That LP. titled ‘Lady Madonna’ (Cat No SMA 3014), is featured here, on this painstakingly remastered CD along with the original artwork. Shortly after the release of the low-key album, the lineup abandoned their hopes of hitting a big road. Unfortunately too early. At a time when chauvinism was widespread in the music industry and where it was widely reported that girls could not play rock and roll, it was not surprising that their patience was desperately thin.
Mother Superior may not have been lucky in the draw, but maybe it was because they were such a unique band, not easily hidden by pigeons, which led to them being ultimately overlooked rather than becoming a sensation.
