I like the part from 01:19 to 01:44 the most. Even though the melody repeats later on in the track, the Beat gets kind of watered down because they are missing the snare(?) that is present in the first part.

I think you mean koto, Kyoto is a Japanese city lol. And I am not using a koto anywhere lol. The lead instrument is a Chinese Pipa, I am also using some chinese percussion and an Erhu. The flute is just some random ethnic flute soundfont. In fact, they're ALL soundfonts lol. I cannot use a real Kontakt library, FL would crash.
And yes, Yoshida bros Ftw! The ending lick there is modled after their song "Rising".

@MicroGamer15 Are you kidding? I completely whore that song when my bros can't hear it through my headphones. But yes, I am looking at both melodies here on my sequencer and they are NOT the same. Disregarding key, (which in Butterfly is G# minor) the first 4 bars are really similar in rhythm and scale degrees but the rest is completely different. His is more repetitive and ends on the 5th of the scale being the biggest difference.
@BlastPhoenix I doubt it would be as effective if I did it lol. Plus it needs RC88's rocking guitar to fit in. I truly feel they dislike me after the first time I tried to get in.

@psychgoth Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. There's nothing wrong with that, you took a song that you liked the sound of and changed it up. You created a new variation of it that works for what you are trying to do. But you still at the heart of it took what someone else did and used it for your idea. Which means it would be appropriate to at least give mention of them and their song.
Also, fighting themes should have drive and action, yes, but they do not require a fast tempo.

They speak in some kind of European accent in the show, but I don't think any of the ponies really have canon races, since, you know, they're ponies (I guess their race would be Equestrian). But if they were humans, there's no saying they couldn't be mixed race, like a combination of German and/or Swedish AND Japanese. Any humanized pony's race is really left up to each viewer's imagination.
@psychgoth smile.dk uses that melody throughout their entire song. Did you even listen to it? I understand that you did not intend to copy them at all, and it was a complete accident, but I'm just pointing out that smile.dk does indeed use that melody quite a bit.
Sorry to revive a three-week old comment, but actually it would be Aloe and me. It always works the way it would if there was no additional person, and you wouldn't say that it fits "I" perfectly.
