I wanted to write a fighting theme for Weiss Schnee from "RWBY" because she's my favorite character of the show. Also, I already wrote a theme for Yang, and now I eventually have to do the entire main four girls at least.
The style of this song was inspired by the Japanese band, "Malice Mizer". I mixed jazzy chord voicings with a typical baroque era chord progression to achieve a classy and jazzy sound for Weiss' character. If anyone's interested, look up Malice Mizer's songs "Au Revoir" and "Sakai no chi to bara" to see if you can spot the influences.
