September 11, 2001:
8:26 am - Airmen assassinated, Flight 93 hijacked.
8:46 am - A plane (Flight 11) hits North Tower.
9:03 am - Another plane (Flight 175) hits South Tower.
9:59 am - South Tower collapses.
10:29 am - North Tower collapses and other buildings are also destroyed.

10:29 am - Fire and police personnel pay homage to a flag-draped beam, the final piece of debris to be removed from Ground Zero, during the closing ceremony marking the end of the cleanup effort at the World Trade Center.
