I liked Chrysalis too. I was a bit disappointed with how she was written. I feel like there was so much potential for an incredible villain that was wasted. So I guess it's up to the fandom to full in the gaps in her story

I think this has to be my favorite This Day Aria/Chrysalis tribute I've found yet.

Hearing this song, I can invision a tour through a dark, swampy, changeling city, illuminated by countless fluorescent fungi everywhere. A massive, twisted tree-like structure at the kingdom's heart serving as an icon of Chrysalis' rule, but belaying a cavernous abyss as the true palace and kingdom. All that has her majesty, sitting upon a twisted throne in it's deepest chamber, awaiting your gift of admiration and love. beautiful song overall

It may be the warmup, some people judge a song based on the first couple moments after it begins. Also first time hearing this... it's amazing. Nicely done.

I had no idea so many people and/or bronies knew about Herr Mannelig <3 I feel all warm n' fuzzy inside.

Heard this song, was disappointed it slowed so soon after picking up at 1:54. Caught it again the next day, decided, "Okay, worth downloading." Days later, I am positively addicted to this track. It's really great. :)

I know this song is already longer then normal.... But it needs to be longer, I find myself listening to this song on loop. And the stuttering of the vocals adds to the eire feeling to the song, favorite remix so far of This Day Aria. Even with the lower birate, the song is still awesome, you can't notice it, one of my favorite songs from the show so far.

I was listening to this on the way home and when Herr Mannelig started I squeed. Such a beautiful and sad little song that matches up so well with Chrysalis in a way.

I was listening to the beginning, and expecting the bass drop and descending into heavy metal, but I was sure going to enjoy it up to that point. Then, guess what? NO SCREECHING GUITARS! It's beautiful through and through, and really represents the personality of the character. Since then, I keep coming back to it xD. I don't think I've found another piece that represents a character quite so well as this.

I really dig the atmosphere this song sets up. Its slow at first, but feels like an old royal piano, then at the 38 second mark it really picks up and gets something of a terminator feel to it, dropping into some x-files feel. This is definitely a badass song for eerie and unsettling events and situations.

Ah, but in this song I actually made my own bass patch on Massive instead of using a Nexus preset. I also used a Nyckelharpa, recorder, hurdy gurdy, and rauschpfeife/shawm. The other had: flute, bagpipes, clarsach, and cello. And not nearly as much sidechaining/ gating. ^.^

The entire time I was listening to this, all I could imagine was walking through some kind of huge, dark, destroyed scientific facility, with a catastrophically damaged Chrysalis AI saying the lyrics over the intercom as I progressed. Sort of like the abandoned sections of Aperture Science except more grim, and GLADoS exponentially more damaged.

If mlp fim were ever to end... The perfect ending imo that would stay in my mind always would be chrysalis returning and taking Equestria for the changelings. C'mon now, it can't all end happily... and depending on who you are that would be a happy ending... it would be for me.

The use of the voice is great! I really like this. :D

I harmonized Cadence's voice in fifths to sound creepy like Chrysalis. Problem is the fifths beneath them didn't work in those places. So I covered them up with the stutter effect. Thanks!

It's the intro, the intro is just good. Then when the real shit drops at around 40 seconds; shit gets real. The 3 souls whom disliked clearly didn't give it more then 40 seconds.

Fillystata was good - even though a little bit TOO Lovecraftian. Mare in The Mirror (sequel, by the same author) was excellent as far as I read it, and more original.

Hurdy Gurdy? That's what it sounds like kinda. I approve! It's got a nice buzzy sound that really fits with changelings nicely. Well, there's also a hint of a shawm or a middle eastern mijwiz if I'm not mistaken. And of course the pipes. Gotta love a good drone!

Personally, I would have liked to hear the Reprise's lyrics in this rather than the Aria's lyrics, but that's just me. I still like this quite a bit. I just think Chrysalis' more metallic Reprise lyrics would have been the last perfect touch of creepyness.

Pretty much all the villains so far have been forgiven, save for the Crystal King, Discord, Chrysalis (obviously), and the some of the lesser evils like the Diamond Dogs, the Dragons, the Hydra, etc. My point being, many of the 1-time villains should, logically, still have a few comebacks waiting. But I really would like to see more of Chrysalis, though.

I can't tell if these are new vocals, or someone else singing. If it is the original vocal, did you need higher quality samples, because I can help with that. Either way, it sounds like they have a low sampling rate as the scratchiness is really irksome. Other than that though, it's a GREAT remix.

I have to agree that she isn't COMPLETELY evil. She did have to help her people survive. I think the only reason she appears evil is because other ponies regarded her a freak because she was a changeling and singled her out. Then she faced back and seemed to be "evil" because she had been mistreated and her "heart-strings shall we call them" became twisted. In mid-evil times "changelings" were often thought to be different and were sometimes even killed. I personally feel sympathy for her.
