Fuzz Acid & Flowers:
It originates from Baltimore, Maryland, where they formed in 1968. Both albums are full of heavy guitar-oriented rock gems and are recommended. The first features songs like Love Me, Death Comes Slowly and Keep On Livin, full of driving guitar and powerful vocals. Comfort Of You has a nice jazzy piano playing, but perhaps the best song is the finale, Revenge, featuring superb guitar playing under the influence of Neil Young. The second album is more of the same, but somewhat more aggressive vocally, especially on the title track, and with more guitar exhibitionism on the Hungary Man. Sleep is a pleasant instrumental, and Whisky And Gin pays its debts to the blues. The Gate provides a stunning finale much in the style of John Cipollin's Copperhead, but the first album seems marginally better than the two. ~ (Vernon Joynson/Clark Faville)
