Yesterday's Lie was my favorite episode of the series for a long time (until we got Hollow Mind) because it really makes you understand Luz character and how much she is flawed and how it put a weight on her relationship with Camila and of course, her entire life on the Boiling Isles. Absolutely amazing stuff. Also a lot of set up in this: Gravesfield symbol being so similar to the Emperor Coven one, two brothers going into the Human Realm, one of them looking like a lot like Philip Wittebane.
I've been slowly catching up to your reactions of Owl House. It took time for me to warm up to this show but near the end of the first season it clicked for me. Hunter is an interesting addition as well. Despite him turning on Amity I felt bad for him when he was "digging his own grave." He really cares for his uncle, but I can't shake that sinking feeling in my stomach his uncle does not look at him in the same way.
I'm not sure if I would have watched this show on my own, but I'm enjoying it watching this series for the first time with you. Thank you so much for your wonderul reactions. I'm always looking forward to a new update every day.
You're right on the money that the goth girl has the same voice actress as Azula. She also voiced Katya, one of Raine's allies in Eda's Requiem...who also was the fanfic girl in the first episode of the series. Also, speaking of Avatar, I'm pretty sure Amity using her abomination goo so similar to a waterbender is a reference to her actress' previous role as Katara.
That's a really good guess about Philip and Belos. Funny enough, they both have different voice actors. Also, Luz's first message to Amity said, "U R Pretty." And a lot of people actually ship Vee with Tarot Card Girl/Azula.
You saw how Amity's parents rised her and she even say it in this Episode so no wonder even when she knew that Luz really love her she can't forget how her parents treated her since she can remember.
I really like the last 2 Episode's of s2a but i still get a little upset when the key who whas Hiden All the time come out at the end for no reason beside that Both Partys get blood and that Amity didn't wear for some reason the neclace she normaly wear so that she can put the key instead.

Yesterday’s Lie sure unveiled that “Creepy Luz” is NOT what it was believed to be. Instead, we got a precious little basilisk named Vee.
8 likesHave to thank Michale Dietz (aka Amethyst) for giving such a touching performance as Vee. Steven Universe never left!

Yup. Amity learned well from Master Katara.
1 likeI searched up Vee’s voice actress and she isn’t the person who voiced vapor trail from mlp who said sugar cubes

0 likesJust one interesting premise after another in S2 and it only gets more engaging from here.
2 likesEclipse Lake is interesting. Yesterday's lie is fantastic, and Luz has a great mom.
0 likesOh! You're thinking of Sugar Belle from mlp. Huh, their voices do sound shockingly similar. I don't think it's the same voice actress though.
