I know this is very old now. I know you've moved on. I know it's unlisted. But even so... thank you for keeping it available for those of us who know how to reach it. This song meant, and still means, so very much to me. I still think it's beautiful.

Oh my sweet Celestia. The melody here is just wonderful, and when Feather's vocals (who I almost called Celestia here as well) came on, my jaw dropped. This performance right here is nothing short of wonderful. I think it's the best of hers yet. TheDashDub's sound fits it amazingly well and works in perfect synergy with the vocals, and together, this song gave me the feeling of listening to a theme out of an epic movie. LotR-class. I take my hat off to you, makers. I love this song a great lot.

Dash, I'm thinking of working in the mhsic industry too. I think you should include rap in songs such as this, I know you are going for a gentleish approach I just believe you can touch a larger audience with a verse or two of rap or even a back up with a few bars of rap, it doesn't have to include illicit words just something thatd go well with this.

This is a great song, but I do have a suggestion. The instrumental version works well because of its slow pace and quiet tones. The words just don't match the pace at many points, however. For instance, the lines 'I'll be there by your side/Remember that you're not alone' are both so long that the first line eats the second. I can't hear the first syllable of the second line because the first line goes too long. I would suggest slowing down all the lyrics. It would make a great song better.

I still think that the haunting tone of the song would be better served by a lyric progression that flows along with the chords. The loss of the syllable in the line I mentioned seems to also cause a brief breakdown of the vocal harmony in that section, which is impeccable throughout otherwise.

Absolutely beautiful song :) love it.... But on the constructive criticism side there are 2 things that stand out for me. The line "Ill be there by your side" didn't seem to fit in quite right, and the start of some of the double tracked vocals is a little bit out. But keep going. I've subscribed. Love it. Brohoof :)

The point is not to write a better song, it's to make an already completely amazing song even better. I don't claim to be a better musician, and I certainly don't have the recording equipment to put such a good song together even if I did. I'm just a writer, and as such I have learned that the best way to get better is to heed constructive criticism, so that's what I'm trying to provide. I love this song, and I see potential for it to be even more amazing.

That was beautiful... And it makes me think a bit... Ok, so these ponies are old enough to be independent and independent enough to be alone. But I don't think I've ever seen Dash's parents. We've seen a bit of Twilight's family with her parents making an appearance and her brother having a big role. We've seen Pinkie's family from one back flash and her (boring) sister visiting. We've seen the entire Apple family, including Apple Jack's sister Apple Bloom, so no questions there. We've seen Rarity's parents shortly and her sister Sweetie Bell. But I don't think I've seen Fluttershy's family, nor have I seen Scootaloo's family, nor Rainbow Dash's. Too cool to have a family, yet due to that void they wouldn't mind adopting each other as sisters?

Just my thoughts here... Maybe those families will be revealed in the coming seasons...

Awe this is so sad after reading what happened to Scootaloo in the Rainbow factory. The Rainbow factory is an awesome fanfic I highly recomend reading it, but it's dark and has a huge conflict between Rainbow dash and Scootaloo. If you've read it you'd know why this song is kindof sad.
