Yeah and good luck fetching my data when there's 10Gbps worth of users connected and transferring data through a VPN endpoint. It's not feasible at all. Not to mention someone would need your fingerprint before you connect to the VPN lol. That's not gonna happen either.
Rent a vps server in Switzerland or France, create your own vpn, use tails with the VPN and install an anti fingerprinting browser extension on tor with privacy badger enabled.
@Sahil P I have a VPS server I host and it works marvelously , no speed issues and I know that my data isn't getting tracked since you know, it's my server
@Kaiser what I am saying is that your VPN sever isn't going to be functionally any different from some other commercial VPN. I would argue that a personal VPN is not safer than a commercial VPN since if an attacker wants YOUR information only, he will have to sift through TBs of data produced by other users on the network. So you are essentially hidden among the crowd but not so much when using a personal VPN. I also had my own VPN server but functionally it's the same as any commerical VPN at best. At worst it lacks features that modern day VPN provides like first party DNS, ad and tracker blocking, black listing and white listing, auto hopping, dual proxy servers etc. And good VPN services nowadays provide 200mbps+ per connection easily.
@Sahil P for ddos attacks ovv not but for privacy, unless somebody is hunting me down I would use my own ovh server. You sure do like to show how smart you are donthu Mr smart guy. F
@Kaiser Which protocol would you recommend? May I ask which payment method is being offered by the hoster, what for equipment you selected, if you build a distro from scratch beforehand, or if you used one more barebone as for exanple the in urgent need of an update windows 10 home premium version you have running at home(wordplay sry)? I would appreciat it if you could share your thoughts on this :)
PS
"Rent a server in Switzerland or France.."
I am not sure, but has France not similar cs laws than the UK or Germany? Did you had to sign anything or someone who signed as co-signer? How long is the lease? Sorry, I read a couple of buzzfeed crap while pausing fortnite, after getting fragged lmao. So xou have to excuse if my momentary knowledge is based on the infos I gathered, because I wanted to have better ping with a vps lol

0 likesRenting your own server just for a VPN is not going to do crap. You are better off using some commerical VPN and using tor browser.
