Prior to releasing music publicly, I used to simply write/record for my own enjoyment. Or if it were therapeutic (See song I wrote for my Dad). I wrote this one in particular the Christmas before 2012 in anticipation of the Doctor Who Convention in Los Angeles simply known as 'Gallifrey One'. I joked that if the opportunity somehow presented itself, I'd release it, but sadly I was just too timid. Hip-Hop & Doctor Who are not peas in the proverbial pod.

I did watch the 50th Anniversary Special Episode of Doctor Who today, and it was absolutely wonderful. Seeing Tennant with Smith (along with the Warrior Doctor John Hurt) really sparked my memories of this song.

There's a bit of space at the end to add another 8 bar verse, and my recording setup and mastering has changed a bit, so if you think I should re-record this and add some new stuff, let me know in the comments!

Here's to a great run from Matt Smith, and exciting anticipation to Peter Capaldi. Lastly, if I didn't have a favorite Doctor before... John Hurt really proved in one episode what kind of magnificent Time Lord he could be.
