He plays moog, organ, guitar, bass and slide guitar. He also composed all the songs here. He brought in electronic legend and compatriot Richard Pinhas from HELDON, who also plays guitar and moog, but also sequencers and synthesizers. Richard was responsible for arranging all the electronic parts, which of course is most of this record. Add drummer Francois Auger also from HELDON and we have an amazing trio.
This was released in 1978 the same year that HELDON released "Interface" a similar album to this one, but which I enjoy more because of its more powerful and dynamic sound. It's the same with HELDON's 1979 sequel called "Stand By," two albums I prefer to "Adonia" even though the cover for "Adonia" is one of the most beautiful images I've seen.

"Approche Sur A" opens with about 3 1/2 minutes of faint space sounds with twittering over the top. This is delicious because the picked guitar joins in after 2 minutes. 3 1/2 minutes ago, the song kicks into gear as we get this louder electronic rhythm that dramatically impacts. The taste changes a little before 5 1/2 minutes. This is melodic and medium-tempo and it's hard not to hit your head on this. It lifts up 7 1/2 minutes ago and becomes a more serious sound as the drums join in. The guitar arrives after 10 minutes tearing it apart over electronics and drums. So good! This continues almost to the end.

"Orgasmachine" opens with electronic rhythms as space synthesizers come over the top. Slide guitar after a minute. Man, this is good! Sequencers two and a half minutes ago as the guitar deviates. The short guitar returns for about 3 minutes. "29 H 08 MN" is my favorite song here mainly because of the guitar. Solo moog to start as the electronic rhythm arrives a minute in and soon electronics Twitter over the top. The guitar arrives 4 1/2 minutes ago, then drums and sounds amazing, like HELDON's two albums from that same time frame.

"L'aube Jumelle" opens to space synthesizers blowing over an electronic soundscape. It's dark and melancholy. The relaxed organ joins in as the same mood continues. I think it's just after 5 1/2 minutes as it changes with the guitar as the space sounds continue. Soon the bass and guitar join forces in this relaxed and mild melody. It gets louder after 7 minutes. Beautiful things, pretty touching.

"Retour Sur Adonia" ends the album because we get an electronic rhythm with space sounds above the top. I'm not a big fan of that melody because it reminds me of something I don't like, but it's short even though it repeats later. All right song to finish.

Not as adventurous or powerful as HELDON's two albums from the same period, but man, this is an easy 4-star album for me. I'm a guitar sucker in electronic music, and the addition of drums is the icing on the cake. Just missing the mellotron. LADISLAV&Z
