mac is unix based, root accessin unix is like administrator privileges but on the system level, if you have the root password then you have the highest privilege possible, if somebody gets the root password to your computer and they change it your screwed
I'd like to hear you thoughts about window xp being leaked and how hackers can use that to try to exploit windows 10, because the code may be pretty much similar.
The biggest vulnerability I think aren't the people that use windows 10, rather the businesses that uses them. Some hospitals that I know revolve around windows XP because it's where their software is built on.
@Nikko A. I agree with this, they are more prone to attacks. And I think by using the windows xp code, hackers will find vulnerabilities and will try to exploit them on windows 10 as well. Although if windows 10 is built from scratch, not using windows xp code I don't think hackers can use the leaked code to attack.
but technically windows users is a wider spectrum with majority consisting of people uneducated about malware soo could be less reports because of the quality of user base instead of quantity
If you writes comments on the apple community forum you have individuals who against you to speak up that you need antivirus or malwarebytes for the mac computers. They will say that it is not necessary to install antivirus software on your mac computers.
I'm curious about that root access thing ;)

4 likes@ajddavid452 That is not a vulnerability? You can get administrator/root priveleges on any OS if you have the password
2 likes@Kris10an no the vulerability comes from the fact the t2 chip can bypass the root password(well that's my hypothesis but it does make sense)
4 likes@ajddavid452 I didn't want to know what it is but how I can exploit that flaw in the os
1 like@A n just look it up? iirc the people that found it released the information to the public
1 like@ajddavid452 see the winky in the above comment?

An apple a day keeps the viruses away
1 likeits probably cause windows 10 comes with a good anti virus and that apple users are stupid and dont know how to avoid viruses.
1 likeso how do we protect our macs other than the obvious two factor Authentication and Anti virus software
0 likesI got verbally clobbed by macs fan boys that antiviruses software is not need in macs.
