I liked the whole theme of this episode, especially this song. The Crystal Ponies forgot the things they liked, and using the history book (as a memory device) the gang was able to make them remember that they liked these things and got their spirits renewed. I liked it , that it kinda reflects what happens when we forget the things we like, and once we remember we shine bright. Loved this episode and the song :D

Man the music on this show is so catchy, you could listen to it over and over again and not get bored. Its pleasing to the ear I guess. : )

Multiple reasons: 1. Your the element of Laughter and pie is ofter refereed to slapstick comedy. 2. Pie is a baked good and you own a natural talent for baking (seriously I don't know a human or pony who can bake a cake so young, with so little time and still make it look amazing while having the time to set up a party) 3.there are a few parties with pies/ are based off the color pink. :)

That's actually a pretty deep song. I don't know the context of the episode quite yet, but in the real world, so many people and cultures are losing of themselves in negative ways, relative to their own way of life and circumstances. Both good and bad of course, but so much can be rekindled for any people if they look to their histories, where they come from, why they are the way they are today and how they have changed. It's basically social mindfulness of what was gained...but also lost.

I think that season 3 should be here by the 17th of November at latest. I think it was the 20th of September when Hasbro said they would give us the four week notice within 30 days. So that would mean the latest that the four week would start would be October 20th which is a Saturday. And exactly four weeks after that is the 17th of November. So season 3 should be here in 5 weeks exactly at the latest.

Rainbow Dash *kind of* got her own song, she had a duet with Fluttershy in "May the Best Pet Win". I agree, though, Ashleigh Ball is sorely underused in the singing department in this show. An AJ or RD song would be great. I'm still holding out for Flutters to get her own song, though, as she is my favorite pony.

Pinkie Pie is always caring for those who are around her and tried with all her hearth to make everypony to smile, she minds not how hard it to be, she always wants everyone to feel the happiness they all deserve, But I still my hearth belongs with AppleJack and no other pony.

yeah that's what worries me, since the hub can burn thru 13 eps in 3 months and i'm guessing it would take at LEAST that long to produce an episode from the beginning (writing, storyboarding, etc). i mean if there was gonna be more than 13 why not say so? why the big secret? plus the fact that 13 eps brings the grand total to 65 eps which is the magic number for children's shows to be sold into syndication doesn't give me much hope that there will be more this year. :(

I have certain hopes for Season 3... particularly, more pleasant development of Rainbow Dash. As my favourite character, it pains me a bit to see her getting a bit harsh, in episodes like "May the best pet win" and the one with Mare Do Well... Yeah. This is easily my least favorite song Daniel has composed. It's not really catchy, it's not memorable, a lot of the lines sort of feel forced together and the melody is bland. Of course, they can't all be masterpieces. He eventually had to produce SOMETHING I didn't like.

Here's my comparisons: Equestria: Pic'n'mix of Western Europe and Americas Griffin Kingdom: Germany Changeling Kingdom: Russia When I think of the Crystal ponies, I keep imagining their old culture to be something like old France, from the Kings to Napoleon. I imagine their king even as a short Napoleon caricature, and everyone having to keep shutting Pinkie up before she keeps bringing it up.

A few comments, with all due respect: These two songs were not leaked, Hasbro/Hub showed them at the SDCC and released them online. I would also caution not to overanalyze a single episode (let alone a whole season) beforehand from two song clips. For example in S1 when Winter Wrap Up did leak, many people thought from the lyrics that Twily will lose her magic. Finally The Failure Song is about Twilight not knowing if she succeeded or failed. It's not about bad news or knowledge she failed.

Well I suppose, it depends on who 'they' are in 'we can make them see', I took that to mean other ponies in their culture and 'we can save them with their history' meant 'saving' them by preserving their extinct culture. I've heard people speak that way about real extinct cultures so I assumed that's what they meant, but I can see how you might be right. Maybe the Crystals have merely forgotten their culture and the 6 are trying to remind them of where they came from.

I think that she brought up the point that Cadence's magic will not last forever because Cadence spreads love. Maybe the Crystal ponies have come to some kind of conflict with themselves and there could be a lack of love. Just a guess though. :P

Does anyone else notice that the colors look slightly different? Like, for example, in previous seasons, the green on Spike's scales was darker, but now it's a really bright green. The same goes for Rainbow Dash.

it would very difficult to show a scene from my little pony, but easy to show a song. if you watch the comic con MLP preview song, at the end spike says in a normal, non-singing voice saying "wasn't prepared for what exactly?" and on other versions of this video we just viewed , twilight sparkle says "come on spike, we got a crystal fair to put together" so its going to be the same amount of singing as the last seasons :D
