I haven't really gotten into anything from ponies except for ponies themselves. I don't really enjoy Homestuck and I've neglected to try Doctor Who so far. Touhou.. I got into that when I saw the extreme fanbase, just as I did for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I mean, fans of Touhou.. jeez, there are so many epic animations and tributes and musical remixes that you'd wonder how they all got so much time on their hands.
I was experiencing the same issue. Assuming that you have a Google+ account, go to Google+'s home page, click on a little gear near the upper right hand corner, click account settings, and delete all Google+ content from your account. It's worked fine for me ever since, but if you don't have a Google+ account, then I'm afraid I don't know what went wrong. :c
I still sometimes listen to this one. my fave Nuclear Syndrome cover to date.
