We're all the main character because we're 1st personing a meat body and living our own lives, but at the same time we're also the side characters and extras of other peoples' shows. Our lives are both incredibly important and absolutely hidden and unimportant. It's like we all have our own animes and spin-offs that go on until we die. Our own wonderful and terrifying stories, our sad moments and character arcs, and inevitably the end of the show. Other characters have their own shows, everyone who lives past the toddler stage gets their own show.

Wait that's not possible because I'm the background character. The basic cut of the typical human being and bland features. Someone no one pays attention to and has no real depth in personality. Well,from my perspective I think it is about Jhon a 44 year old man who has just lost his daughter Julia summer,he never knew what happened to his parents and his wife died giving birth, after that John's life had no sense,but 5 years later Jhon received a letter from an aunt he didn't even know existed that lived in Texas. Well this is when things start to get confusing, after visiting his aunt she tells him about an ancient power burried long ago in the far away mountains of Alaska, Jhon tries to climb the mountain since his life has no meaning and no one would be in his funeral except his recently discovered aunt,Jhon dies in the process of climbing the mountain and a fire wave bursted through the mountain's core revealing a inside cave system, then Angela, Jhons aunt appears in the shadows from inside the cave, she walks slowly towards Jhon grabbing his body and entering the cave system.well I couldn't figure out what happened next but this is my interpretation for now

@Jacoby weird, i've always found it easy, EXCEPT FOR THAT DAMN CARROT MINIGAME. it's probably not a pro tip, but: if you fight literally every enemy you see no matter what, you'll level up a ton. you could always even try the remaster if it's older counterpart is a little bit tricky.

I had one when I was a little kid. I had Namco Museum on it too, which was my favorite game back then. The bottom screen is broken tho so it's hard to play most games
I remember waking up to see a dsi by my bed when I was nine, a gift from my mom. I played with the flipnotes until it ran out of battery and died. Gud times.
I had one but my brothers got a hold of it, cracked the top part of the screen but was still able to be used, then eventually they throw it in the toilet and it's done for. All my DSi games and flipnotes were gone. :(

So many memories are flooding back to me,,, the DS was my first console and I got it when I was like 5 or something. I think I still have some of my oldest notes on it, and it still works kinda... the camera turned black and it’s hard to see but I can still use it, I should go check it sometime
Man, everyone always talks about how nostalgic flipnote hatena is. Personally, I still draw using it to this day, since 2010. It offers some really nice tools for a software of its age. In other words, I heard these sound effects earlier today, lol.
flipnote studio is definitely nostalgic, but i think when people mention hatena they mean the online service and watching other people’s flipnotes- the old memes and stuff on there, etc. before sudomemo.

Oh yeah. I used to have that frog animation thing on my old DS. I used it recently too. If I could charge my 11 year old DS I could simply do a flipnote animation. I don't care if the program was shut down I have the power of gods.
I remember I used to draw stickman fights with flipnote, then my younger sister somehow managed to delete the app and I didn't know how to download it again :(
I remember all of these sounds i was even anticipating the sound at the end but for some reason my mind is nit rembering the image that goes with these sounds i hope I’m not getting dementia
I don't know what I just watched. Or how I got here. Or where I am. Or who I am. But this frog fills me with the most powerful, eldritch magic; I feel completed, in a way that does not seem to make sense to me yet. But it will in due time.

These noises are from Flipnote Studio. I remember these noises. I used to have a pink DSI and I would always doodle in Flipnote Studio. Sad Flipnote Hatena and Flipnote Studio is discontinued, and I’m also sad that we can’t download things on the DSI anymore. I was looking to find another DSI to use Flipnote Studio, or get a 3DS and find a way to download it.
For any nostalgic here, unfortunately Flipnote Hatena is no more, that's not recent, but there's still Sudomemo!! Accessible either on the internet or on your ds or even 3ds if you hack it :)
this entire channel feels like the weirdest fever dream and childhood memories and trauma hodgepodge i have had in years. this video specifically reminds me of the time when my dad got me a used dsi as a gift, and it had some images of some people, and it had asdfmovie2 in flipnote studio fully animated frame by frame.
Jak These days, the only reason to have the DSi version over the 3DS version is if you downloaded lots of flipnotes from Flipnote Hatena back in the day. (Hope you have some!)
@Theepicplays1 a Nintendo DS (DSi, 3DS) app to draw and create flipnotes in, then upload them publicly. basically just a very lightweight animation app.
the best part however was that you could comment on published flipnotes, and thus the users created makeshift chat rooms to hang out in. small communities were made and with it, memories.
it is when we are very bored and after watching youtube for a long time, they just like "We ran out of options!! Here lets just throw them some random crap."

If you have a DS, here is how you get Hatena back. Go into settings, and internet. Change your primary DNS to 104.248.000.110 and secondary to 008.008.008.008. Save settings, go into flipnote, click Hatena and enjoy :)

While that's not likely to happen, that would be quite eerie for another similar species to find this. They wouldn't know that it's just flipnote. They wouldn't know about flipnote. They'd think we were an always scary/eerie species. I mean, we kinda are, but you get what I mean.

Question, what if you weren't born early enough to even know what this is? Even then, I don't think everyone who owned or owns a DS would know what this is. Flipnote was a pretty miscellanies app and I know that I personally never used it for much. Probably the only reason I even remembered it existed is that I and a friend wanted to play Mario Kart DS and while I was flipping through my apps I remembered it. That and the final noise sounded familiar.

@Suugko They are just the iconic menu soundeffects from an animating software called flipnote. The frog is the mascot of the app and a lot of people who had/have nintendo ds or 3ds systems used to play with it. (as far as I know it's only on Nintendo?)
Plaguis Soryr no need to be salty man. My first contact with memes was in flipnote hatena. I didn't said amvs originated there. But, I do believe a lot of people had contact with it through flipnote, like the same way AMVs didn't originated in youtube, but it got popularized in it. Also the same thing to "This is Sparta" memes. I know it didn't originated here, but it was from there and youtube that I had the first contact. But like J T, I think it probably had some influence in early youtube, I am not sure where, but I think it had. Or flipnote was influenced completely by youtube, and I'm wrong. But still, I have fond memories of it.

Only DSi. I know because a game store employee lied to child me and told me the ds lite is just like my dsi, except the buttons work better, so i traded. I am still so hurt

This frog came from a DSi program called Flipnote Studio. People are crying (including me) because this thing was true nostalgia. It was around in the early 2000s and you were able to make animations and share it to people via Flipnote Hatena. It got shut down in 2013-ish. Its sad bc there was always something to do on there, watch people’s animations, try and fail to make animations, and share them with ur friends. Such fun.

Our own wonderful and terrifying stories, our sad moments and character arcs, and inevitably the end of the show. Other characters have their own shows, everyone who lives past the toddler stage gets their own show.

0 likesQuestion, what if you weren't born early enough to even know what this is? Even then, I don't think everyone who owned or owns a DS would know what this is. Flipnote was a pretty miscellanies app and I know that I personally never used it for much. Probably the only reason I even remembered it existed is that I and a friend wanted to play Mario Kart DS and while I was flipping through my apps I remembered it. That and the final noise sounded familiar.

Plaguis Soryr no need to be salty man. My first contact with memes was in flipnote hatena. I didn't said amvs originated there. But, I do believe a lot of people had contact with it through flipnote, like the same way AMVs didn't originated in youtube, but it got popularized in it.

This frog came from a DSi program called Flipnote Studio. People are crying (including me) because this thing was true nostalgia. It was around in the early 2000s and you were able to make animations and share it to people via Flipnote Hatena. It got shut down in 2013-ish. Its sad bc there was always something to do on there, watch people’s animations, try and fail to make animations, and share them with ur friends. Such fun.
