beefsatay834271 I don't understand Estonian but for me the fact songs are in different languages is part of Eurovision's appeal, I like seeing music from different cultures. Despite not knowing the language, this song stood out for me straight away. It's such a meaningful song, I didn't have to know the language to appreciate the message behind the song. And because I liked the song I looked for a translation of the lyrics. So I think a song can be very powerful even in a foreign language.

but as what I can see wining the contest are either native language song that is so self explanatory in a elegant way (this song is elegant but not as self explanatory to foreigners as what those people are concerning) or Crappy English song sang by a beautiful, mind grabbing and or powerful voice that stunned everyone
Here is the sad reason why Estonia didn't win. The song was in Estonian, spoken only in Estonia. No one could understand the message. Denmark's sappy, overused humanitarian approach in English secured them the win, because more people could understand. If Estonia sent "New Way to Go" instead of "Et uus saaks alguse" ("New Way" is the English version) they could have won.
