Heh, Fallout equestria was the most emotional draining story I have ever read. I am almost happy it's over, because, at least for me, everything little pip went through I went through. Pip's pain was my pain, and that was completely unprecedented to me, I have read thousands of fan fics and none gave me a 1/10 of the same reaction. This song gives me the same feeling of dread, a sick feeling to my stomach, and a small glimmer of hope as the story did and still does.

@psychgoth I know about the Fighting is Magic stuff he's doing, which is awesome I'll admit, but I just have this deep rooted love for epic movie/game scores like what Hans Zimmer, Harry-Gregson Williams and John Williams make.
So it's only natural that you end up holding a slightly bigger place in my heart that he does. Not a Clever Pony and Makkon are pretty damned iconic to me too, so your renown may have a short ways to go before catching up with them... totally possible though.

Before I read this story, I looked at OCs with a mixture of contempt and disdain. Characters that seemed to have pretentious backstories or obviously based on the writer's desire to be in the same world as the characters they adore.
This story made me so much more tolerant of Original Characters and a little less sensitive toward gore/clop stories. Still not my cup of tea, but I'm much more use to it.

In my opinion it takes 2 things to be a TRUE brony (i'm not talking about the mega bronies that have every piece of murchandise out there) 1: You need to have watched and like the show, 2: you NEED to have read Fallout Equestria. Great job on the song man... I would say stuff like other people about well orchestration or nice chords or whatever... but as what I just said probably tells... Actually the world championship speed reading champ could read 4,700 words per min with 67% comprehension. doing the math, that would be 846k words per 3 hours. So its not really impossible. However the average is about 200-230wpm, so the typicall would be about 41400 for 3 hours which sounds about right for me anyway.

You would need a full string ensemble, a full brass section, 2 percussionists (for the toms, bass drums and then for the chimes), at least an 80 person choir, no woodwinds (they are unpopular in today's film music), and then you would need the electronic stems and a sequencer to play them back lol. Quite the challenge if I don't say so myself :p You should look to my other "epics" for playability. c:
I dunno what started all this argument, but i can tell you about myself. It took me around... uh... 6? hours to read the whole thing. Across multiple days, with longest period being around 3 hours. I was not speedreading, but reading at my normal speed. Im just a fast reader, so im pretty sure its quite possible for people to read it even faster.
Dude, it is physically impossible to read 700,000 words in 3 hours. Even if you flipped through all that text, there's no way you could comprehend what you read. You might very well be a speed reader, but that's always measured along with comprehension.
There aren't that many fanfictions with more than 700,000 words. Almost all of them are so complex that skimming through chapters is worthless. You cannot call yourself an avid reader if you scan the big works, think you understand, and not have dived into the book.

However the average is about 200-230wpm, so the typicall would be about 41400 for 3 hours which sounds about right for me anyway.

You would need a full string ensemble, a full brass section, 2 percussionists (for the toms, bass drums and then for the chimes), at least an 80 person choir, no woodwinds (they are unpopular in today's film music), and then you would need the electronic stems and a sequencer to play them back lol. Quite the challenge if I don't say so myself :p You should look to my other "epics" for playability. c:

Across multiple days, with longest period being around 3 hours. I was not speedreading, but reading at my normal speed. Im just a fast reader, so im pretty sure its quite possible for people to read it even faster.

0 likesDude, it is physically impossible to read 700,000 words in 3 hours. Even if you flipped through all that text, there's no way you could comprehend what you read. You might very well be a speed reader, but that's always measured along with comprehension.
0 likesThere aren't that many fanfictions with more than 700,000 words. Almost all of them are so complex that skimming through chapters is worthless. You cannot call yourself an avid reader if you scan the big works, think you understand, and not have dived into the book.
