It might seem techy and hard, but it significantly improves security, reduces non-tech-savvy peoples' risk of installing malware/adware and it simplifies the whole process. I use to be pro at removing FBIVirus :) Older computers always had autorun enabled by default so I would use a thumbdrive that automatically pulled all the task IDs, look at them on another computer, then reinsert them with a script that autokills and echos>> junk data over the virus's exe and futzed the ownership so that it wouldn't reopen.
-- FBIVirus was the one that put up a giant FBI logo, hid the taskbar, forbade shorcuts from launching, disabled rightclicking, and disabled CTRL-R runs. But they overlooked autoexec'ing so I used that to fight it :D

The virus that I absolutely hated back in the day was the one that redirected goog and yahoo searches because even if I manually rebuilt the socks-stacks: THEY'D STILL WORK. Those viruses were painful to remove and were so different from the last version every time they reappeared!

This is kind of showing how NOT to install programs on Windows. On a real pc you'd want to uncheck every optional shit in the installer.

I remember when I was pro avast… until it got annoying. avast free opened every time that I turned on my pc to tell me to upgrade, scan and tell me that it was insecure. I liked its chromium based browser but it was the same as any other except from some privacy features. the only thing is that it’s a NIGHTMARE to uninstall 🥲. It took me 2 hours just to get rid of the main software and still had to get rid of the extra features like PAID vpn (which I never used), browser, and sm privacy stuff.

I used the regular tactic of going into the play store and tryna find them in there, but then I started apking any free gta or Minecraft game on any fishy website since I was an idiot. At one point I actually installed GTA SA and Minecraft from some apk website but it crashed the games and slowed my device down by a lot 😂
