths, it's a good way to make it so you can still nod your head when there's an irregular time signature
very cool, also always nice to see someone buck the radio approved length of songs.
28 likesI always get excited to see a new replacer song in my sub box :D
