The second time is the killer. The first run through, I kept thinking that it was all going to get better. And after I accepted it, I just felt numb.
The second time, though... Tears all over the place. For quite a while.
You wont regret it. not only is it awesome and very well written, its comedic at some points and serious at others, both very well done. and the amount of references in it is astounding, i counted 10+ and i'm not even done.
the first chapter could be like this, "in every failure there is achivement, in every defeat there is victory, in darkness there is light, these are the things that make a great pony a pony, who will risk her life for you, a pony who will be willing to give her last bit of food to you this pony's name is....little pip. i am steel hooves, and this is my story........
FOE was an amazing fic, and fucking long one too. It took me a week to read it in it's entirety, from start to finish, only taking breaks to sleep and go to work. And I was lucky enough to start reading it right as the last chapters got added so I didn't have to wait for them.
I thought this was a fantastic track. It reminds me of the work done by "Two Steps From Hell" if you're familiar with them. I'd like your permission to include it as part of the radio station lineup in my upcoming FO:NV mod, "Gardens of Equestria," please. You'll get all credit of course. (Heck, I'd love to have ALL of your work included!)
Great music. But I always imagined Steelhoove's theme being slower, very militaristic and heavy. Maybe even melancholy. Though, when hear this music I can picture him fighting to it.
I have recently read about his demise, I was upset, I couldn't even sleep well. I'm very related to Steelhooves, he is my favorite in fallout alongside with Red Eye
@Savci008 I personally wanted to illustrate Steelhooves' power of will and strength yet at the same time he is very (human) pony. The only other purpose I can see this song playing is maybe an intro theme.
@psychgoth Are you going to be doing any music scores for the Fallout Equestria mod? Will they use any of your pieces here or are they asking you to compose anything for them? Just curious.
@KXAbeta Oh it will but trust me, if I am willing to spend 5+ hours for each piece of Fallout Equestria music I write then you can spend 30 mins on a chapter. It is so worth it.
@psychgoth I can believe that. I only bought Fallout 3 so I could kill some Steel Rangers myself. It was the first time in my life that I was disappointed to learn that the guys in powered armor were on my side.
@MaconMixx You'll still find enjoyment from reading Fallout Equestria, however, you'll enjoy it more if you play the fallout games, or at least read up on the fallout universe. As far as side stories go, I have no clue.
@DrDissonance1 Well perhaps you can send me a list of which scenes you've already done so that I can maybe work on those you haven't...unless I really really wanna do some previously done scenes too x3
@skidleydoo *"ARE the words GREATEST THING EVER"* x3 Can you believe I've never played Fallout before? ^^; I got in on it purely by word of mouth and ponies.
