i think i'm falling in love with dodie's personality again and it's amazing... i love the basic editing and truthful reality dodie's videos always bring- makes dodie feel so real and genuine and relatable which is like the entire point in watching youtube…
i think i've been avoiding youtube bc of all the fake stuff and unrealistic expectations being set on here (nothing about dodie's content, this is just generally other channels) and i'm finally remembering why i love dodie…

For the Sweet Caroline thing: At Fenway Park in the middle of the 8th inning, Sweet Caroline is played. Everyone at the game will sing "BA BA BA" and "SO GOOD! SO GOOD!" really loudly as a part of the song, like a tradition. So when you play Sweet Caroline around people from Massachusetts, we will automatically sing the additional part. Hope this helps anybody confused!

P.S. - If you search up "Sweet Caroline Fenway Park" on YouTube, you can find many videos. I can assure you though, it is much louder in real life

I love everything about Dodie. She's so down to earth and open about herself and she's inspired me to be more open and down to earth as well. And ofc she's absolutely adorable, on and off of camera. Her voice has the ability to be strong and confident but also whimsical and gorgeous. I feel like shes my internet older sister and I take so much inspiration from her. Shes such an incredible human and I relate to her on so many levels, her videos have helped me so much on so many different occasions. My highs:
I did quite well in open mic, which made me feel happy.
I also calmed myself down and sorted out my thoughts while walking through Green Park.
I met a nice woman on the street who said she liked my outfit.
My girlfriend sent me an adorable video of her when she was a baby.
I've just had a GREAT nap.

My lows:
Having an argument with my dad in the car.
Stressing out over homework and not doing Duke of Edinburgh.
Finding out I can't go to that music festival tomorrow because I have no adult to go with.
Embarrassing myself by asking people I barely know if I can go with them because they have an adult supervising them.
Having another argument with my dad after I got back from Starbucks.
Impulsively going to Starbucks for the second day in a row and spending money I was going to save.
Just eating really badly in general, having loads of comfort food snacks instead of proper meals, which made me feel like I've let myself down.

Kudos to:
My mum for bringing me nachos, even though it added to my mountain of unhealthy shit food.
My girlfriend who is just amazing in general.
The guy that runs the open mic for letting me do so many songs and encouraging me.
That woman I met at Mayfair.

READ THIS COMMENT IF YOU'RE SEEING DODIE and want a tip!
my biggest tip to live in the moment. if you have an iphone record the entire performance through the "voice memos" app. don't take pictures through the photos app, cause then it pauses the audio recording. i would recommend recording small videos of every song through instagram and taking lots of photos through instagram (you know the story option)
have funnnnn! recording the entire thing through voice memos made it a lot more enjoyable during SitC

I have so much respect and just like genuine love towards dodie, she’s one of the only YouTubers who talks about mental illnesses and what she’s going through, her book made me cry because I relate to it so much. She is so talented and genuine and watching her videos just like makes me calm

This reminds me of the time I was working at a youth camp as a camp instructor and at the end of the day we would sit in a large circle and take turns telling each other about the day we'd had. It was such a nice end to the day and made everyone feel so calm. 5/5

I went to see dodie last night and it was an amazing experience. I went there without friends because tickets sold out so fast so I had to go with my grandma who lives in the area. I absolutely adore my gram but it’s not the same as being with friends yk. So anyways, it was towards the end of an amazing set by Tessa (damn by the way! Haze made me weep and crush is such a bop) I was singing along to crush and I turn around and start singing with the girl behind me and we talked in between Tessa and dodie and quickly became friends. The music and the experience (and don’t forget dodie grabbing someone’s bi flag during in the middle) were both amazing but the warm environment is what made the night. So Sophie and lily if you’re out there, thanks!

Is that acne or mosquito bites? If bites, wet some baking soda with water so it'll stick and put that on them, and they'll go down in size after an hour or so. It's a bit messy, but totally works. (I have no idea if it'd work on acne, as I just don't get acne at my age, but I guess you could try it either way and see.) I hope this helps! :)

Right in my city.. she’s my favorite artist and YouTuber and I desperately want to go... but. There’s always a but. My anxiety has come to such a high level that I can’t handle being in large crowds or and surrounded by loud noises. So I tend to not be fond of concerts. .. and when my anxiety acts up I tend to be overly aware of how fake everything feels.
