Regrets and Redemption. Definitely my top two, for your songs! And both Luna themed it appears! That's a plus! Redemption's still my fave, but this one is very reminiscent of it. It's magnificent.
As a creator, I think it's absolutely important that you keep producing music. Pursue your passions, and what truly makes you excited! As I've said to many musicians, I don't listen to music because it's pony; I listen because it's *GOOD*. I'll mix pony with non-pony because I like the music. Like, I'd shuffle Two Steps From Hell and Lindsey Stirling with my pony stuff. ALL of it makes me happy. So, yay! Keep on doing the stuff you love. :)
This song is wonderful, make no mistake. I really like how your style changes with time, what instruments you come to use more etc.
As for pony music in general: please, do make more when you do feel like it, but don't stress yourself overmuch over it. It's supposed to be fun first and foremost. But even if you don't make music, don't leave us, remain with us bronies. We'll happily have you in our company, music or no.
So, to the music, now that I listened to it:
Great. It's touching and emotional, as I hoped for it.
You really should go on with pony music on a regular basis.
You have a unique emotional style, that I don't know from another brony musician yet.
Only thing I have to criticize is the title of the song.

Piano and violin...that pairing can bring tears to anyone with a soul. All of the world's most beautiful music, in one way or another, must involve the sound of strings.

How can that be that you lost your love?
That's not possible. You can only think you lost your love, but never really loose it.
For example, when I started with S3 on May 26th it was the first time I watched MLP: FiM with the english dub, except one episode, and at the beginning, I couldn't enjoy the episodes the same way like the german ones, cause I was not used to the english dub.
I also feared a little that I lost my love, but then realized the true reason.
I love your music man when I listen to this I think about Luna regretting her past about becoming nightmare moon. I love the picture it goes well with the song. anyways keep up the good work hope you will keep making music :) and bro hoof to you man

I experienced at myself, that I tend to get distanced to MLP: FiM when I don't watch new ep's for a longer time.
That gives me always the feeling that I not love it anymore.
But that just comes from that I can't bear the wait.

By that logic, any instrumental song is completely theme-less. If pony stuff inspired him, then it's definitely related. Just having a voice sample pop up here and there doesn't magically add meaning.

When I do music, I (or at least try) to paint an image with the music. I take an image or story of what I want the song to replicate (where in this case would be Luna regreting her past, the things she's done and decisions she's made), and attempt to paint that image out in music. I really am not just pulling random crap, but am actually inspired by the show.

Yes, I can obviously see how the songs match the titles/images you put up, but they can also match a hundred other titles/images just as well, from works of fiction of nearly every genre. "A implies B" does not mean "B implies A" is my point.
If you took away the image and just put up some random crap off a clipart site, suddenly it's not pony music. It's...completely instrumental. Calling this stuff pony music anyway is kind of silly: It's music. When Rainbow Dash is singing about turtles or something, then it's pony music.
I love this... I like the whole dark ambient feel to it... this right here is amazing. Other than Destiny, probably the best you've ever done
