Far more ambient than his work with Camel, Bardens' career since the 1980s has tended towards a new-age genre, blended with a light poppy prog in the vein of Alan Parsons/Keats. In "Seen One Earth," he describes the utopian vision of a space explorer looking at this blue ball in barely half an hour of sampling his newfound musical interests. Aside from "Seascape" and "Home Thoughts," which might be lighter on some of the early Camel albums, both of which are well-crafted tunes, most of this album is an atmospheric new era. "Man Alive" effectively adapts the catchy rhythm and sparkling synthesizers, and the vocal melody "In Dreams" could easily pass entirely on Alan Parsons' project, meaning it is immediately sympathetic even if its staying power is somewhat tempered. It's worth noting that the artwork and production are excellent on my LP version on Cinema, which intended to become the progressive rock label of choice during the lean late '80s. A decent album within the limits of its style and it is worth picking up if its orbit coincides with yours.............. Ladislav&ZIVANOVIC.......
Daleko ambijentalnija od njegovog rada s Camelom, Bardensova karijera od 1980-ih na težila je žanru novog doba, stopljena s laganim makom prog u veni Alana Parsonsa/Keatsa. U seriji "Seen One Earth" on opisuje utopičku viziju istraživača svemira koji gleda u ovu plavu kuglu u jedva pola sata uzorkovanja svojih novootkrivenih glazbenih interesa.Osim "Seascapea" i "Home Thoughtsa", koji bi mogli biti lakši na nekim od ranih Camel albuma, a obje su dobro izrađene melodije, većina ovog albuma je atmosfersko novo doba. "Čovjek živ" učinkovito prilagođava privlačan ritam i pjenušave sintesajzere, a vokalna melodija "In Dreams" lako bi mogla u potpunosti proći na projektu Alana Parsonsa, što znači da je odmah simpatična čak i ako je njegova snaga ostanka donekle ublažena.Vrijedi napomenuti da su umjetnička djela i produkcija izvrsni na mojoj LP verziji na Cinema, koja je namjeravala postati progresivna rock etiketa izbora tijekom mršavih kasnih 80-ih. Pristojan album unutar ograničenja svog stila i vrijedi pokupiti ako se njegova orbita podudara s vašom…………..Ladislav&ZIVANOVIC…….
Beaucoup plus ambiant que son travail avec Camel, la carrière de Bardens depuis les années 1980 a tendu vers un genre new-age, mélangé avec un prog de coquelicot léger dans la veine d’Alan Parsons / Keats. Dans « Seen One Earth », il décrit la vision utopique d’un explorateur de l’espace regardant cette boule bleue en à peine une demi-heure d’échantillonnage de ses nouveaux intérêts musicaux. Mis à part « Seascape » et « Home Thoughts », qui pourraient être plus légers sur certains des premiers albums de Camel, qui sont tous deux des morceaux bien conçus, la plupart de cet album est une nouvelle ère atmosphérique. « Man Alive » adapte efficacement le rythme accrocheur et les synthétiseurs étincelants, et la mélodie vocale « In Dreams » pourrait facilement passer entièrement sur le projet d’Alan Parsons, ce qui signifie qu’il est immédiatement sympathique même si sa résistance est quelque peu tempérée. Il convient de noter que les illustrations et la production sont excellentes sur ma version LP sur Cinema, qui avait l’intention de devenir le label de rock progressif de choix pendant la fin des années 80. Un album décent dans les limites de son style et il vaut la peine de ramasser si son orbite coïncide avec le vôtre.............. Ladislav&ZIVANOVIC.......
