Were you wondering what actually happened at the Storm Area 51/ Alienstock festival? I decided to go, and not just go but full send this. I told all of the news reporters my name was Gary Winthorpe (a Danny Duncan reference) and wasn't going to let anything stop in the way of us finding the truth about the aliens.
I also broke my neck just 2 days before the raid. The doctors recommend that I rest laying down for the next month, but to me, finding out the truth about the aliens was more important than recovery.
I almost got thrown off the Property of Rachel multiple times. ( Rachel is where the meetup before the storm was.) The first strike unfortunately wasn't on video but happened when I threw a plunger at a wall pretending the wall was an alien to demonstrate my attack method in case the aliens attacked us. The second strike was when my friend moved an alien statue a few feet from where it was supposed to be. I also got yelled at for gathering all 50 members that showed up with my speech. I think they thought we were getting too serious about the storm and wanted to break it up so nothing bad happened.
All in all, even though we didn't find the aliens, I count it as a success. I managed to be the most eyed person by security, I crashed a bunch of news broadcasts, but most importantly, we had a ton of fun and made some crazy friends.
