This person was a LEGEND during my childhood, they were one of the only YouTubers my parents allowed me to watch, seeing this video is so nostalgic

It also would make sense because in the season 4 finale, princess celestia refers princess twilight as the "princess of friendship" rather than the "princess of magic".

I miss being a kid and spending my day watching everything to do with mlp then play with my mlp toys 😢 😭

So, I feel like either Starlight or Sunset Shimmer should’ve been the element of trust bc uno trust is something u need in friendship, and both of them show that you can trust them even after their bad deeds

Im new here, and I know that this was uploaded a while ago, but Sunset Shimmer may be the 7th element. If you seen Rainbow Rocks you would know what I mean.
She wasn't effected by the spell the Sirens casted in the movie. Same with Twilight, Applejack, Rainbow, Flutteryshy, Rairty, and Pinkie. Of course that would include spike .3.
Plus at the end of the movie Sunset started writing to Twilight through a magic book. Maybe Sunset will become Twilight's student and get an element?

No matter how many times I watch the pilot, when Twilight gets ready to say, "The Element of Magic" I think she's gonna say. "The Element of Friendship". I also thought this when I was fist introduced to the series and saw the pilot for the first time.

I wonder why the creative staff didn't call Twilight's Element the Element of Friendship. In the very first episodes, the sixth Element was referred to as a "mystery", but Twilight called it "magic" instead of "friendship", which would have made more sense.

That definetly makes sense. I also agree with Breezy Blue. Sunset Shimmer in rainbow rocks, helps bring the main six back together after there fight under the stage. She must represent something.

I've always had this opinion. The other ones might be about specific aspects of friendship like loyalty and kindness, but Twilight being the leader is the one who brings it all together.

My own theory is that the seventh element of harmony could be spike and that element would be sacrifice. I mean think about it. He sacrificed that fire ruby for rarity. And he sacrificed his promise to listen to twilights orders to stay put and do nothing in the crystal empire. Unlike rarity she being the element of generosity she doesn't really experience sacrifice at all. And even if mlp fim made the seventh element of harmony sacrifice it would be the exact opposite.

I think Twilight represents the element of magic because she nows practically every

I think that the 7th element could be the element of dependability because in friendship you need to depend on your friends to tell them stuff and be able to depend on them to do stuff

I see it like this: The opposite of Friendship is Loneliness, and the opposite Magic (at least to me) is illusion (like most of what Discord used to trick the mane 6).

I agree that magic represents friendship, but more so that it is a true representation of all the other elements being in unison, she is the one learning friendship from them after all

In the movie Equestria Girls:Rainbow Rocks that came in 2014, Sunset Shimmer became a "half-pony" too, so she might have become the seventh element then.
To relate, Sunset Shimmer's element might be CONFIDENCE, cause she had confidence to get back at the Sirens, she also gave the Mane 6 confidence. That will be my theory.

what about courage 
in friendship you need the courage to stand up for your friends i know it sounds a lot like loyalty but in my perspective  loyalty means staying by your friends side no matter what while courage means the guts to risk and do something even though you know you have no chance and also sometimes your friends can make you feel brave.what do you guys think

I think it should be the element of Trust. Over the seasons shes learned to trust them more, with amfew parts where they are broken apart, like in the episode Bats! where fluttershy is seperated from the rest of the group and they didnt trust she knew the right thing.

Season 4 revealed that she's the princess of friendship, so you're probably right that it's the element of friendship. Also her element had to be magic so she could take all the alicorn magic in equestria. Her cutiemark is magic, so it makes sense that it is also her element.

When I saw the pilot, at the same moment when Twilight was named her firwnds elements, I was completely sure Twilight was going to say "friendship" for herself, so when she said "magic", I was like " Oh... okay? That makes sense... I guess."

I'm not a fan of this show and I'm not following it but once I decided to make a fanart of it. It depicts Twilight at the psychologist saying: "...and then I thought: since friendship is magic this means that magic is friendship. And because I've already studied magic why do I need my friends?".

That's what I've been saying since I first saw the pilot. That, and Pinkie Pie's Element should be Joy or Cheerfulness -- "Laughter" seems out of place when compared to Loyalty, Kindness, Generosity, and Honesty.

Also. It's been a month since you've uploaded anything! And season 7 finale finally introduced us to Star Swirl. And in the Season 8 premiere. Twilight opened the School of Friendship. And in episode 11 Spike got his wings. And 2 episodes later the Mean 6 turned against Queen chrysalis at the end of the episode.

Technically, there are at least 8, hued: red (Loyalty), orange (Honesty), yellow (???), lime green (???), cyan (Laughter), pink (Kindness), purple (Generosity), and magenta (Magic). And I've used canon evidence and logic to prove there's actually nine, with ten bearers. I really need to record these things and put them on YT...

In my pony stories twilight turns evil (in the first story) and the other ponies have to banish her, but without twilight's element they can't. This is where my mane 6 comes in. They create new elements that are a lot like the Elements of Harmony, but insted they are the Elements of Friendship. The element that replaces magic is the element of Friendship.

Technically, because you said that friendship is magic, you just disproved the whole theory because you said yourself that they're one in the same. Therefore, there is no 7th Element of Harmony because the 6th Element and the supposed 7th Element are both the same Element. Also, there's no evidence to prove that there's an Element that we haven't seen. If there is, it didn't come from the Tree of Harmony because there weren't enough slots for a 7th Element and this makes it very unlikely that one exists unless they somehow manage to create one which is unlikely, especially because the Elements are no longer being used in favour of another power. Therefore, there is no 7th Element and I doubt that they will introduce one this late in the show.

In my personal opinion I believe the 7th element could be "acceptance". I also believe it will represented by Derpy Hooves. Just think about it for a second... what if all those little shots of Derpy was not so much a gift to those with a sharp eye but were there to get the audience used to the idea of Derpy. She is practically in every episode either in the front of the frame of in the background. Who represents Acceptance better than Derpy? Tell me what you think.

It does make sense since “Twilight created a new magic” which is friendship, so instead of Princess of Magic it’s Princess of Friendship since that’s the new magic she created

Due to the fact that Hasbro has already ripped off a majority of the Digimon crests and rehashed them as Elements of Harmony (Kindness, Sincerity=Honesty, Friendship, Loyalty=Reliability, Love for Cadence which I'm guessing will become an element of harmony someday) All they need are Knowledge, Courage, Hope, and Light. Hmm I wonder what three young fillies could ever represent those elements... Knowledge of potions and alchemy, Hope that even flightlessness is not talentless, and Courage to train harder and develop your potential, even from the bottom up of magiclessness. Theory 1:
Mabye there is no 7th element but it is combined with Twilights element
Twilights element is Magic and if you look at the title My Little Pony:Friendship IS Magic you'll see that it say friendship is magic also knowing that magic is Twilights element so probally there is only 6 elements but Twilights element is friendship even though it was called magic.
Also in Twilights Kindom part 2 when Tirek shows her that he captured all her friends the rainbow appeared in Twilights eyes.The Problem had to do with Magic and Friendship so the 6th element is actually 2 in 1 Plus when she gets the neckalace from Discord it was a sign of Friendship.

Theory 2: 
The 7th Element is the Element of Derp and theres only one pony that can have it DERPY! (That will be so funny if Twilight said it aslo more Derpy Time)

Theory 3:
The 7th Element is the Element of Trust which Spike could have! (That will make Spike more useful)

I suggest you go with Theory 1 Or Theory 3 Not Theory 2 But that will be nice

I wanna add something, if you watched the MLP episode rarity takes manhattan then you might know what I'm talking about. When she realizes her friends aren't there when she's showing her dresses, then it does that thing where her item is rainbow and her eyes are rainbow and she realizes her special item. But then at the end her rainbow thread is rainbow as she walks away? Does she have two items or was it just a mistake? Reply if you have anything else to say or if you have my answer because I'm confused.

How about the seventh element being Acceptance. i mean learning to accept people for who they are is very important part of friendship . and isn't that what Bronies want ....Acceptance ... to love and tolerate is to accept  . Then which pony best represents this element . Well it's a pony that everypony should know . she's been their since episode 1 . Many people Accept her. others didn't quite as much at first. But The very Derpy Ditzy doo would fit the element of acceptance very well .

There has to be a 7th element, in Rainbow Rocks (SPOILERS) the mane 6 could not use the magic of friendship, but when Sunset Shimmer helped them when fighting the sirens she transformed and a new color was added to the rainbow, red, so that means that the elements cant be used without the 7th element present, so my guess is, Episode 1 of season 5 a new villain will appear, and at the end of the episode or episode 2 the mane 6 will try to defeat it by using the elements, but fail, Twilight will then realize that not all the elements are present, she will then have to go to the human world to get Sunset Shimmer, Sunset Shimmer will agree and come back to Equestria, but she will not be welcomed with open arms, like in Rainbow Rocks, she will have to gain the trust of the mane 5 except for Twilight's, and that may be the whole season of Sunset Shimmer showing everyone that she is good now, and in the end the mane 7 will defeat the new villain and Sunset Shimmer will either return to Canterlot High or stay, and i think her element will be The Element Of Redemption, because she was saved from her errors in the first Equestria Girls movie. And the movies have been said they are canon.

PART 1 STORY OF SEASON 5: so sunset shimmer comes to the pony world again because she found a element of harmony in human world and wears it in pony world then she goes to the main 6 and tells them that she found an element. PART 2 STORY OF SEASON 5: then they test to see if that is a 7th element on discord and discord turns not to stone into brick (HARDEST BRICK TO BREAK THROUGH EVER) and they let sunset shimmers stay to befriend them and then returns to portal to be in her human world. I hope hasbro makes my story :D

I'm actually not convinced that the other 5 were all friends before they met Twilight. In the fist season, AJ and Rarity seem to hate each other and Dash avoided Pinkie and called her annoying. I get the impression that they were not one group of friends until Twi brought them together, and through their mutual friendship with Twilight they learned to like each other. Although Dash and Pinkie came together through their mutual love of pranking, AJ and Rarity's friendship seems to only exist because Twi directly intervened and cultivated it at her slumber party. That kind of fits your idea of her element of friendship.

How could the elements be in a book? Well maybe sompony snuck inside and put the elements in there. It could be sunset! Oh no I think its discord. But if discord went inside...then how is discord suposed to have time? I know twilight was in her library then but when she got to the castle discord was there but if he used his chaos powers to make it appear. Or twilight could have put the elements there for safe keeping. And if discord was not there it must be twilight.

Honestly, I think Twighlight gets too much credit. I mean, she has a crown instead of a necklace, for Celestia's sake! Also, she's a bit full of herself. Meaning she is a nerd. All the other ponies have great talents too but they never got close to the stuff Twighlight got. Why didn't they all become alicorns in one of their accomplishments? Funny thing.  The diametric opposite of magic, by many traditional interpretations, is 95 percent of religions.

I will explain that logic.

Magic is effectively the ability to harness power, found either within or without oneself, to manipulate the environment, people or situation the user wishes in a given way.  In effect it is the art of manipulating forces either equal to or greater than one's own force to achieve a desired result.

Faith-based Religion (i.e. 95 percent of them, give or take), are fundamentally opposed to this concept.  They involve worshipping a higher power and recognizing one's place versus such powers and their ability to exercise power over YOU.

A perfect example is Christianity.  Most Christians believe that God is a being of limitless power who to a greater or lesser extent created all things, placed all beings here for some greater purpose, and has a plan for their lives in the grand scheme of their life force (i.e. the "soul").  Attempting to manipulate the world around you through any means beyond those provided to you via your mortal shell (such as physical labors or gifts of the mind such as technology or science) can be construed by many as witchcraft in the sense that this is "turning away from God's light/plan" in exchange for unnatural power.

There are of course religions that embrace the concept of magic, hence my 95 percent delineation, but I think most of you will find that by and large religion finds itself inherently opposed to magic at almost every turn.  In principle if not in practice.

I'm making no judgements here, I'm just offering an answer to "what is the opposite of magic?"
