@Jake Jerrison you accessed it and executed it right? So chances are if there is a virus, it could corrupt the bootloader if not the internal hdd (and steal your data) Also downloaded files(eg movies) could hold embedded scripts to track you outside tor(not tails)
Why can’t we download files? Tails automatically deletes everything upon reboot, so what does it matter?

No privacy now : few months ago facebook team hacked in trails and used ZERO day exploit to catch a hacker .
