Freeing Chrysalis From Stone

Not to also mention that a changeling’s abilities revolves around... changing. Couldn’t some unreformed changelings disguise themselves as the reformed changelings?

Ok, this is just my opinion! We need Grogar the Necromancer to :
1- free Queen Chrysalis, Cozy Glow & Lord Tirek from stone
2- resurrect King Sombra
3- deform some of the good guys (maybe Discord lol) and especially some of the Changelings
4- unite all the villains & anti-heroes against the mane6 and their friends
5- Boss Battle Showdown!!!

Chrysalis is hands down one of the all time best villains in the FIM series, and i won't lie it would be nice to see how it would turn out if she somehow got freed from her stone prison, in fact part of me still wonders what Chrysalis would've looked liked as a reformed Changeling, but oh well.

I wonder if Cozy Glow will be a grown mare when the spell wears off or if she'll still be a filly because of the stone, since it's practically pressuring her whole body.

One thing I've been thinking about in regards to Equestrias timeline. Some things just don't add up. We know from Hearts Warming eve that Starswirl was around before Equestria was found. And was sent to limbo before Discord ruled in chaos. (With Starswirl and the pillars gone, it would seem to be Discords chance to take over Equestria) Since Celestia and Luna used to study with Starswirl as their teacher, and Starswirl commenting on "how tall they've gotten" after him and the pillars return from Limbo in season 7. This indicates that Tia and Luna weren't that tall back then. But they were when they stopped Discord. But ofc we could just say it took years for Discord to fully take over Equestria and some extra years for Tia and Luna to find the elements, which were planted by the pillars. Maybe u can do a vid explaining this timeline further? With the new informations now that the show's ended :)

Hey! Chrysalis can hypnotize, right? Maybe a lot of unreformed changelings channeling their magic together can do the same thing. It seems just to be a more advanced spell, by the looks of it. In a past theory, you pointed out that Chrysalis could want to hatch a new colony. Maybe the unreformed changelings are waiting for that (If they’re found) It’s likely that the new Colony (when they’re fully grown) can do things like hypnotize (I hope I spelled it right) Celestia, Luna, and/or Discord.

You know how what caused discord to be released was “the lack of harmony” between the cmc? That’s exactly what he stands for. The lack of harmony between ponies. So if that’s what freed him, maybe something that chrysalis stands strongly for could aid in releasing her. Like maybe hatred or someone breaking someone else’s heart or something? Maybe even the presence of loyal unreformed changelings could possibly help. What do you guys think?

Just a theory because I’ve had this thought in my head about what if twilight and her friends didn’t defeat the mean 3? I was thinking heavily on it because of what would’ve happened to them and Equestria or the crystal empire. I thought back to your other video on how Shining Armor should’ve been an Alicorn, and maybe then with his aid being the last line of defense, he would’ve proved his worthiness of protection displayed from his cutie mark or something like that, if you get what I meant.

HELLO does anyone realize something, when cozy glow harnesses her magic that she GAINED FROM THE BELL it looks exactly like when the royal sisters and cadence gave their magic to twilight. When they gave their magic to twilight it was all alicorn magic so that is clearly a symbol because when twilight harnessed all the magic of the royal sisters and cadence when she was fighting Terek it look exactly like when cozy glow harnesses her magic when she is an alicorn. Therefore there were other alicorns in the past.

Discord didn't really break free of his own. The arguing and fighting from the CMS served as the catalyst, however Discord was turned to stone by Celestia and Luna, at the very least 1000 moons ago.
This means that the magic used to turn them to stone in the first place, while cast by two alicorns, over time weakened.
With Discord adding his own chaotic magic to the mix, it MIGHT be possible for it to be stronger, however the spell could fade sooner.
The reasoning is that while Celestia and Luna's spell was on Discord alone. Celestia, Luna and Discord, casts theirs among three separate being, one of which was a being as old and powerful as Discord, if not older and more powerful.
Granted, while Tirek was imprisoned, his power was drained, however he may still hold onto a bit of his power.
Even then, there are possibly countless relics out in Equestria with more than enough power to break the trio free. It's a matter of time before one could be found.
There's also the possiblity that there are other changeling hives as well. Some may have gone through the metamorphosis that King Thorax's hive did, but there's quite possibly other hives that still resemble Queen Crystalis's. Although I'm not sure about how different hives would react to one other. They may be rivals, or friendly to each other and enemy to all others.

what I think is that there are changelings left (we won't be for sure cuz the show ended), but if there are some left, for sure they heard about what happened to crissy, and then they'd go to a search to find the statue and get her out using magic/love whatever to free her. they wouldn't get the other villains out cuz they don't feed off love,, so they'd use love power, getting it from transforming into other ponies and using that magic to free her for her to reign once again.

but of course, just speculation.

Sawtooth you just blew my mind and now I don't know why! But I feel the urge to try and free Chrysalis all of a sudden I think I have a bit of changeling in me but you have a point the changelings that are still out there could have been learning new magic and might actually free their queen from her stone prison! You my good sir are an extremely awesome and smart pony and for that you deserve a reward! I'll see if I can make one for you might not look totally perfect or Amazing but I'll do my best!

I LOVE this Theory and I LOVE Chrysalis, too.

Something to think about whenever it comes to different unreformed changelings would be possibly more hives because it states that they work like bees and so it would be logical that there are other hives out there and wouldn't it also be logical to try to help a fellow Queen whenever she's in trouble if the other Hive hears about it?

The real questions is do they have enough magic power to rival that of luna, celestia and discor and we all know how insanely powerful discor is

I've always assumed this to be the case.

And that there are also "old" changelings that simply became neutral (no longer loyal to Chrysalis, but not swarming to Thorax either). Whether they become "whole" on their own or not is a different story (a few might even prefer to look like their old forms even after).

This reminds me of how I was rewatching the season 6 finale a lot and I noticed that we only ever saw the changelings who were in the changeling hive at the time get reformed. If you think about it, there were still about 12 (if im counting right) changelings outside the hive during the finale - the ones who had been sent to pose as Celestia, Luna, Shining Armor, Cadance, Flurry Heart, the Mane 6, and Spike. We know they didn't return before Team Reformed Villains left for the hive to rescue the real ponies, because that would've blown their cover. It's possible that Chrysalis had perhaps summoned them back during the siege, but we never see any evidence for that, so all we can really assume is that they never returned. Obviously they must've found out what had happened at the hive; maybe they went to the hive and saw the reformed changelings, or maybe they have some sort of connection to the hive and/or Chrysalis like Voldemort and his Death Eaters and felt that something had changed, so they fled. Since they had fled separately from Chrysalis, it makes sense that they wouldn't have reunited before season 8, otherwise Chrysalis would've used THEM instead of having to make those clones via that spell. So according to this those rogue changelings are still out in Equestria and unknown to the greater world, which ideally places them to rescue Chrysalis. And as for them having the magical power for it, according to your theory here all they'd have to do is shapeshift into Celestia, Luna, and Discord and they'd be able to pull it off no problem. But yeah, this is definitely a very cool theory and I'd like to see them come back

Imagine in the Mlp Movie that this is the plot of the story! They still need to be completely removed from the plane of existence or reformed!

This is very possible. In many movies, tv shows, etc there are always those who don't change and stay in the past. They could be put away or be in hiding. There always are.
I would love to see a episode where they show their side of the story the "villains" side. I would also like to see more nightmare moon or (not cannon in show, only comics) nightmares. They are like nightmare moon but transform a pony into their darker side.

personaly I think reformed changelings can still use changeling magic even if they lack a horn, as the type of magic seems more tied to general species than minor physical features, pegasi and earthponies have thier own magic too, and sides you could just turn into a unicorn and use magic that way to a limited extent

Wow, this is all so facinating. This theory is really interesting, the idea that our beloved-I MEAN HATED queen could come back if some changling could gather enough magical power to undo the spell. Dont mind me taking notes over here, this is all for theoretical purposes, I swear! nervous laughter

Chrissy is my favourite villain by far, I hope she comes back for g5 even though I probably won’t watch it. Nothing can top g4. Her character was amazing in FiM, I don’t think they can top that. Her interactions with starlight were some of my favourite scenes in the later seasons and a canterlot wedding is one of my favourite episodes along with the pilot, cutie re-mark and many more!

I love the idea of this theory and sometimes I wish the creators would listen to there fan base and talented people like you and make it happen, or at least explain why it can't/won't.

I think this theory works perfectly as an explanation for the catalyst needed to free the Mean 3 from their stone prison and set off the events I mentioned earlier (where the Young 6 have their debut battle/s).

I think that maybe some "reformed" changelings just disguised and used magic to "blend in" with the rest of the changelings. They may still live in the hive or maybe they moved across Equestria to properly feed off love without being deemed "suspicious" by the other changelings

Honestly i'd be pretty excited if christilas came back. I'd love to see her reformed if she gives in! She is personally my favorite queen in equestria.

I always wondered how the changelings would reproduce without their queen. I mean, she was the one responsible for all the brood. In my nextgen universe, they bring back Chrysalis and reform her, and even though she isn't queen anymore (it would be unfair to kick out Thorax, even though I don't feel like he was super qualified to automatically become King), she's still responsible for all the brood.

I've noticed that there are less reformed changelings than evil. If you watch the episodes there is a big difference between how many evil changelings are on the hive or canterlot wedding than on the last episodes where reformed appear. (and I dont think 'animators are lazy' is an excuse)

I have had this idea that the changelings that are still loyal under go there own transformation. One looks more like a dragonfly and can out fly the wonderbolts. Another could become simular to a catastrophic quake and be the mussel of the group,but not dumb. And the others fallow suit filling a roll for the group.

Here one thing that concerns me : How can the unreformed changlings use their magic if they don’t have ponies to feed their love from wouldn’t the magic be weakened if they don’t have any love and if they are in hiding gaining love can’t be easy

In my mind I just imagine a new villain appear out of nowhere to free them. Or a nice pony free them by testing new Magic by accident.

personally i have a small head-canon that, in preparation for the attack on canterlot, chrysalis laid a clutch twice, or even three times the size of normal in time for them to grow up to assist in the attack. needless to say, she didn't expect to lose. after the attack she was left with a smaller hunting ground due to the newly paranoid equestria and a huge amount of new solders she simply couldn't care for. so, with the exception of a few particularly loyal and vicious solders, she kicked most of the new changelings out of the hive. leaving them to fend for themselves. dubbed 'the canterlot generation' these changelings have built up a stable, albeit hidden, population are equestria, with there own culture and society. the metamorphosized changelings don't really know what happened to them, and the two groups don't tend to get along when they do interact

I like to imagine that there are other changeling hives around equestria (or on the outskirts) and maybe the unreformed changelings would go to another hive to ask for assistance or inform them about what happened to their hive. Although there's no evidence that I know of, of other hives.

I hope the new Gen introduces these villains to the new characters, and since no magic was there for Tirek to steal, he’ll still be weak. Once the tribes reunite though, I think Cozy Glow, Tirek, and Queen Crystalis would take time to steal magic from the ponies. Would the tribes turn to Canterlogic to help defeat the villains or would Sunny, Hitch, Izzy, Zipp, and Pip find a different version of the Elements of Harmony to defeat them?

I love this theory makes a lot of sense. Plus even if Thorax did reform all the changlings in his colony that doesn't mean that a another colony doesn't exist that might want to free chrysalis. After all there are some species of bugs that can have multiple Queens and even if changlings aren't one of those species who's to say that some Colony might not have a queen or King or any suitable replacements, might decide to free Crystalis. After all even if her changelings did rebelled/ reformed she seemed to be pretty successful as a queen if you're judging based on the size of her colony.

With changelings able to ... change shape, it makes me wonder if you can really petrify a changeling. It would certainly be within her nature to fake things being safe after she was turned to stone, and one day, when things quieted down and she wasn't horribly under guard, she would change back to her real form and wander off.

I actually completely missed the thing about Mirage so I guess it is possible that a changeling could be that powerful and they could set Chrysalis free. I still think all three of them got out of that stone prison well before the events of "The Last Problem" and this could be one of many ways it could happen.

I don't know why but whenever I see an image of Chrysalis or heard her name my brain start's singing God save the Queen

Oh one more question THIS IS IMPORTANT!!! When cozy glow nearly got rid of all the magic in equestria would it have been possible if it could hav released grogar from his cosmic prison. I’m curious to know

CRAZY THEORY: What if they did, and the 3 villains somehow escaped, and this time managed to defeat everyone except they didnt know about how powerful the grown flurry heart was, and she defeated them with the crystal heart/in the crystal empire??? As we saw her window pane in the canterlot castle, so what if this was it? This leaves a lot of questions unanswered tho.

I think there might be two different types of hidden unreformed changelings. Changelings who still hide for they fear the queen and the death they'd face if she were to find them. And those who still support and wish for Chrysalis to be their ruler.

One question What would grogar (The real grogar) what would his reaction be if he were to come back to equestria and find out that crysalis, tirek, and cozy glow who are now turned to stone, that they betrayed the fake grogar/Discord. Unknowingly that it was discord. Would he free them and unit with them, or free them and give them a frightful punishment. I have been holding on this question since the end of the mlp series g4. (I really hope this gets answered or get a guess

I still believe there are unreformed changelings. I mean, there would always be those who are loyal to their old leader. Although Chrysalis was a villain, she did show that she cared enough for her hive. (I feel Chrysalis in season 6 battle was rather meh. It kinda changed her character to how she was in season 2 IMO and from what I remember.)

I think maybe especially with the known fact that grogar existed and was actually set free.. he could have aided more power to the changelings, side note- if the changelings 'evil' selves have this much power, I wonder what sort of other powers the reformed have, like the evil versions of the main 6 were weaker than the good ones..

Seeing the statue again while catching up on videos I skipped over back in the day reminded me of a thought I think I'd like to hear your thoughts on, Sawtooth.

It concerns the disappearance of magic that lead to the world we see in G5. Now, let's hypothesize the petrification wasn't reversed by that point. That leads two possibilities:
- The magic keeping the captives' life force bound to the statue fades, rendering it just ordinary stone
- The magic keeping the captives petrified fades.

I find the latter far more interesting, not for what it might mean for Chrysalis - she was always massively dependent on her magic, as was Tirek - no, for _Cozy Glow_.

Imagine that filly, thrust into a world freshly devoid of magic, _just as she had intended to accomplish to begin with_. Not only that, there would likely be turmoil as a result of these events - something we know she is more than adept at taking advantage of through sweettalk, manipulation - and deception.

Deception like... convincing some loyal recruited followers to help her publicly fake being the only pegasus who retained her ability to fly?
That's right, I believe there's a possibility that Cozy Glow is the origin of the Zephyr Heights royal family we see much later in A New Generation, posing as the only pegasus "pure and innocent" enough thanks to her youth and inherent goodness to be graced by fate with being allowed to retain her flight - and thus, obviously destined to rule, right?

The few dissenters to that could be easily dealt with later to ensure stability, after all - probably just provocateurs sent by those other pony tribes...

But what do you think of this possibility?

Do you Think, that the reformed(good) Changelings could reform back to "evil"?

It's very unlikely that a changeling was gone under the radar. Especially more than 1 since the Crystal Empire could was able to find at least 1 since the defeat of the queen.
I just find it impossible for a changeling to not be discovered since their main food source is love and they can't go on without it a long time and not be reported of sighting.

Your first theory about unchanged changelings is true but bringing back chrysalis is a difficult thing to do because they need the artifact to do it without it their mimicking magic is not strong enough and it was cased by the three most powerful creachers in eqestria so if they do manage to get their artifact they still won't be strong enough

When mentioning Chrysalis' magic not changing color while in disguise, I thought maybe she didn't care because of her villain ego. Now, I wonder if there was another queen and different changelings before Chrysalis came along.
I believe that changelings who are destined with great magic could free Chrysalis like how the Cutie Mark Crusaders triggered Discord's release. Then fate will cause them to find a more harmonious ending for Chrysalis, or uncover more of her past crimes.

I don't think that the unreformed changelings could even break the stone spell. Not only did the 2 sisters use Alicorn magic but discord also helped and that is pure Chaos Magic. I don't think anything except Grogar's bell can beat Chaos magic? It would be really hard to break that specific stone spell even with an ancient relic.

I’m guessing by the outro, a Changeling somewhere learned the stone spell.... which means Chrysalis can definitely be revived.

I thought the show ended in season 9? Still, your theories are really good and I wish there could be more seasons...

I think they can just try to get Chrysalis off the platform stone thing.

I think it's interesting to note that Discord was turned to stone by the elements but the three villains were turned by two alicorns and a draconeequs.
I don't know if that could mean anything at all, especially considering the point of other ways of turning people to stone, but I could imagine the three of them combined can possibly create a much more powerful, spell, one that will last longer than a thousand years, perhaps?
Though I don't know if they can even match the power of the elements, so it might actually be an even weaker spell.

I don’t think that would happen. I think that the renegade changelings ended with Pharynx, I’m pretty sure that’s what the writers wanted anyways. Plus, everyone knows about changelings now, so I think they would have found them long ago, even if they were hiding. I also think that regular changelings can only do simple things with their magic, like levitating or opening doors. Chrysalis is an exception because she had loads of magic to begin with.

I mean, with Thorax saying “That I know of” it is possible that old changelings still roam Equestria. I believe that they can reverse the effects that were put onto their queen, but it would take a lot of them in order to reverse said powerful spell. Again, with Thorax’s statement, there wouldn’t be too many of them left in order to reverse the spell. UNLESS Queen chrysalis sent changelings out to other parts of Equestria and possibly beyond to gather more love for their hive. In that case it is entirely possible to have more than a few changelings left. One thing I’m interested in though is if changelings can turn into other changelings. Like if a changeling turned into queen chrysalis that would cause enough disruption to Equestria in order to have the others free their queen while a few changelings distract the rulers. I mean in the episode “to where and back again part 2” Starlight even asked Thorax if he was another changeling pretending to be Thorax.

I mean for all we know, the villains could have been reformed in the huge gap between when Twilight had her coronation and the end of the last episode. It could be done, I mean they managed to mostly reform a literal god of chaos so a maniacal foal, a love sucking shape shifter and a magic eater should be a bit easier if they manage to avoid most mistakes made with Discord. Plus, Cozy is a foal. She can't have been much older than the CMC when she was turned to stone, so assuming she remains that age mentally if/when she is freed, with enough work she could be turned around for the better

They can also gather love and feed it to the queen. Giving her enough power to break free herself. She has defeated Celestia in a duel before so its nit that farfetch'd.

It wouldn't even have to be unreformed changelings, it could be a group of reformed changelings looking to reform their former queen.

Unrelated topic, but I've always been kinda curious about the changeling in dark blue armour. It was in the comics too, spends a lot of time making obvious suggestions and getting roasted by Chrysalis for it if my memory serves me right.

This is a very interesting theory and I much like you absolutely LOVE chrysalis and I want to see her return

What make raises a question for me is this; if the three are so dangerous that things would go horribly wrong if they got loose, what's stopping some random outsider from taking matters in hand and making dust of the statue, similar to the Storm King, (if that was who I saw being shattered partway through)?

Now we have other question: Can be Chrysalis a seed of chaos, which Discord planted in Equestria?

What if I told you, there are definitely unreformed changelings out there. I was just rewatching S8 E18 I think it was, and realized that there are 2 unicorns that are constantly trying to become the biggest thing in all of Equestria and somehow manage to be loved by every pony even though they were sold out to be lying thieves the last time. Yes. Film and Flam are unreformed changelings. After Film and Flam’s failure at Sweet Apple Acres, they tried to learn about friendship. But having heard of this competition and the results, 2 changelings saw the stars align. 2 unicorns were just put out of their element that happened to have magic that looks EXACTLY like changeling magic. The ponies’ pity was love enough for them. But F&F decided to take it further. They blackmailed everypony into giving them their love through threats and spells (like chrysalis), and kept on putting on ploys to get the most love or be in the most love filled environment. They definitely didn’t reform because at the end of S6 E26, we saw that Thorax’s magic was practically white, and their schemes still continued.

Just think about it

It seems to me that any rogue changelings might just form a new hive. I don't know how long the time span is between the Season 6 Finale and the Season 9 Premiere, but it caused Chrysalis to go a bit insane not having anyone to rule anymore in the one instance we saw between and by the time of Season 9, she basically has a pet branch. Are the other rogues even looking for her, or could they have given up searching to form their own hive and a new Queen come to rise? They're loyal to the cause of the unreformed Changelings, but not necessarily to Chrysalis, and part of that would be out of necessity for the species to survive.

I know this is a small thought but, what about the changlings that weren’t in the hive when Starlight reformed most of them. Do you think they went back and reformed, or went into hiding.

One question, did you change into a colorful changeling?

The thing is that growing must be another way of expressing magic while ponies become alicorns with it the other creatures just don’t happen to just improve their skills and creatures like tirek who live on magic grow tall with them he didn’t become a alicorn but he grew larger and more powerful than the ponies

This could totally be canon! I think in the last episode of mlp (the one that took place in the future of equestria), there were other glass panels depicted of cuter battles that happens off screen, and I think one of them referenced the return of cozy glow and company
(Plus, I think Saw Tooth got too close to the truth and had to be taken care of.....how can we be sure he isn’t replaced by a loyalist in the next episode???)

The first time discord was released still seemed to be from some kind of magic, disharmony between the cutie mark crusaders ,notice in the episode the glow came from near his heart, discord wasn't released from nothing

One possibility for unreformed Changelings that you overlooked is that there could be other hives either in remote parts of Equestria or beyond its borders--though I don't know that they would much care about Queen Chrysalis.

I think they will return. I always hoped Chrystalis would return, reform and roule next to Thorax. Also I always hoped Cozy would get reformed.

in the last episode there was a newspaper that showed that Tirek, Cozy and Chryssy are out of the stone and on their way to being reformed. Tirek was in a strength competition and Chryssy was in negotiations with Steve and Starlight for peace between the two. Can't remember what Cozy was doing though.

This is my theory
Before Chrysalis was turned into stone, she could lay new eggs, create a new hive, with a library filled with magic books. The unreformed/ newlylaid changeling could become more powerful than Twilight. They'd have enough power to set Chrysalis free without setting the others free. But you make a good point. They'd might have to get pass higher security, but they could transform into a royal guard, get to the statue and free Chrysalis from stone. But if they freed the others, they'd have to freeze the others into stone if the the other villains. But if Thorax could reform the newly laid changelings, they might just be evil in heart, not just in apperence. They could turn on Thorax, defeat them, manipulate the reformed changelings to become evil, and maybe rule Equestria as the dominant race? Just a theory, I don't know if it's gonna happen.

What if Thorax himself asked Twilight if they could free Chrysalis? Maybe he found a way to convince her to come to her senses, or in desperation of the hive thinning over the years due to the lack of a brood mother. I think it could be an interesting concept/theory to flesh out.

changelings is a lot more complicated then you think, if comic lore can be counted, changelings can only use magic because of where they were first made, and their origin makes me wonder if there can be other kinds of changelings and queens

I know this is L A T E but, why did cadence and shining armour actually name Baby flurry heart, flurry heart? The day they had her thingy was when cadences spell was wearing off. A lot of snow came in, and think of it, "flurry" flurry meaning snow. Baby flurry heart was somewhat connected to the crystal heart. That's how they got the "heart" part. Shining armour even said "to remember this moment." And that's how I think they got her name.

I'm more of the belief the reformed Changelings will release her after some time has passed, and show her how things have gone, that her sacrifices to get the hive to this point weren't in vain, and that they still adore her and need her.
She'd obviously run away, still being in denial and needing to process this. It may even come down to Starlight to once again try and convince her. Eventually she would come around.

This actually gives a good possibility to my theory about the tie in movie in 2021 (Watch my video for full theory if your interested), the theory says that the three villains get freed by some sort of magical mcguffin (grogars bewitching bell in more powerful) and the staff of secana (?) could be said magical mcguffin that helps free them.

I have been needing conformation on something. Remember Cadence and Shining Armor's wedding? Before Twilight found the real Cadence, we can see that Queen Chrysalis's magic is green. And in Twilight's memory Cadence's magic is an aquamarine color. I don't know if Lauren Faust has said that ponies can see the color of unicorn/alicorn magic, but if they can then HUGE plot hole. this has bothered me for a while.

I find it hard to believe we're the only changeling hive in existence. Just because we reformed doesn't mean all of us did.

Okay, sure to both of these theories. Just one more question: If they scattered, and I am just guessing that they all transformed to stay safe, how do they know each other. especially reformed or not? Did they happen to escape together, or are they not even aware of each other? I mean, they could know that their possibly could be other unreformed changelings out there, but do they know who they are exactly?

If there were unreformed changlings, why did chrysalis use clones in that episode? Surely if the staff intended for there to be unreformed changlings they would have used that instead of creating a whole new pawn for Chrysalis.

Keep in mind, I have not watched the final season of My Liftle Pony because it hasn't come to Netflix yet. So my theory is probably bad and won't make sense. What I was thinking was that when Chrysalis escaped, she was looking for a possibility of unreformed changelings that escaped. She could possibly have also... uhh... "made more" since she is able to do that. When "Grogar" brought Chrysalis, Cozy Glow, and Terek (however it's spelled) together, the changelings looked for signs of her, and then tou theory goes into play.

The only issue with this theory is that on MULTIPLE occasions did Chrysalis say, "Entire army was stolen" and she "Searched all across Equestria for any still unreformed" which pretty much means she's the only unreformed Changling. But I would love if they freed them one day and they all found the good in themselves, same with Sambra. Twilight says it herself when they reformed the storm king, "Everyone has good inside them"

One question underlying this is how many truly fanatical changelings there are. Undeniably the changelings are better off under Thorax's rule; instead of being forever hungry and having to fight for love they get all they could want peacefully and without danger. Just the promise of ending the hunger was sufficient to convince most of the changelings. So how many changelings are sufficiently devoted to Chrysalis to ignore that and to not be tempted over to the light side (which has cookies)?

One thing I've been thinking about in regards to Equestrias timeline. Some things just don't add up. We know from Hearts Warming eve that Starswirl was around before Equestria was found. And was sent to limbo before Discord ruled in chaos. (With Starswirl and the pillars gone, it would seem to be Discords chance to take over Equestria) Since Celestia and Luna used to study with Starswirl as their teacher, and Starswirl commenting on "how tall they've gotten" after him and the pillars return from Limbo in season 7. This indicates that Tia and Luna weren't that tall back then. But they were when they stopped Discord. But ofc we could just say it took years for Discord to fully take over Equestria and some extra years for Tia and Luna to find the elements, which were planted by the pillars. Maybe u can do a vid explaining this timeline further? With the new informations now that the show's ended :)

They can use grogar's bell to release the villans. Last we saw the bell discord used it to take back his powers and give the princesses their power, which means it still functions.

Changlings can turn into anypony or any creature, they don't need to hide. Just like thorax in that one episode when he tricked the entire crystal empire into thinking he was a pony. The changelings can be anywhere and we wouldn't even know it

The only issue with this is that thorax doesnt say "that I know of", he says "expect one of them" in regards to pharnyx. (Unless they change that with different languages?)

Well it depends there might not be enough changelings and what if the magic doesn't work. And there could be another possibility too. Just like when discord was first freed from stone it was fighting from friends/chaos. So maybe a similar thing could happen with the mean 3 but in a different way though but I'm not sure of what other way that could be though.

1. It's literally stated by Celestia that the reason Discord was able to free himself as because Celestia and Luna weren't tied to elements anymore, the main six were, so no, the stone spell on Discord did not wear off the way you think it did, bc it the main six got the elements in the beginning of season one while Discord escaped in the beginning of season two. Because Discord, Celestia and Luna turned the evil trio into stone without anything but their own magic, so I'd think the only way for it to wear off is for all three of them to die

2. Whos to say they didn't shatter Chrysalis, Tirek and Cozy Glow after they turned to stone?? you might say that it would go against Twilights beliefs but when the Storm King shattered she didn't seem to care, and i don't believe the evil trio statue even showed up in the episode after they were turned to stone except in the newspaper

3. Equestria now has a HUGE army, and if there was any unreformed changelings, there probably wouldn't be that many of them, so some army or Twilight herself could probably take them down pretty quickly. And i doubt they even exist at all since Chrysalis, Triek and Cozy Glows attack went on long enough for a chunk of the country to group together and fight, who says any other changelings wouldn't have heard about it and take Chrysalis's side??

3.5. And about Grogar's bell,, I'm not sure if that thing lost all of its power or what but Twilight would probably find a really good place to hide it, and im not sure how powerful Grogar is but from the story Discord told us while being Gorgar, it seems that without that bell he was basically powerless as in the story he was banished right after Gusty took the bell (that is assuming Discord new the story, i believe he did bc a lot of things added up and Discords been alive for awhile and also he's Discord he knows like almost everything) so if your theory about Grogar being trapped in the stars and him coming back soon bc of Cozy Glow, he'd be screwed bc he wouldn't have his bell (at least thats what ive gathered)

Just out of theory, but if their were unreformed changlings they might not even need the artifacts, Chrysalis said that draining cadence love made her more powerful than celestia, ok when the heck does celestia actually do anything, but when you see the fight between nightmare moon and her, they destroyed an entire castle! If chrysalis can gain that much power from draining love, I’m sure the others could as well.

Well what I think is that only the creature who cast the stone spell can reverse the spell, but twilight was able to use the princess magic to turn tempest and the princesses into normal, but note that the magic of the magic orb is different, and also Twilight used the staff to free tempest and the princesses, and the staff also contain the storm king magic, and the magic orb's magic might have been from the storm king so I think it's impossible for other creatures to free creatures who were turned to stone, and also from all the episodes we seen changelings has never used any magic except shape-shifting, if they were able to cast spells like ponies and alicorns they would have used those spells to defend themselves from the mole and etc, also the artifact that was able to summon tsunami might be different and the used of it is like the artifacts of the pillars, they can't cast spell but they have magic inside, so I think it's impossible for the villains to be released unless Celestia Luna and Discord freed them

There could well be a separate hive somewhere. It would answer why they hadn't just reformed already: The original hive was somewhere where that wasn't an option, perhaps due to a small non-changeling population. This is ignoring "Fiendship is Magic" of course since that just raises further questions.

You also need to think about,that Queen Christallis is the Mother of all Changelings. Its kinda like the Queen by bees. So even if all Changelings ffom Thorax Hive are reformed,Christallis can just make new bad one. She can just eat one someones Love again and with that make new Changelings

If there are unreformed changeling, why hadn't they find Chrysalis earlier? She was all alone since season 6 ending. I believe this means that there are no unreformed changelings left at all. And also... they might not really like Chrysalis. We know that Thorax changed some changelings later, but they were in the hive like Ferinx. If they were loyal to Chrysalis they wouldn't stay at the hive at all. So if there are some changelings left, they might not want to rescue the Queen

i think changelings are MORE POWERFUL THAN ALICORNS. think about it, they can turn into alicorns and use magic and fly in their alicorn form. if they turned into discord, which is the most powerful they can probaly use his magic too. and sance pharinx turned into a stone they can probaly turn into the elements of harmony or the magic artefacts.

really wished that in the ep abt the changelings pharynx did not transform physically to match his charadev. it gives this weird idea that the original changelings are bad even though we saw with thorax and his shiny wings that they're perfectly fine either way.

I propose a theory, what if after Discord first got turned to stone by the two princesses his statue was put under a lot of gaurd supervision. but after who knows how many moons the legend of siscord faded into obscurity as more and more ponies who lived through is reign faded too. leaving only Celestia who thought that after this long surely hes in there for good. what does all this point to? well how long would it take to forget about all three of them to eventually be nothing but myth, a stained glass window and the memories the immortal princesses. How long before some ponies or even changelings trigger something nearby to undo everything much like how the cmc did Discord?

I'm not sure if anyone else pointed it out already. But in the season 6 finale, Chrysalis afirms there were drones replacing each and everyone of the people who were kidnapped by her. This includes Celestia, Luna, Cadence, Shining Armor, Flurry Heart plus the seven that we saw replacing the mane six and Spike on Ponyville. Maybe some of them got away...? That's my strongest hypothesis on unreformed changelings still being out there.

The green Orbs were alchemy chemicals made form misfortune malachite and the stone spell used in the movie made them into complete stone not just imprison them.

I don't know why people thought that Flurryheart would be some kind of ultra-villain JUST because she is a baby alicorn and has lots of power. A comment even said: "I bet Flurry will be the villain of Season 7." That's debunked. And even back in 2016, I thought Flurry was just a really cute baby.

Wooden the magical artefacts be kept in Inverurie Close Chambers and after the attempt of cosy glow I think that would be very hard to get in so my idea is that a strange things might use there used torax to get it because he's the representatives of it because he is the refund reader leader

in theory, it is possible that Chyssie and the others could be freed from their stony prison, either by active effort or just by the fact the spell seems to be a time lock that will eventually fade, as it did before with Discord. that being said, the probability of their still being unreformed Changlings in the world would be extremely low. after all, who better to find Changlings, than other Changlings? Thorax, and by extension his brother and co-ruler Pharanx, would know what to look for, and any tactics Changling hold outs might use to hide.

OK, this may sound crazy, but I agree that there are more than likely some unreformed Changelings out there, and yes, they could eventually free Chrysalis, but would they? If they are like any other hive insects, I think not. To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if there were already other Changeling Queens out there outside of Equestria. And to be honest, I don't think they would try entering Equestria after seeing what happened to Chrysalis and her swarm. Though I would also not be surprised if there were some queens who didn't consider taking on Thorax as an example of a better way to survive.

I don't think that freeing Chryssy from stone would be a good idea, and those unreformed changelings, if they exist, think so too. Let me explain.

Chryssy has a history of failing. She's very arrogant, short sighted, and she's almost always letting emotion cloud her judgement, which ultimately always lead to her downfall.

I'm sure those rogue changelings are sick of failing so much. Why would they let themselves be led by the person that always failed them? It doesn't make any sense. However, what DOES make sense is for them to find their true leader. What this means is that they have to find someone with the intelligence, competence, and remarkable set of skills to lead them into battle and succeed.

I imagine this hypothetical leader as a Thrawn-esque type of a person. Vicious, cunning, yet intelligent and calm in the heat of battle.

Odd question but what do you look like as a reformed changeling?

I suspect that there are other Changling Hives that exist in the pony world but they are likely ruled by different kings and queens with their own means of providing for their hives, we only seen a small fraction of what the world has to offer, no one in Equestia knew of the Stormking until he just showed up one day to take over so other Changlings being out there is highly possible, just as possible that there are other centars like Trek out there. Much as I like the Mane cast in the FIM, I would like a spin off that actually goes beyond Equestia and see what the world beyond is like, are there more beings like Grogar out there, maybe have the series focus on a student or two maybe even three of Twlight's (different from the season 9 finally student) who is given a major challange/test to find and collect objects from races that exist far beyond the borders of Equestia within a certain time frame, say the pony verison of Around the World in 80 days and the items have to be genuine and given to them willingly by the owners.

It can be pretty much a roadtrip adventure but with lessons of life and making friends, I can kind of envision the end of the adventure, Twilight asks the students for the items from their adventures and one says "We don't have them!" Before Twilight can get angry or whatever, another says "We did bring back something!" Then the third student opens the doors to reveal their friends each of whom are of different races and they have the items and then corrects the first one by saying "We don't have the items, but they do!" Twilight smiles and says her students have passed her test, maybe the students were not friends to start with but being given the test has forged a bond between the ponies and they in turn forged bonds with these creatures who helped them overcome many challanges along the way.

Discord played a role in turning them to stone, and as the lord of chaos doesn't he have like crazy strong magic if he can open portals to other dimensions and can live for who knows how long

1) I think you stating something that might become possible in the comic books. There might be some "unreformed" Changelings somewhere in Equestria maybe waiting for the right time to free Chrysalis.
2) I'm pretty sure Tirek and Cozy Glow will be freed from stone with Chrysalis regardless.
3) I'm pretty sure the Storm King is dead (as in he had his life taken away) because shortly after he was turned to stone he shattered into about a few dozen piece (some too small to be put back together). So unless there's a reconstruction spells that can put a broken object back together into its original shape, then even if his al-chemical stone bomb wears off on him, he still will not be able to do anything except just lie down where he stands motionlessly and rot away.

Well being turned to Stone is being turned to Stone. But then Discord and his magic has never been invoked in this way before. There is a possibility that Discord was able to implement a protection that stops any normal method of dispelling the stone without Discord's magic.

I just saw the episode where Cozy Glow takes over the School of Friendship.
She wants to be the head mare and be everyone is "friend" to be the most powerful one.

So, how this "friendship is magic" thing working?
I always thinked two friends needs share their feeling/friendship with each other. The true friendship what they pass back and ford then gets stronger to the point its become magical energy.

In the S9 finale the spell should be much more permanent as it was set not by the elements, but by the royal sisters and Discord. And because all three are immortal it seems unlikely that this stone spell could wear off over time. You'd either need a counter spell (the most likely option) or you'd need to end the ones who casted that spell in the first place.


In conclusion, the stone spell seems much more permanent than you let on.

i really think there is still unreformed changelings that are still loyal to Chrysalis or an ally of her, there is still a lot of places in the world of MLP than just Equestria, so there might be any chances to free Chrysalis, and somehow without freeing Tirek and Cozy Glow.
i have a changeling oc, his name is Liver, he wasn't born with wings, and lived so much with ponies that his habit has changed, which makes difficult to know that he is a changeling, when being somepony or somepony that he made himself for the appearence, just like Thorax, he is not a evil changeling, he is still unreformed but has total control of himself (sorry by my bad english)

well i have my personnal opinion on the spell.... that spell may not be able to be reversed by anyone exepct by the ones that used it.... why? i'll give a few facts and some points. As we all know the pillars made the tree of harmony and each element represents a pillar according to sunambula, but we know that they where no longer connected when the pillars where send to limbo, one characteristic about the elements of harmony is that they need a bond for them to react, as we see in s1 ep1 twilight was able to use them when she was able to make a bond/ connection, and as princess celestia said she "lost her bond of the elements" and since luna was banished by those same elements she also lost connection. This means that the stone spell on discord has been nearly destoyed because of the loss of that bond, this explaind why discord was free in the first place. the second time he got prisioned was the same as the first, but this time they freed discord instead of discord freeing himself by the bond of the elements being broken. In the movie the petrification was different, unlike discord th petrificarion was weaker since it didn't had the power of the elements of a princess convergence to break it. In the crystalis, tirek and cozy glow petrification is the same as discord BUT ulike discord's the spell doesn't need a bond for it to work, and as we know discord could have put a chaotic magic seal so that no pony unless the princesses and discord himself could break the petrification spell, after the "fake grogar" scenario i belive he would take messures so that those 3 villains wouldn't be brought back unless it's necessary and in a safe enviroment

I’m only figuring this out now but. Since the pillars are also 6 and the main 6 elements are Magic generosity loyalty kindness laughter and honesty it can’t just be 6 random ponies being chosen so some how won’t they be related to the pillars?

I mean it's possible that there are unreformed changelings out there but I guess we'll never know now also it's obvious that any spell not regarding the elements of harmony will wear off just like Discords spell did when the royal sisters turned him to stone also because the royal sisters were no longer connected to the elements anymore the stone spell wore off and Discord was released. I think the same thing will happen again because when Celestia, Luna and Discord turned Tirek, Cozy Glow and Chrysalis to stone they didn't use the elements so it's possible that they can break out.
Also if the unreformed changelings are around then no doubt they will be willing to seek out their queen and try and take over equestria again I think that if the show continued on the Vaillain will probably escape the stone prison and be ready to take on the next generation of the mane 6 aka Luster Dawn and her 5 group of friends I doubt it will happen in Twilight and her friends time

I think it will be harder to unleash them since its both sisters and discord and the power isn't connected to the elements like discords first stoning

It's plausible enough if the writers wanted it to happen(to be honest at that point almost anything can happen) but other than that the possibility is very slim due to the fact that a petrification done by a cockatrice can't be simply overpowered by the likes of Starlight(well there could have been a specific spell to accomplish it but we don't really have those resources and it doesn't make sense that she wouldn't know how to perform it anyway),and there is no way of knowing if the artifact of the changelings can free Tirek/Cozy/Chrysalis, or if it even has those kind of powers. Also I don't really think a weapon of some kind can be compared to a spell that was done by the sisters plus Discord anyway.I'm not saying it's impossible I'm just saying it's improbable.

The show has used her a TON as this whole “revenge arc” and I think if this continues it could get real boring. Don’t get me wrong seeing chrysalis return and having a changeling vs changeling war sounds awesome, but I don’t see this as a likely scenario. Maybe have cozy glow gather a group of fillies bent on world domination, that could be cool, or have tirek call on his own species like we saw in season 4 with his brother. They could use that as a new villain, friendship problem, or a hero. Or an addition to the students six, idk all in all I just don’t really want/feel the need for chrysalis to return when she’s already made so many appearances in the show already
