Everyone has one (1991) This is a band that appeared in the early 90s, but which I discovered only recently. I have not been able to gather much information about NOISY MAMA. All I know is that it’s an American quintet that, at first glance, has only released one album (if anyone knows more about this combination, don’t hesitate to appear). It was released by Atco in 1991. With this record, things are clear: 10 songs are present and we’re dealing with Hard Rock blues pretty directly. This combination does not differ in its originality, but in its tendency to go into the basics without question.
The first song “Heart Of Stone” brings nothing new to the music genre in question, but at least it has the merit of keeping the road and enjoying listening. Better yet, a small retro-look break planted just before the solo, makes the title a little more significant. “Dirty Love,” the next song, is a pretty plain mid-tempo that makes you feel like you’ve heard from 50 bigger bands. The album really only takes off from "Dirty Dogs", a playful song set in the third position that we notice thanks to the noisy chorus and damn well lit. Daddy Long Legs ”which emphasizes both the bluesy and rock n’ Roll aspect of the band and wouldn’t be out of place on the opus of FASTER PUSSYCAT or AEROSMITH 70s (very cool, accordion parts!), “Little Brown South” and his festive tunes, or more between titles like “Eyes On The Prize” and the hard-hit “Dave’s Brain.” As on many Hard us albums, there’s a ballad on Everybody Has One. This is “Million Miles,” a pretty nice bluesy acoustic ballad, but one regrets the short duration and the fact that it didn’t work hard enough: it would certainly gain efficiency and depth. On the other hand, the mid-tempo “Long Way Home” is a batard title halfway between ballads and Rock and there’s a little hole in her mouth so she lacks relief. Conclusion: NOISY MOM doesn’t bring much to the new Bluesy Hard Rock, but it is nonetheless from her escarcelle released some good songs that should satisfy you if you love GREAT WHITE, AC / DC, DIRTY LOOKS and ASPHALT BALET, especially since singer Paul Skowron sometimes has garish intonations going in that direction. Everybody Has One isn’t the best album of its kind, but it still allows it to be listened to from time to time. I don’t know what the band’s musicians became after that, but this record is a reminder that NOISY MAMA was part of the Hard US (bluesy trend) landscape in the early ’90s.
