I held out for another year before I finally gave in thanks to an online friend of mine playing Pinkie's Welcome song in a forum we were a part of and the song got stuck in my head for weeks. I asked her if the show was actually good and she said yes lol.

And being the curious guy I am I gave it a shot. It really impressed me somewhere in season 2 I think. Season 4 and 5 solidified it though.
