This is awesome to be able to hear each individual channel. Would you be able to make a tutorial on how you have made a video like this, and how you create 3ds rips?
Could you by chance provide a download of this sequence? I would love to do a cover of this song and it would be an absolute miracle to work with the files directly. I would gladly provide any credit if you wish. If not, no hard feelings! ^^
Hey that's a really great deconstruction ! I was just wondering how you got the 3ds emulation file that you can extract in Caesar to get the soundfont of the 3ds music ?
I know this video is over a year old, but are you still interested in doing more of these deconstructions? Or at least showing a method of how to separate the rips
seeing music displayed like this is so informative and inspiring!
14 likesdamn this is amazing. this song brings tears to my eyes every time i hear it and this was really cool to see

The way I rip 3ds sequences is unfortunately not easy to do. I used sdk tools along many other programs.
14 likesI'm hoping someone will make a tool to make this easier
Sorry for the late reply btw!
This actually was the first video I found you on, also finally decided to get a Wii U and I’d say… good purchase. I find the Wii U heavily underrated.
13 likesCould you make a tutorial of how this was done? I would love to have all these instruments to mess around with!
9 likesYou my friend, are a genius, thank you for making this! 💚

The sequence files I have are not playable without sdk tools.
7 likesThere's a program that converts 3ds sequences to midi and soundfont, although not accurate sounding in most cases:

@3DSX Rips I think that'll work just fine. Tysm!!!! :D
7 likes@3DSX Rips Wait, you have 3DS sdk tooling?

Yep, most 3ds apps are sequenced too.
8 likes@3DSX Rips that's crazy, I've been under the impression they were streamed since the audio quality is so smooth
10 likesCan someone explain this in simple person terms?
0 likesThink of it as midi music. It's similar to that.
0 likesHow did you extract each instrument into a separate track?
0 likesDo you have the song version? I'd love to listen to the HD remaster from your hardwork! Love it 💖💖

5 likesthe sound of realizing your router is a little too updated, deconstructed
0 likesamazing! how did you do this? i mean did you just remade this or did you rip it and extracted every channel?
0 likesReplies (3)
I ripped it and extracted the channels. I rendered the tracks seperately and used corrscope for visualization.
0 likes@3DSX Rips which tools have you used to separate and extract the channels? i would like to try doing this
0 likesUsed Nintendo's sdk tools. Although you need a lot of extra steps to get it working.. 😅
0 likescan you rip the soundfonts from the apps that use sequenced music?

You can use caesar to extract the soundfonts:

0 likesHow did you find the right sample for Ch. 7-8? It's in the SoundFont but sounds different.
4 likesReplies (4)
It's because the adsr is in the sequence itself, which the midi conversion doesn't take into account.
0 likesAs for the soundfont, it just uses the max values of adsr which might be why it doesn't sound the same.
@3DSX Rips what is adsr I might ask?
0 likesadsr stands for Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release
0 likesYou can read about it here:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Envelope_(music)
@3DSX Rips do I have to change it on the sample?
0 likesits the same good ol' times
