Am I the only one who thought of Kingdom Hearts 2's intro when Sora and the gang are running up the stairs while Riku and Micky are running down it upside down?
Twilight could have possibly put a spell to protect her hooves from any damage, or... her body could already be able to sustain the high temperature since we did see her entire body turn into fire that one time and come out of it without being damaged. Like Mortarius said, ~MAGIC~, so fuck it. Which still makes my idea of pony drifting still valid. :P
We actually don't know how or why gravity works, just what it does. Thats why we shoot particles at each other, to see whats inside and why and how they do "the gravity". If we knew these things, maybe we could exploit it (or probably not).
So maybe Twily wasn't using magic to begin with, just very advanced science.

though the most impossible magic since you cant alter a single person to gravitate up unless you held them up with the magic but she used a gravity reversing spell :l so everyone should have been in space by the time she got up there
the spell she cast, did not nessecery reverse gravity 180 degrees, it could be 160 degrees maybe, so she would be slideing towards the middle if she were standing still
hmm not excatly, she did during "lesson zero" teleport to a location were she had no Line of sight, (after consulting her with the others at the picnic) all she need to do is imagene the place it would seem...BUT! maybe she needs to have some what of an idea of what the place looks like before hoof

I'm surprised Twilight didn't fling off the edge, I mean, did you see that negative camber!? You would struggle to stay on and not slide off the edge...
Though if you consider than magic can, especially in the case of mlp unicorn magic, affect only certain areas, you can consider that her gravity spell affected only her. Notice how her horn is still glowing during the slide. While it may be called a gravity reversing spell for simplicity sake, it's more of a "Reversing how gravity affects X object" spell. X in this case being Twilight. Think Accelerator from To Aru Majutsu no Index.
Watched S3 and 5th stage openers on the same day.. This is the icing on the cake
