Van Aaken, the man who wrote most of the album "Tiefenrausch", released in 1982 on Harvest.Whoever he is, his album features great guests such as Rufus Zuphall and Kraan drummer Udo Dahmen and bassist Dieter Petereit, who previously played with The New Triumvirate.Other counterbutors were Armin Biermann and Peter Schneider on moog synth and Peter Brocher on the Moog synth and Peter Brocher on the Synth and Peter Brocher on the Synth and Peter Brocher at the Mochero. guitars." Tiefenrausch" was recorded in two different sessions at Tonstudio Langendreer and at EMI Studio II.Very much a product of its time, "Tiefenrausch" is an album full of rhythmic electronics and synthetic rhythms, which sometimes gets a piece of the cosmic touch of early Kraut-Electronic bands, but most of the time it goes through the new synthesizer music of the 80s. An obscure mix of space keyboards, New Wave atmospheres, electronic music and Synth Pop with questionable results, featuring spacious soundscapes, some VANGELIS symphonic flashes, lots of accessible electronic melodies and, above all, JEAN-MICHEL JARRE's penchant for hypnotic and atmospheric synthetic music. Despite the presence of a bunch of collaborators, this is about synthesizers and drums, and later it sounds a bit too robotic, with only a few electric shadows in the pink FLOYD vein and bass actually buried under the display of synthesizers. This moves away from the German school of electronics and becomes a trend in the 80s, as about half of the works could be listed in the New Wave/Synth pop album, others are more in the Kraut/Electronic Music with trippy images and a lot of unusual keyboard distortions. It's not one of the best albums in the genre. Too many period sounds, but also some references to classic German EM stylings. For dedicated style lovers. LADISLAV&Z
