Th3 Grave of Wrath no, people are actually protesting since they want to see change because over time many things have happened with their race, the greedy, selfish people are the ones that are taking advantage
The riots are not actually doing justice to Floyd's death. It's basically making things worse, makes people lose their jobs and homes, and is causing chaos. Please if you have anyone you know who's rioting, tell them to stop!!!
@Mr. Vinster Guyster we don't even talk about EVERYONE (like games and tv shows) decided to "fix" racism by removing it for good, sadly getting a more racist action and double the backlash as before. And reminder: Floyd parents didn't asked for this, the SJW did
But uh... We tried to be peaceful before and they never really listened or did anything. Plus, the cops started it by throwing tear gas when they were protesting peacefully. Sometimes you gotta fight back whether you like it or not. You can't just sit there and not do anything about it. I don't agree with violence, but I'll fight back if I have to. It's like getting bullied at school, you're not gonna just let the bully beat you up and kick you down and shit.
@Mada Mada Lmao you sound very ignorant. There have been countless videos over the past few days of police using tear gas on protesters. All you have to do is look it up.
Violence is what killed George Floyd. If y'all didn't want people to riot they should have arrested and charged the four officers right after the murder occurred. People are tired of peacefully protesting and still not being heard. Things need to change and fast.
@No. fighting back is much different from burning down innocent businesses and people's homes and stealing people's shit. fighting back against cops is standing your ground, not fucking destroying the income and lives of innocent people.

@Mari maybe I am ignorant. So be it. I don't enjoy the news and especially not lately. The last thing I need to wake up to is seeing mayhem in the streets and rising numbers.
Frost Rusher Being peaceful isn't working. Being violent isn't working. What do you propose people do? Seriously. Y'all talk a lot but don't give any solutions.
@Mada Mada No one likes it. There would not even be riots if all four officers had been arrested. Also you shouldn't be proud of being ignorant. Educate yourself if you don't know something.
Amari Fuller you act like we did this, but I’m sitting at home doing nothing because of quarantine wtf did I do. What happened to George is a tragedy and there needs to be major reform in the way police are trained, but this isn’t doing anything.
I say this knowing 2 things are true. 1 George Floyd’s death is unacceptable and those who had a hand in it should be brought to justice. 2 these rioters are in the wrong and hurting good people who have done nothing wrong to anyone, let alone George Floyd.
In my opinion, they are just as bad, possibly even worse than that police officer. Whats the betting they have killed more people than one insignificant cop.
Honestly, I feel bad for the shop workers. Losing their livelihoods because of a few racist cops and some wannabe Jacobins must really seem unfair to them. At least the rioters haven't raided hospitals or essential workers, but who knows at this point?
@Grace Corrin Think for a second. None of these shop owners did anything, they are innocent, and these imbeciles are going in, and burning down their damn shops, and beating them up in some cases. I am going to guess that more people have died that that idiot police man. I'm not saying that the cop was in the right, but neither are the rioters.
CRAZYD4VE87 That’s what I keep talking about. Just replace the poor being fucked over by the rich with police unjustly killing people and you’ve got our modern day.

Well IDK about that but who knows.. let's hope not. I mean, it's super scary though that's for sure... there's so much crazy sh!t going on, it's ridiculous. Thankfully I live a little ways from Minneapolis but still, not far. About an hour or so depending on where exactly IN Minneapolis we're talking.. but yeah :/ kinda uneasy honestly
Levi Davis just know why it’s going on. It’s not only because of one occurrence. It’s everything. Everything was built up and recently there’s been a skyrocket of minority murders by police. That was the breaking point. It’s sad to see us fighting against the tyrannical government only to be met by self entitled racist who only sees destruction cause that’s all they know
George would be very sad right now... this isn’t justice for him. Vandalism and hurting a man that tried to stop ppl from breaking into a northstrom store in downtown Seattle
ERIC RAMAKHAN We all did. We all saw that he was screaming "I can't breathe" before he was even on the ground. This is because he was overdosing on fentanyl and methamphetamine.
@Me Derp This was the first thing that came to mind when I watched the video because the quote is from the episode footage shown. Any similarities with other comments are likely pure coincidence, but I suppose you don't understand what a coincidence is. You're like those people who can't think of anything and just comment "R/woosh".
“Okay guys, we just go in and start a chant, okay?” “Hey GuYs, whAt iF wE sTArt like... Vandalizing buildings?” “Whatt? No, then people will just think-“ “Then just start... breaking shit?” “No, we’re protesting police brutality, not giving them a reason to-“ “So that’s the plan?” “Listen, this only diminishes our point! If we turn violent, then there will just be-“ “Alright, les go.”
Brandon Stowe you mean like how the stonewall riots diminished the gays point? oh wait, they got their rights after that. those damn suffragette though huh? damn, hold up, those got women their rights. well, remember the riots that incited after MLK’s death and how pointless they were? oh no the civil rights act was passed right after that. slavery revolt? couldnt be, helped earn their freedom. well fuck, kinda looks like rioting has worked time and time again in the past.
Necro Do you really think it was the riots that passed the Civil Rights Bill? It takes months for anything to get passed in Congress, even longer for everyone to agree on the contents of the bill. There was literally almost a two day long fillabuster to block that bill. Let me be honest here, Malcolm X and his riots didn’t do anything for Equal Rights, that was MLK and his PEACEFUL protests, where he literally kicked out and condemned anyone who attempted violence.
And Women’s Suffrage protests was in NO WAY violent. They were probably the most peaceful out of all of them. I don’t know much about the stonewall riots, so I’ll make no comment on it.
Jason Driz https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_Rights_Act_of_1968 first paragraph, and in the Background section. ill summarize the quote, “two breakthroughs revived the bill. the 1967 race riots. the final breakthrough came in the aftermath of Kings assassination. and the civil unrest across the country following his death.” president johnson wrote a letter during this time urging the house of rep. to pass part of the act.

Well they have tried peacefully protesting, but often times they just hit the protesters with their police cars. And although violence might get the point across, they shouldn't burn down people's small business or start killing innocent people. (Also posting a black jpeg probably wont do anything either)
It’s horrible what happened to George Floyd, and the people burning down small and big businesses are making it so much worse for everyone. People are losing their jobs. These ‘protestors’ are going to burn their city to the ground. :( Edit: just wanted to say my opinions about all of this have changed a lot since it began. I understand now that the lives that have been lost because of police brutality are waaaayyy more important than stores and merchandise.
The police officers are going undercover and breaking windows and setting the buildings on fire. One man was even identified as an officer. It all starts peaceful until the police start shooting, macing, beating up, and running over protesters.
fannypack yeah people are dying from these riots. It honestly feels they don’t care about George too much anymore, they just want to get free stuff and get away with crime. It’s not justified. I don’t see riots for the people who die from the riots, or for the people who lose everything just because someone else died. These people are having their lives ruined but IM ASSUMING the police don’t wanna get involved because they could receive backlash, but in reality they should because besides the army, they are the only people who can stop this unethical rampage.
trianglecow there was also identified facebook groups sending citizens out to make protesters look violent by causing damage, a lot of people who worked at the places that got looted and burned even said it was obvious that the looters were not a part of the protests as they just came to loot and left, no protesting. the protesters were caught of film trying to stop people from looting and starting fires.
trianglecow explain why almost every city that the riots took place, there were live feeds showing that the police shot first at the peaceful protestors, inciting the riots. even saw it first hand in my own city, and dallas is streaming this very second showing that the police have trapped the protestors on a bridge and are tear gassing them.
Bobby The Cat oh, police are getting plenty involved by inciting the riots and throwing in undercover agents to pop off the looting. remember what was exposed in 2014? eh, you probably dont or you wouldnt have such an uninformed opinion
The burning of Target and other businesses was because they took advantage of employees by collecting checks supposed to help them, then laying off half their employees. However, they shouldn't attack smaller businesses.
your privilege is showing, get your priorities straight. you should be saying “its horrible whats happening to property, but the killing of innocent blacks by police is making it so much worse for everyone. people are losing their lives. these “protectors” are going to brutalize the people they swore to serve and protect into the ground. :(“ you’re part of the problem for thinking the destruction of property and loss of jobs is worse than the destruction and loss of lives
Necro honey I never said the destruction of stores and such is worse than the loss of lives. I’m saying these people are not getting justice for George Floyd. They’re looting, setting fires, and causing more people to lose their lives. That is NOT justice. George would not have wanted that, obviously.
fannypack what you said was the equivalent to “what happened to george was bad, but the riots and looting need to stop!” versus saying “whats happening to property is bad, but the killing of innocent blacks needs to stop!” and if youre only just now becoming actively vocal about the situation because of the riots, but you stay silent and dont speak against these countless acts of police brutality when they happen, it only affirms that privilege.
Necro it’s not my ‘privilege’ showing. It’s my concern for my relatives and everyone else who lives in Minnesota. Just because I speak about one doesn’t mean I think it’s more important than the other. I want justice for George Floyd and everyone else unnecessarily killed by police. Killing more people is not justice.
fannypack its not as if blacks have been concerned for their own and their relatives lives for centuries. what have you done to support them and their movement of the past decade versus what youre doing now by deciding to use your voice for what is only the aftermath of the unspeakable damage years of systemic racism and police brutality has done? anything? or do you only decide to use your voice when the problem appears on your doorstep? remember how those many peaceful protests over the past 10 years brought no change whatsoever and just got blacks heavily criticized as being unamerican? and remember how the riots following MLK’s death urged the civil rights act to be passed? spot the difference.
trianglecow I think you maybe proved my point? What I wanted to say is that in this context they are the most vulnerable to attacks and the ones which are going to be the most affected. As you said, major corporations can without a doubt pay loans.
@ConstantArtBlock even if all that undercover cop stuff was true they didnt force people to burn buildings, if they were so peaceful they wouldve told him to stop breaking windpws you idiot
@Nayru look at MLK, his whole reaspn of ending segregation through peace, y'all are undoing his work. We were in the home stretch to equality and you mucked it all up
ThatguyfromAK They didn’t go to jail or anything and were later released, the chief/governor of the city (I think it was in Minnesota) had to apologize to the president of CNN.
This is actually really scary, I live only 20 mins away so they could easily start rioting in our area

OMG! You too? I live about an hour away but the GF lives literally 25 or 30 or so minutes away. I know it... it's scary sh!t. I totally agree. Her grandparents and dad live in the heart of it all though, and they dont even have guns like me and my family do... that's the scariest part. I dont get how there's so many people that dont have firearms of some sort when they live in the heart of the city where crime is high. It's crazy. My mom's side all has their conceal and carry licenses and always have a handgun concealed around their waist but it's really hard to see because of the way they conceal it, also, my bro has a, more or less, fully automatic AR15 Assault Rifle with a binary trigger and a few 50 round mags for sh!t like this
I live 10 minutes away from the rioting areanot in Minneapolis but in a different state with similar conditions, but I do live in a place with only houses so unless they decide to riot there and rob houses, I should be fine
“We did it Patrick, we saved the country!” Honestly I have no Idea what people think violence, stealing and arson is going to do to help anyone much less a cause
There were many Asian and Latino businesses utterly destroyed and set on fire....hurting other POC's livelihood helps no one. The looters are nothing but opportunists.
C.C Carlhead it shouldn’t matter what the business owners’ races are to begin with. Pinning blame on all white people for the actions of a few racist cops is like pinning blame on all black people for the actions of a few criminals who don’t represent the vast majority of society. It’s racist and damaging
@Epic Corn i was calling out hypocrisy amongst POC looters. Speak about white issues if you want but I'm allowed to cover a specific issue. Literally never blamed all white people for anything.
The reason police dont like black people is because of their stereotype of being a thug or a hoodlum. So burning everything to """"PrOtEsT""" about Floyd's murder doesn't help end that stereotype

Linctonamor I was thinking the exact same thing, good to see that some people still see things logically. Not trying to imply that George’s death is a joke or a good thing though.
@Andrew I disagree because its not just black people who are rioting, its called rioting not protesting btw. And people who are rioting aren't trying to end sterotypes, its police brutality and racism thats got to end
It’s weird how blacks are always peacefully protesting but then when racist bigots purposely kill blacks as cops multiple times but now everyone is paying attention because they are rioting. In reality whites are too
Also the George Floyd problem is like poking someone. You keep poking someone no matter what they say (like please stop) until they are fed up with the BS and they grab the finger and break it. Seems Familiar
its almost as if you actually believe that the protestors are the same people as the looters. im curious, how is it to have such a simple mind incapable of independent thought, or being able to look into things on your own?
Frost Rusher your comment is pretty ironic seeing as youre completely ignorant to the fact that cops incited the riots. you take angry and tense but peaceful protestors and barrage them with tear gas and rubber bullets, if you dont expect them to shoot back you are literally a walking brain slushy. stop blindly following surface level media, oh wait, even some mainstream news outlets are exposing whats really happening.
I'm 40 minutes away and I saw smoke rising from the Minneapolis at around 5:30am when I was driving to work on Friday. The electric company I work for literally got done remodeling some of those Targets that got looted like 6 months before all this stuff started.
You guys should've been there to see how it looked like in real llife. My house was a minutes walk away from all the chaos. My parents and I lived in constant fear that the rioters would go to the neighborhoods next and cause more rioting. (But it didn't happen so it's all good.) The street that was affected by this is still destroyed in some places, a police department in the area has been shutdown for over a year now, but in some stores like a liquor shop that had been demolished by the riot, left an empty space there with only an area of grass with some benches to cover it up like a permanent, nice, and calming bandaid to reassure us that everything is okay now. And I'm glad that those riots are over.
Not saying I agree, but I see the mindset behind it. If you are trying to get your point across peacefully but people wont listen, of course you are going to do something to make a louder voice for yourself. Not necessarily smash up everything but to make a commotion to get everybody's attention and make it known. Sometimes just a verbal chat isnt enough and actions are what's needed to show how strongly you feel about an issue. Again, not saying i agree with what is going on ,though. And either way, there is more too it then just a bunch of black people smashing up stuff because one of them got killed by a cop. There is more about it behind the scenes that people dont talk about...
@Unusual Comment A lot of the time just talking peacefully doesn't work you see. I agree with you and believe in everything what you say to be true, but in modern day society, sometimes just having a civilised conversation to get one's point across doesnt always work. I wish that all these violent riots wouldn't happen but at the same time, peacefully sharing opinions to try and find a midpoint where everyone can be happy just cant happen with how ignorant and biased people are. It's sad. People need to find a way to get their point across in a more appropriate manner, but at the same time, the receiving end should also be willing to listen so everyone is happy. Which clearly isnt happening and dont see not happening any time soon.
@Unusual Comment if people listend to the protests in the first place and heard them out and decided to try and act upon it, the riots and violence probably wouldn't be as bad as they are now. You should deliver your point in an orderly manner but also receive other people's points in an orderly manner. But the problem is, people dont want to listen to something they dont agree with.
Blaze the tepig I don’t completely agree, before the police came, they were peacefully protesting, then when they came they became a bit more angry, and then it started to be hectic. They wanted to be heard, and they believe they need to do something about it. It’s like when Rosa Parks was arrested, and then many other blacks, and some whites, rooted for it, and it eventually led to change.
@DxnnyDuckz I peaceful protests do work though, martin luther king jr, rosa parks, the sit-ins, etc. when it comes to the civil rights movement, you only hear about the ones who peacefully protested because they made the most change. ive never heard of a civil rights leader who started riots.
@Ò ‸ Ó You are right, they have worked. And still, some respectable people even now in Minneapolis are trying to protest peacefully. But they aren't nearly as widely heard or talked about are they. Things have kinda changed since the 1960s and lots of things heard now are simply just not cared about by the general public; simply because it is not directly concerning them. Not saying all that is happening in Minneapolis is right as I believe it isnt, what I am saying though is the peaceful BLM protests now a days just aren't heard as wide spread and aren't as acted upon.
“im ignorant to the police inciting the riots in multiple cities as seen on the live feeds that they shadily tried to interrupt, i havent seen the videos of police running down peaceful protestors and firing rubber bullets at people standing on their own porches, ive yet to come across the photo of a young child who got maced by a cop i dont bother to look into the situation myself and just view it in the most surface level way i possibly can” man i see why you do this, its fun to quote people between the lines and expose their complete ignorance.
Ò ‸ Ó lot of talk about civil rights from someone who’s unaware that the post MLK death riots literally got the civil rights act passed. i appreciate the irony in your comment though.
I wrote this in a reply but also posting it as a comment:
People are saying that all this damage being done is better than murder, but just because something is better than murder doesn’t mean you should keep doing it. All this chaos, damage, vandalism, fires, is doing nothing to help with this movement. In fact, it’s not helping anything. This is not going to make people listen. This is only going to prompt other people to turn away and give them a reason to delegitimize the protests, even though there are many other peaceful protests going on. This is only going to heighten tensions between the people and the police.
Furthermore, other people have to clean up the mess after the riots are over. Those firefighters have to put out the fires. And all those damaged and vandalized buildings will have to be fixed and rebuilt. People who had their businesses looted and/or destroyed will also have to deal with that themselves. People on both sides are getting attacked, injured and even killed. This is just causing unnecessary devastation. Most of this could have been avoided if the protests stayed peaceful. You don’t need this level of violence and disregard to have a strong protest or bring change. Yes, it’s better than killings, but does that make it okay? Does that mean we should allow this chaos any further? Of course it doesn’t.
I understand that people are very angry, and they have every right to be. But we are all better than this. And we should show everyone that we are better than this. If we show that, then it will help tremendously in expressing the true motives of the protests, and helping others listen to what we are saying and act on it. With what’s going on right now, though, I feel it’s only going to set us back.
I'm so glad I got out of Minnesota couple weeks ago before the riots started. Please be safe everyone hope these riots get under control soon. RIP George Floyd that should have never happened to you.
Some of my friends went to the protest in Seattle and I was really worried. Also the fact that people were destroying stores and businesses is a very shitty thing to do. Those people don’t even care that George Floyd was mistreated and killed. I’m really starting to lose my faith in humanity.
My uncles friends buisness was partially burned. They were the sweetest people ive met, but they weren’t mad about it. I remember her sayimg something like, “let our business burn, if it teaches those policemen a lesson”
Tbh, you can’t say robbing a target and burning down a couple buildings is getting justice for Mr. Floyd. There are people out here trying to make a difference, but this ain’t it...
well to be fair this has never been about George Floyd. Yes he's the current victim but it's more about the systematic police brutality. If this didn't happen a ton there wouldn't be protests.
trianglecow I mean neither does peaceful protest, almost every BLM protest has been equated to unjust, unneeded, or just outright ignored. And you can't say rioting does nothing either, a police man got charged in 4 days of a crime, that's literally a record time to prosecute a P.O
trianglecow to be fair you need to have a very high iq to understand why people would burn small businesses for no reason other than looting them and lying about your goal it takes a very smart person to realize that if one guy in a certain group is racist that mean all of them racist
@Dane StambaughGood, they got one person charged in 4 days. Now let's move onto the hundreds of people who are getting their property destroyed. You have to look at the greater good with rioting, sure it might get the job done, but it creates many more problems that didn't exist before for everyone involved. Peacefully protesting is a more passive approach and sure it takes much longer but the reality is, it works. And it has little to no negative affect on anyone else's lives.
@doogus that's the thing though, you're going off the good graces of an already angry demographic that feels wrongly treated, how long does one go off these good graces? Doesn't really matter though, the reality is riots like this are great in the eyes of democrats who will use the loss of business and price of property damage to keep black Americans in inner cities and keep their votes in their pockets, and repubs will use it to perpetuate thug stereotypes amongst democrats or POC. The sad reality is its all based on political gain no matter what does or doesn't happen
oh it aint? you mean like how the post mlk death riots didnt get the civil rights act passed 6 days later? oh wait they did. maybe youre talking about how the stonewall riots didnt give gays rights, oh shit, they did. perhaps youre talking about the suffragettes who rioted for women’s rights and failed. wait, fuck, those worked too. the slave revolts maybe? oh nah, those helped them earn freedom. well fuck, its kinda looking like riots have worked again and again throughout history
Violence is not the answer. If you have a friend or anyone you know who's rioting, I highly recommend you to tell them to stop. Rioting is doing more injustice to George Floyd's death than justice.
RIP George, just sad how the people are spitting on the dudes memory. No one asks themselves what he woulda wanted and are instead taking advantage. It’s so upsetting that people even have the capacity to do stuff like this. Also give those 4 cops life in prison dude. Fuck that 3rd degree shit no way after saying you can’t breath for 7 minutes straight is it an accident.
No. They're just trying to get noticed and it's working because we've tried to be peaceful before and it never worked. They're not hurting innocents so it's fine by me.
Kami no hakai they are ruining people’s life’s work, but I guess that’s not important, only stopping police brutality does. Seriously. What the cop did was atrocious and inhumaine, but it’s not your job to make justice. There are judges for that. And anyways, the rioters have no valid reason because: 1) nothing indicates that George was killed because of his skin color 2) the cop was arrested very quickly compared to other arrests in this state So justice will be served.
@ObihugzenobiToo be fair, how can you prove if it is a racial issue or not without the officer saying or it being obvious (and I dont think any police officer would just straight up announce that it was because of his race ). Sometimes you gotta use your own initiative as things like this have happened many times before.
As much as I would love a eye for an eye, ya, time or even life in prison is a just punishment. Most of them never really cared honestly, just saw the headline and knew people would be looking away if they said it's protest..
BadDecisionTheBold it was all peaceful protests until the Police came, they just wanted to be heard by the government so they could do something so this situation wouldn’t happen again.
Kami no hakai they’re hurting tons of innocents how bout the store owners the cops protecting those store owners who mind u ARE BEING BURNED ALIVE BY MOLOTOV COCKTAILS just cause there trying to defend their local small businesses people are saying they’re doing it for George but I think it’s Sade to presume George wouldn’t have wanted this.
y'all love to hype the Boston Tea Party and consider it a brave act of rebellion yet when black people do it because they're fed up with being murdered for no reason they deserve to be jailed.
@piss fart Hey numbnuts, the Boston Tea Party was about destroying THE KING OF ENGLAND'S tea by shoving it in the harbor. Because they were being taxed without representation. So they did some damage to his tea trade.
But what these rioters are doing is outright theft of legitimate businesses and hurting innocent people's livelihoods. Oh yeah, also hurting innocent people too, that's a thing .
Lmao I'm In my house barricaded in Minneapolis and there are helicopters around the national gaurd with out ammo and shots have been fired burning cop cars man is this relevant rn
Hey mayt. Can you do some nostalgic video games too? Like early 2000s PC games. Maybe on windows XP. I'm honestly looking for a certain brick Breaker game I played on the PC B4. It wasn't like the normal ones where it's space themed. It was just a simple brick Breaker. You control a grey paddel. The power up blocks were pink/magenta? And it had tons of levels that were kinda like puzzles
Bro have you heard about those new shoes at target? Yea! We are going to need an excuse to steal them though.. Hmm... Oh look! Somebody innocent died! Let's use that as an excuse!
speeding up the process is accepting that police can brutalize anyone with little to no consequence. if you dont know how past riots have successfully passed basic human rights time and time again in the past, dont bother speaking on whats going on now.
This is so true. And yet, I don't blame them tbh. I mean, yeah, they shouldn't light things on fire and destroy their own town, but I understand the anger. There isn't justice for George Floyd's death, so what is there to be happy about?
You know, this reminded me of Do The Right Thing. (SPOILERS if you haven't seen the movie. It's fantastic!)
So, the movie's finale involved Radio Raheem (one of the main characters) getting choked to death by the police. People are, of course, angry about it. Then Mookie throws a trash can into Sal's Pizzeria and a riot starts with it getting ransacked and burnt down. The Minneapolis riot is like that, but a hundred times worse.
Im kinda scared what's been happening to where i live a lot of riots, buildings going collapse, police cars burning all of that stuff... this is why i always stay inside because out there, the world is full of danger.
Most are just taking advantage of the situation. These are the people that shed a bad light on the ones who are actually looking for justice. Overshadowing the good with the bad and in turn getting more innocent lives lost.
TheHitman JCG i was there at the protests, obviously not torching shit and stealing shit, I literally saw them burn down an entire unfinished apartment complex
personally i believe ACAB bc even if theyre good theyre still working for a bastard organization that lets many police officers who commit crimes go free with no issue whatsoever, BUT i do agree that this rioting bullshit is just making everyone on every side look bad.
The entire situation Is a full fucking Greek Tragedy. The cop did something fucking horrible, so people found the injustice wrong and this is their way to make it 'right' or to be heard. However, they decided to burn innocent people's money source, people that had nothing to do with it. On the news, they're even talking about burning white households down. Some people rioting even surrounded a car full of white people. Because they think it's justifying the wrong a cop did. So in their eyes, the rioting is appropriate. However, the police (who, had nothing to do with this, up until the government forced them to protect the city) have found those actions harmful (and they are.) So, of course, they are doing their job and attempting to protect the remains of their assigned spots, which is right to them. Everyone is doing something they souly believe is right, when both have wrongs, and is making a complete mess, because neither can stop without the other stopping first.
Then why are they beating up, cursing out, and running over actual protesters, macing literal children from an unsafe distance, and pushing protesters on to the ground when they get close to them?
@ConstantArtBlock They give warnings to people, the protesters didn't listen so they have to act with force. As for the child, well that's the parents who brought them there. And when you get closed in by a group of angry protesters, who wouldn't lash out?
RnL Productions THINK! Innocent people businesses and people are in danger. The places that are being burned are putting risk to anybody in or around them. They have the right to be scared.
“most cops are good” is like an airline saying “most our pilots land but the others like crashing into mountains, please bare with us.” see how in some jobs you cant even afford a “few” bad ones?
Unacknowledged your very first sentence explains what the black community faces in front of police brutality and profiling every day, yet you use your voice to speak against the destruction of property. if you’re white, your privilege is showing, if you’re not, you sure are speaking the language.
If the supposed “good cops” don’t report the bad cops for abusing their power, they are no longer “good cops”. And when an actual good cop does report them, they will be fired for snitching on a fellow officer
@Zeta Lufargo aka N3K0M1M1 An elderly man with a cane was pushed down. People who weren't apart of the protests was beaten in their own neighborhoods, a woman who was walking away from the police trying not to get involved was maced, pushed. A woman sitting at a bus station was shot in both eyes. A 10 year old was pepper sprayed, an Austrian news reporter was killed for mistaken for being black. Tons of innocents were abused and killed. @ooziTheSage It's not about which side is good. What you're not understanding is people are dealing with the ones that are BAD. The bad cops make more of an impact of the good ones. So are the protesters in the right too? No, neither side are right. There are evil cops violently hurting people without being punished all the time, escalating the situation. And there are evil citizens who are using this confusion to do crimes.
hey just wanna point out that protestors don't condone the actions of rioters. like... the Black Lives Matter stuff isn't meant to be *anarchy*, this protest isnt about burning down businesses and shit. people take advantage of the anger and frustration and use that for just cause to stir some shit. the actual protestors are going in the streets, making noise, blocking streets, all the normal protesting things; just on a large scale. trust me, when you think about this topic, know that the rioting and destruction isn't claimed by most people who actually want justice rn. it's kind of just a massive side effect. but on top of that, we shouldn't be more worried about property damage than we are about police brutality and a corrupt system, like... this isn't just about George Floyd, either, it's about years and years of people getting killed and mistreated just like Floyd.
not in Minneapolis (have family and friends who live there though), but some girl I knew from high school got implicated in property damage and looting from a bunch of fashion boutiques on my city's main street. pretty much everyone I know from HS has been clowning on her. I respect the people who are actually out there peacefully protesting against some legitimately shitty actions by the police, but fuck anyone who uses the unrest to steal free shit from people's businesses.
The sad thing is, they are not helping. They have hurt and destroyed many things and people that had nothing to do with this. This really needs to stop.
I live super close to minneapolis. Sucks to see that all those stores I love going to are being boarded up, and people being tier gassed, and Goerge floyd was killed for no reason.
George Floyd shouldn’t have died. I saw the whole video and it was genuinely revolting. That cop should definitely be behind bars.
With that being said, the rioting is sad and pathetic. You don’t use the death of a man to start looting businesses that had nothing to do with the situation.
Frost Rusher everyone hates them because cops are notorious for getting away with god awful shit. of course there are good people, but theyre still working for a bastard organization. a LARGE majority of cops are domestic abusers, i can recall several cases where cops murdered/r*ped innocent people and got away scot-free. theres a reason everyone hates them, its not because their jobs are shitty, it's because a huge majority of them are shitty people.
ItsPsycho ✓ cant change your mind eh? maybe history can. stonewall riots, suffragettes, post MLK death riots, slave revolts. what do these all have in common? oh yea, they all worked. should also bring to your attention that police are inciting the violence. https://www.facebook.com/325073484361098/posts/1416821801852922/?vh=e&d=n
Cop is being charged. Everyone is blaming systemic racism for the killing but the cop had a record of complaints and it was unions that kept him on the job. Also him and Floyd knew each other. They worked at a nightclub. Who knows what kind of beef was between them. It doesn’t always have to be about race
Ò ‸ Ó there are cases where cops used deadly force against criminals in the past. But use of deadly force is justified in certain situations. The rape thing sounds made up. And I also disagree that a huge majority of cops are shitty. It is a very small amount of them. Hating a whole group of people for what a small portion of them has done is not good. It’s a little hypocritical if you believe that the killing was race based.
WilburForce the stonewall riots helped gays attaint rights. the suffragette riots helped women attain rights. the slavery revolt helped them earn freedom. the MLK death riots urged the civil rights act to be passed. tell me again how they clearly didnt work.
Target really put out a statement saying that shit can be replaced, but black likes can’t. If it takes this to really speak to people they’re content with it. Damn target, my respect for you went up.
George Floyd died tragically. He didn't deserve this.
But the entire state of Minnesota didn't deserve to be burned down in a riot just because some people couldn't keep their temper. Floyd wouldn't have wanted this. Nobody would've. If you think rioting will help the situation, you're wrong.
The protesters didnt want fires and looting, there was identified facebook groups sending citizens out to make protesters look violent by causing damage (plus the undercover cops who did it too), a lot of people who worked at the places that got looted and burned even said it was obvious that the looters were not a part of the protests as they just came to loot and left, no protesting. The protesters were even caught on film trying to stop people from looting and starting fires. We are only being loud, not violent. The cops started the violence. Anyways, riots have proven to work (but im talking real riots, not people being sent to make a peaceful protest look violent, thats not a riot), its because the government refuses to listen to its people till we are "a threat", aka Stonewall, after MLK's murder, etc. You dont know what Floyd would have wanted, he most likely didn't think this would change anytime soon, DO NOT use a dead man like that.
i wouldn’t say the entire state got burned down. i live about 45 minutes from minneapolis and saint paul and there are no protests / riots here, nor is anything destroyed where i live.
pretty hard to keep your temper when youre already angry and tense but peacefully protesting and the cops open fire first. oh whoops, did you not know they’re the ones inciting riots? my bad, please, go back to your blissful ignorance
and were wrong about riots working? oh, i guess stonewall, the suffragettes, the post mlk death riots, and the slave revolt didnt successfully aid their cause. im sure you’re aware of those little parts of history, yes?
i wish everyone involved had George Floyd at the root of their actions, but it feels like people are using this movement to stage this anarchy shit when it isn't really part of the point.
Alex they just wanna get away with it all while they have something to blame it on. Heck, they burnt down a black (I think we was a former cop, either that or he is one now, not sure)’s business he spent his life savings to create, now it’s gone. People are saying they riot against racism towards blacks but they harm everyone in their way. Well, at least the protesters aren’t being racist... cause ignoring someone’s business from the wrath of the mob cause of the owners race IS TECHNICALLY racism, just “positive” racism. I guess....
Bobby The Cat i understand your suspicion, i mean who knows what that old man with the cane did before being pushed on the floor by police when the cameras werent rolling. oh but wait, they were. https://www.facebook.com/519639331/posts/10157706555994332/?d=n
Chilling Chill yea, im sure since its from facebook this 10 minute compilation of the police being violent and abusive with no means is animated and full of actors.
Necro I don’t know what your exact views are but it doesn’t matter if our views are the same or not I just wanted to say that I literally love how you used evidence to support your point because people don’t usually do that on the internet.
I think it's disrespectful that the riots have obtained such violence, that it's not about George Floyd or any victims of police brutality. People can take a cause meant for other people and make it about THEMSELVES, what THEY want to do instead of honouring George Floyd's memory. I don't think George Floyd would want this. That's why I find it disrespectful what people are rioting about, because the root of the problem was violence, yet the hypocrites are fighting against the violent with more violence.
R.I.P George Floyd BLACK LIVES MATTER “I CANT BREATHE” I live in Minnesota I instantly knew this was happening in the city’s yesterday in Rochester they had a peaceful protest not burning things down like in the city’s there riots are to much
Looks like we livin' in bikini bottom. On the side note I can't believe that an officer can commit such as sick act on a person by taking his life because he didn't like the color of someone's skin.
Crazy that this also could have been avoided if people weren’t such fucking tards, destroying your own community and local businesses like it’s gonna fix anything
@DeereMies22 how was it an accident when like you just said the man was saying he couldnt breathe and the police officer remained kneeling on George's throat ?
@Hiphyro Yeah but his death was caused by an underlying heart condition that the cop didnt know of

The death of a man is used to riot. It is sad that we have come to this. There are ways to protest this sort of unlawful behavior, ones with peaceful outcomes. It is unfortunate that a man died because of his skin, but we need to realize plenty of other people die as well because of many more unreasonable reasons. We need to shine a light to all forms of unlawfulness from the law, it doesn't matter who needs help, and we need to take these people down the right way, when you see someone in need of help from the thing that's supposed to protect you, help them, no one left behind.
literally stuff like this happens EVERY SINGLE DAY. why is everyone rioting? it happens every day. (if i don’t know anything, please feel free to enlighten me)
If it happens every day, you just answered your own question. We've had enough, and we're tired of letting police, the very people who are supposed to protect us, get away with this.
One innocent man unjustly killed by crooked cops who will most likely never see the outside of a cell again
VS
Thousands of people who's livelihoods have been threatened and lost due to the insane rioting of a bunch of ape-brained vagrants who pretend they know the first thing about protesting.
@The Key and the Gate Most likely? When has that ever been the case. Livelihood ? Shit can be replaced George Floyds life can not. Along with several other African Americans killed by police brutality. It was a peaceful protest. The police started a RIOT. Good day sir
@Grace Corrin I don't think you get it. We're talking the life of one unfortunate man who was killed by a few objectively evil people against THOUSANDS of lives of innocent men, women, and children of all creeds, ethnicities, sexualities, religions, etc. being RUINED and months, years, or even decades of their lives thrown away because a bunch of cretins thought that what they were doing somehow helped anyone. These riots help nobody. Peaceful protests and civil disobedience are entirely valid and respectable forms of protest. Breaking into homes, businesses, and stores and STEALING helps literally nobody except the sad sack of shit who made out with a new TV that they don't rightfully own. "That shit can be replaced" doesn't really cut it when said "shit" may take a further several years to rebuild.
I understand that tensions are high. People are rightfully angry. Protests should take place and people should take action. But this? This is foolish negligence on the part of anarchist busybodies who have no idea what they're doing. They don't help anyone. You aren't helping anyone by defending them. It's ridiculous and it needs to stop.
@The Key and the Gate No, trust me i get where you are coming from. But I just dont think its fair to prioritize businesses and money over a human beings life being taken by a racist police officer. ??
Its not just one person either its several African Americans who were murdered by a police officer, police brutality is REAL and its built up anger. Sure people are gonna take advantage of everything going on cause people are looking one way. But who knows that everyone who set fires and were out there looting are even part of this protest? Maybe some of them got some diapers for their baby or something not just a tv and stuff that will do them good 😂. Anyways Black lives matter
Idk fam, burning buildings and looting stuff just because a police killed a person is not a good reason to do any of that. Its like the LA riot all over again, sooner or later we'll have some Korean store owners going on their rooftops with weapons and trying their best to defend their own store.
can you make nostalgic content with old games? I’m sure a majority of us find the most nostalgic tbh I think you should cut off the “do you remember” videos and chill on the cartoons, but that’s just what I think
I agree that this incident is terrible. But I don’t think starting riots and stealing from stores is a smart thing and it definitely doesn’t respect Mr. Floyd. Just my opinion 🤷🏻♂️
Yeah I get protesting and mourning over his death but being violent, vandalizing and commiting arson isn't gonna bring him back and do you think George would want all of that to happen to people that weren't even involved
The riots are unjustified, except for the one in target. BUT, these riots are an inevitable reaction to decades of underlying problems in the system. Happy populations don’t riot and instead of focusing on condemning the few bad rioters we need to focus even more on dismantling the systems that cause people to riot
For everyone saying that business owners are crying over lost businesses and property. Think about George Floyd who was begging and crying for his life. Think about the many other black men who begged and cried for there life, think about there families? A life or a business? Which is more valuable?
@18 year old Conservative from California omg when will people learn. It's not just about George Floyd it's about every innocent black man who was a victim of police brutality. But yall obviously dont understand that so I'm going to sleep on you.
Acts of domestic terrorism aren’t the way to get people to listen to you. It gives your opponents something to blame you for. As slow as peaceful protesting is, that’s the best option.
they want law enforcement and society to stop being racist, because not all colored people are violent threats.. by being violent threats. that poor man died unlawfully and this is his protest. destruction and theft
It doesn’t take much to kill a man. Just some blunt force and a cold heart. It takes more than that to kill an idea. And the idea that one race is inferior or superior to the rest is no exception. Nothing will change.
How dare you make fun of the protesters! Some of us are good people trying to make a difference, I personally think that these young people such as myself don’t have guidance and it’s my duty to let people know that police brutality is wrong and that cops should feel what it’s like to lose a family member, a dog, etc. I’m not saying to kill their K-9s or their officers, but what I’m saying is instead of rage show emotion. Men and women should show either emotion like crying or rage (if it doesn’t involve violence) or say what you want to say and go home because remember there is a virus out there.
THE COP IS LITERALLY GETTING PRISON TIME FOR THE CRIME HE DID! JUSTICE HAS BE SERVED! IF YOU RIOT OVER SOMETHING THAT IS ALREADY DONE, YOU WILL LOOK LIKE MORE OF AN IDIOT EVER.
Anyone who stumbles upon this comment, please read carefully:
(Okay, so earlier this comment talked about how Trump's election caused all of this shit to happen. I am aware that a lot of crazy shit actually happened before 2016. Originally, when I made this comment, I made some points here that were invalid. Thankfully, I was carefully corrected by others who replied and now I plan on trying to focus on more than one topic within a current or previous event. So if you see replies here that try to correct me or criticize on what I said. They were actually replies to when this comment had invalid points and focused on a topic post-2015.)
Wrong on literally everything, but nice bait. Police systems have always been corrupt, since the days of Jim Crow. Trump had nothing to do with that. Non white races have always been treated unfairly, since this country was founded. Again, not Trump’s fault. Black people are statistically killed less per average then white people but you do not hear about that on the news. Here’s the link https://www.statista.com/statistics/585152/people-shot-to-death-by-us-police-by-race/ so next time you try baiting and use globalist tactics try to get your facts straight. There are many POC who are Trump Supporters. Oh and an additional fact, it was the Democratic Party which founded the KKK and enforced Southern segregation. I know that may blow your mind.
@Glockenspiel I knew, but it's just that It's hard for me to even think clearly about what is going on within when lots of incidents are happening. It's just hard to focus on multiple topics at the same time, but I get your point.
@Trashman Well, about that.... I was actually a bit too young to know what was going on. I was 3 1/2 - 11 when Obama was president. I started to take note of the events by age 8, 9, or 10 though. But yeah, the amount of brutality within this country even before the 2016 election was and still is actually pretty scary and saddening to lots of citizens within the nation, including me.
@1legomaster I actually know what you mean, since I also learned that unfairness happened even before this century started. To be exact, long before the previous one. Maybe I should've actually thought more efficiently before commenting something related to this. Just to let I was and still am also aware and worried that non-blacks were killed as well, but sometimes, my worry would take over to the point were my focus is on another current thing or event. No, this is not an excuse or a trolling attempt just to get away with what I said earlier, but just a reminder that I took note of the definition applied to your reply. I appreciate the precise correction to my error here.
(...hold up, the democratic party founded the kkk the whole time? well that actually made my eyes widen in shock...)

White people are killed more by Police then Black people are. There were more race problems under Obama then Trump. Take for example, Ferguson, Baltimore, Dallas, New Orleans and much more. Much of the body cams released by the Police prove they were justified shootings. Of course I won't deny Police corruption and racism, but it's not as bad as you clearly think it is.

And no, I am not a Trump voter, and I do believe the Police officer who killed George should be fired *and charged.
@Alan Grant The officer who killed George actually was fired after that. Now the former officer is arrested and charged for third-degree murder. To be honest, I actually saw this coming.
I am so surprised about how many well spoken and educated people are here in the comments of this video. Very different then what I'm seeing on twitter.

yea, because george floyd is the only man to ever be a victim of decades of police brutality and centuries of systemic racism. he served as the catalyst and the voice of the protests, but they arent exclusively about him.
I saw an Picture where the people in the protest, protected an police Officer, I also saw an Video from rioters who spoke about war.... I‘m just confused now
You should note that a huge chunk of that violence is confirmed to be undercover cops. Like, I saw the video of a dude breaking shit and you could fucking see the wire in his ear
I just read a tweet and apparently someone's cousin was run over by those cops while he was delivering a pizza to the protesters and was run down He is in the hospital
Rip George Floyd he didn’t deserve the way he was treated it was a disgusting unjust way for somebody to die I hope people understand that this can not go on anymore you need to stop hating people for the color of their skin it’s just a waste of time and just ignorance.
What happened sucks, but why solve a problem by making more problems? It’s not even hurting the government or policed it’s just screwing small businesses who have to deal with lost inventory and destroyed shops
The stuff thats happen is very bad. People in Minneapolis are being shot in their own front yards. Also ngl I kind of laughed.. SpongeBob makes me feel better
George:dead because got killed by bad cop Protester 1:so what is out target? Protester 2:we gonna block the road and burn the police station Protester 1:anybody else Protester 69:the target is TARGET
Everyone in the comment sections of the news videos are so ignorant, I've literally just seen comments saying "burn more!" or "I love watching this" I doubt any of them actually live hear, they'll be laughing until it spreads to more states.

People are really overreacting and being idiots about this. Yes, its sad, but it was the police's fault, not all of these stores faults. My guess is people are just going nuts because of the quarantine, and they have nothing better to do.
Look, if you are going to try to relate current events to a cartoon and monetize it, can you at least put places to help and donate in the description?
Because "rIoTs aRe tHe oNlY wAy tHeYLl lIsTeN" Which is the equivalent to a toddler saying 'im gonna scream in the store until mommy gets me the toy I want 😠'
they proved nothing by destroying target if a racist cop says black poeple are reckless this is just proving the racist cops point but if they want change they should do a peacfull and loud without harm outside the police station destroying a business makes the business loose money to help fix it and some people stole stuff without a face mask 😭😂
I am for the peaceful protesting but I think that when people are lighting things on fire ,and throwing flash booms that is not cool. This protest is against violence so you be even more violent. Also harming the innocent non racist cops is also not very peaceful. Some cops are racist and some are not.

But it doesn’t diminish the point
1 like@Jedd Gangman Oh yes it does
17 likesBrandon Stowe you mean like how the stonewall riots diminished the gays point? oh wait, they got their rights after that. those damn suffragette though huh? damn, hold up, those got women their rights. well, remember the riots that incited after MLK’s death and how pointless they were? oh no the civil rights act was passed right after that. slavery revolt? couldnt be, helped earn their freedom. well fuck, kinda looks like rioting has worked time and time again in the past.
8 likeshmm, not exactly how it panned out. it went more like this. https://www.facebook.com/325073484361098/posts/1416821801852922/?vh=e&d=n
2 likesNecro Do you really think it was the riots that passed the Civil Rights Bill? It takes months for anything to get passed in Congress, even longer for everyone to agree on the contents of the bill. There was literally almost a two day long fillabuster to block that bill. Let me be honest here, Malcolm X and his riots didn’t do anything for Equal Rights, that was MLK and his PEACEFUL protests, where he literally kicked out and condemned anyone who attempted violence.
8 likesAnd Women’s Suffrage protests was in NO WAY violent.
2 likesWell they have tried peacefully protesting, but often times they just hit the protesters with their police cars. And although violence might get the point across, they shouldn't burn down people's small business or start killing innocent people. (Also posting a black jpeg probably wont do anything either)

14 likesOnly small businesses are important
5 likesfannypack yeah people are dying from these riots.
5 likesThe real protesters are peaceful
3 likesThing is, the peaceful protests hasn't been working, so people don't know what else to resort to.
2 likesGeorge didn’t deserve to die
3 likestrianglecow there was also identified facebook groups sending citizens out to make protesters look violent by causing damage, a lot of people who worked at the places that got looted and burned even said it was obvious that the looters were not a part of the protests as they just came to loot and left, no protesting. the protesters were caught of film trying to stop people from looting and starting fires.
3 likestrianglecow explain why almost every city that the riots took place, there were live feeds showing that the police shot first at the peaceful protestors, inciting the riots. even saw it first hand in my own city, and dallas is streaming this very second showing that the police have trapped the protestors on a bridge and are tear gassing them.
2 likesBobby The Cat oh, police are getting plenty involved by inciting the riots and throwing in undercover agents to pop off the looting. remember what was exposed in 2014? eh, you probably dont or you wouldnt have such an uninformed opinion
2 likesNot all of the protesters are just looters, some get paid to destroy shit to make the peaceful protesters look bad.
4 likesThe burning of Target and other businesses was because they took advantage of employees by collecting checks supposed to help them, then laying off half their employees. However, they shouldn't attack smaller businesses.
2 likesyour privilege is showing, get your priorities straight. you should be saying “its horrible whats happening to property, but the killing of innocent blacks by police is making it so much worse for everyone. people are losing their lives. these “protectors” are going to brutalize the people they swore to serve and protect into the ground. :(“ you’re part of the problem for thinking the destruction of property and loss of jobs is worse than the destruction and loss of lives

8 likesCarlos Mella-Rijo you mean like cops have done since their inception?
1 likeNecro honey I never said the destruction of stores and such is worse than the loss of lives. I’m saying these people are not getting justice for George Floyd. They’re looting, setting fires, and causing more people to lose their lives. That is NOT justice. George would not have wanted that, obviously.
0 likesfannypack what you said was the equivalent to “what happened to george was bad, but the riots and looting need to stop!” versus saying “whats happening to property is bad, but the killing of innocent blacks needs to stop!” and if youre only just now becoming actively vocal about the situation because of the riots, but you stay silent and dont speak against these countless acts of police brutality when they happen, it only affirms that privilege.
1 likeNecro it’s not my ‘privilege’ showing. It’s my concern for my relatives and everyone else who lives in Minnesota. Just because I speak about one doesn’t mean I think it’s more important than the other. I want justice for George Floyd and everyone else unnecessarily killed by police. Killing more people is not justice.
2 likesfannypack its not as if blacks have been concerned for their own and their relatives lives for centuries. what have you done to support them and their movement of the past decade versus what youre doing now by deciding to use your voice for what is only the aftermath of the unspeakable damage years of systemic racism and police brutality has done? anything? or do you only decide to use your voice when the problem appears on your doorstep? remember how those many peaceful protests over the past 10 years brought no change whatsoever and just got blacks heavily criticized as being unamerican? and remember how the riots following MLK’s death urged the civil rights act to be passed? spot the difference.
1 like@Evelyn Torres The 60s had metric fucktons of violent protests

C.C Carlhead it shouldn’t matter what the business owners’ races are to begin with. 1 likeThe street that was affected by this is still destroyed in some places, a police department in the area has been shutdown for over a year now, but in some stores like a liquor shop that had been demolished by the riot, left an empty space there with only an area of grass with some benches to cover it up like a permanent, nice, and calming bandaid to reassure us that everything is okay now. And I'm glad that those riots are over.

0 likesNot saying I agree, but I see the mindset behind it.
9 likes@Unusual Comment A lot of the time just talking peacefully doesn't work you see.
1 like@Unusual Comment if people listend to the protests in the first place and heard them out and decided to try and act upon it, the riots and violence probably wouldn't be as bad as they are now. You should deliver your point in an orderly manner but also receive other people's points in an orderly manner. But the problem is, people dont want to listen to something they dont agree with.
1 likeBlaze the tepig I don’t completely agree, before the police came, they were peacefully protesting, then when they came they became a bit more angry, and then it started to be hectic. They wanted to be heard, and they believe they need to do something about it. It’s like when Rosa Parks was arrested, and then many other blacks, and some whites, rooted for it, and it eventually led to change.
1 like@DxnnyDuckz I peaceful protests do work though, martin luther king jr, rosa parks, the sit-ins, etc. when it comes to the civil rights movement, you only hear about the ones who peacefully protested because they made the most change. ive never heard of a civil rights leader who started riots.
2 likes@Ò ‸ Ó You are right, they have worked.
1 likeAlbatross 7 must be fun to be ignorant to history huh? you get to believe your own bullshit like “riots dont work.”

6 likesI wrote this in a reply but also posting it as a comment:
19 likesPeople are saying that all this damage being done is better than murder, but just because something is better than murder doesn’t mean you should keep doing it.
1 likeSome of my friends went to the protest in Seattle and I was really worried. Also the fact that people were destroying stores and businesses is a very shitty thing to do. Those people don’t even care that George Floyd was mistreated and killed. I’m really starting to lose my faith in humanity.

183 likesReplies (7)
they use it as an excuse to be criminals, while making peaceful protesters look bad
44 likeswell to be fair this has never been about George Floyd. Yes he's the current victim but it's more about the systematic police brutality. If this didn't happen a ton there wouldn't be protests.
3 likestrianglecow I mean neither does peaceful protest, almost every BLM protest has been equated to unjust, unneeded, or just outright ignored. And you can't say rioting does nothing either, a police man got charged in 4 days of a crime, that's literally a record time to prosecute a P.O
0 likestrianglecow to be fair you need to have a very high iq to understand why people would burn small businesses for no reason other than looting them and lying about your goal it takes a very smart person to realize that if one guy in a certain group is racist that mean all of them racist
1 like@Dane StambaughGood, they got one person charged in 4 days.
0 likes@doogus that's the thing though, you're going off the good graces of an already angry demographic that feels wrongly treated, how long does one go off these good graces? Doesn't really matter though, the reality is riots like this are great in the eyes of democrats who will use the loss of business and price of property damage to keep black Americans in inner cities and keep their votes in their pockets, and repubs will use it to perpetuate thug stereotypes amongst democrats or POC. The sad reality is its all based on political gain no matter what does or doesn't happen
0 likesoh it aint? you mean like how the post mlk death riots didnt get the civil rights act passed 6 days later? oh wait they did. maybe youre talking about how the stonewall riots didnt give gays rights, oh shit, they did. perhaps youre talking about the suffragettes who rioted for women’s rights and failed. wait, fuck, those worked too. the slave revolts maybe? oh nah, those helped them earn freedom. well fuck, its kinda looking like riots have worked again and again throughout history

21 likesKami no hakai they are ruining people’s life’s work, but I guess that’s not important, only stopping police brutality does. Seriously. What the cop did was atrocious and inhumaine, but it’s not your job to make justice. There are judges for that. And anyways, the rioters have no valid reason because:
19 likes1) nothing indicates that George was killed because of his skin color
2) the cop was arrested very quickly compared to other arrests in this state
So justice will be served.
@ObihugzenobiToo be fair, how can you prove if it is a racial issue or not without the officer saying or it being obvious (and I dont think any police officer would just straight up announce that it was because of his race ). personally i believe ACAB bc even if theyre good theyre still working for a bastard organization that lets many police officers who commit crimes go free with no issue whatsoever, BUT i do agree that this rioting bullshit is just making everyone on every side look bad.
15 likesThe entire situation Is a full fucking Greek Tragedy.
18 likesThen why are they beating up, cursing out, and running over actual protesters, macing literal children from an unsafe distance, and pushing protesters on to the ground when they get close to them?
11 likes@ConstantArtBlock They give warnings to people, the protesters didn't listen so they have to act with force. As for the child, well that's the parents who brought them there. And when you get closed in by a group of angry protesters, who wouldn't lash out?

3 likes“most cops are good” is like an airline saying “most our pilots land but the others like crashing into mountains, please bare with us.” see how in some jobs you cant even afford a “few” bad ones?
5 likesUnacknowledged your very first sentence explains what the black community faces in front of police brutality and profiling every day, yet you use your voice to speak against the destruction of property. if you’re white, your privilege is showing, if you’re not, you sure are speaking the language.
3 likesYou sound white. Check your privilege
3 likesIf the supposed “good cops” don’t report the bad cops for abusing their power, they are no longer “good cops”. And when an actual good cop does report them, they will be fired for snitching on a fellow officer
0 likes@Zeta Lufargo aka N3K0M1M1 An elderly man with a cane was pushed down. Look into this more with more research.
1 like@ooziTheSage It's not about which side is good.
4 likeshey just wanna point out that protestors don't condone the actions of rioters. like... the Black Lives Matter stuff isn't meant to be *anarchy*, this protest isnt about burning down businesses and shit. people take advantage of the anger and frustration and use that for just cause to stir some shit. the actual protestors are going in the streets, making noise, blocking streets, all the normal protesting things; just on a large scale.
2 likestrust me, when you think about this topic, know that the rioting and destruction isn't claimed by most people who actually want justice rn. it's kind of just a massive side effect. but on top of that, we shouldn't be more worried about property damage than we are about police brutality and a corrupt system, like... this isn't just about George Floyd, either, it's about years and years of people getting killed and mistreated just like Floyd.
Justice is removing a bad problem you guys are making a bigger problem

1 likeGeorge Floyd shouldn’t have died. I saw the whole video and it was genuinely revolting. That cop should definitely be behind bars.
253 likesWith that being said, the rioting is sad and pathetic. You don’t use the death of a man to start looting businesses that had nothing to do with the situation.

The fact that they claim to do this in Floyd's memory, when in reality they want a Playstation, is disrespectful.
15 likesFrost Rusher everyone hates them because cops are notorious for getting away with god awful shit. of course there are good people, but theyre still working for a bastard organization. a LARGE majority of cops are domestic abusers, i can recall several cases where cops murdered/r*ped innocent people and got away scot-free. theres a reason everyone hates them, its not because their jobs are shitty, it's because a huge majority of them are shitty people.
10 likesItsPsycho ✓ cant change your mind eh? maybe history can. stonewall riots, suffragettes, post MLK death riots, slave revolts. what do these all have in common? oh yea, they all worked. should also bring to your attention that police are inciting the violence. https://www.facebook.com/325073484361098/posts/1416821801852922/?vh=e&d=n

3 likesCop is being charged. Everyone is blaming systemic racism for the killing but the cop had a record of complaints and it was unions that kept him on the job. Also him and Floyd knew each other. They worked at a nightclub. Who knows what kind of beef was between them. It doesn’t always have to be about race
2 likesÒ ‸ Ó there are cases where cops used deadly force against criminals in the past.
2 likesPontiac Maniac blows my mind how you can say something sounds made up without doing a minute of research.

0 likesGeorge Floyd died tragically. He didn't deserve this.
11 likesBut the entire state of Minnesota didn't deserve to be burned down in a riot just because some people couldn't keep their temper. Floyd wouldn't have wanted this. Nobody would've. If you think rioting will help the situation, you're wrong.
Replies (5)
0 likesi wouldn’t say the entire state got burned down. i live about 45 minutes from minneapolis and saint paul and there are no protests / riots here, nor is anything destroyed where i live.

People are saying they riot against racism towards blacks but they harm everyone in their way.

1 likeThe death of a man is used to riot.

@The Key and the Gate Most likely? When has that ever been the case. Livelihood ? Shit can be replaced George Floyds life can not. Along with several other African Americans killed by police brutality. It was a peaceful protest. The police started a RIOT. Good day sir
1 like@Grace Corrin
1 likeI don't think you get it.
0 likesIts not just one person either its several African Americans who were murdered by a police officer, police brutality is REAL and its built up anger. Sure people are gonna take advantage of everything going on cause people are looking one way. But who knows that everyone who set fires and were out there looting are even part of this protest? Maybe some of them got some diapers for their baby or something not just a tv and stuff that will do them good 😂. Anyways Black lives matter
0 likesAh yes, let's loot stores and cause massive fires.
1 likeBecause that's what Floyd would've wanted. For everyone to get a new flat screen tv.
Idk fam, burning buildings and looting stuff just because a police killed a person is not a good reason to do any of that. Its like the LA riot all over again, sooner or later we'll have some Korean store owners going on their rooftops with weapons and trying their best to defend their own store.

0 likesYeah I get protesting and mourning over his death but being violent, vandalizing and commiting arson isn't gonna bring him back and do you think George would want all of that to happen to people that weren't even involved
0 likesThis happened two blocks away from my house!
1 likeThe riots are unjustified, except for the one in target. BUT, these riots are an inevitable reaction to decades of underlying problems in the system. 1 likeI understand the protesters motivation but rioting, causing mayhem, and chaos is just making it worst.

People’s issues with the police started long before trump was elected.
4 likesYou’re forgetting all the black men killed by police during the Obama administration.
2 likesWrong on literally everything, but nice bait.
2 likes@Glockenspiel I knew, but it's just that It's hard for me to even think clearly about what is going on within when lots of incidents are happening. It's just hard to focus on multiple topics at the same time, but I get your point.
0 likes@Trashman Well, about that....
0 likesI was actually a bit too young to know what was going on.
0 likes(...hold up, the democratic party founded the kkk the whole time? well that actually made my eyes widen in shock...)White people are killed more by Police then Black people are.
1 likeAnd no, I am not a Trump voter, and I do believe the Police officer who killed George should be fired *and charged.

I noticed, but I like that he doesn't have a username cause it makes him mysterious
0 likesEveryone in the comment sections of the news videos are so ignorant, I've literally just seen comments saying "burn more!" or "I love watching this" I doubt any of them actually live hear, they'll be laughing until it spreads to more states.

Apparently, the arsonists were not protesters but just people wanting to stir the pot
0 likesdude thats today wtf

Noooo weally :3 lol
0 likesPeople are really overreacting and being idiots about this. Yes, its sad, but it was the police's fault, not all of these stores faults. My guess is people are just going nuts because of the quarantine, and they have nothing better to do.

2 months later and look at this 👍 aren't we a great, peaceful civilization that MLK would love?
0 likesGeorge would have wanted Peaceful protests. Not this. Definitely not this.
0 likesSomethings wrong today
0 likesJust because one cop made a fatal mistake doesn't mean you need to burn down a city.
1 likeReplies (1)
Mistake? There was a cop guarding the other cop kneeling on George's windpipe, and you're gonna call that an accident?
0 likesMLK didn't do all those peaceful protests for this
1 likeProtesting could’ve made things better quicker, it would have gave light and just to his death
2 likesDestruction of property only makes you stoop down to the level of the cops that killed him
So honestly stop trying to destroy things to think that’s going to do something good , because it really won’t
Help I’m in Prior lake aaaHHhhHhh

0 likesOh how naïve and foolish we all were going into 2020
0 likessure it was wrong for the officer to do that, but it has nothing to do with race or traits. and rioting isn't going to help with this.

0 likesthey proved nothing by destroying target if a racist cop says black poeple are reckless this is just proving the racist cops point but if they want change they should do a peacfull and loud without harm outside the police station destroying a business makes the business loose money to help fix it and some people stole stuff without a face mask 😭😂
0 likesIts really sad to see someone get killed by a racist but I don't think its worth destroying the city and having a black Friday at target :(

0 likesI am for the peaceful protesting but I think that when people are lighting things on fire ,and throwing flash booms that is not cool. This protest is against violence so you be even more violent. Also harming the innocent non racist cops is also not very peaceful. Some cops are racist and some are not.
