I could see Sombra's theme being a more heavy aggressive symphonic metal song. Something with a Gothic vibe that challenges the listener psychologically. Something "Psych-Goth" so to speak.
I think I can get more passion out of the "I'm a God amongst men" angle though. It fits with the whole "megalomaniacal King of Darkness" thing he had going.
Gotcha. Also just noticed that that is the exact same transition I make whenever I sing along with Lullaby for a Princess. The "carry you softly to sleeeeep~" line carries on that Bb2 as well, but I've always felt like the octave drop was appropriate. XD
Other than the fact you can use Google, I'll tell you from experience. Typically for males, there are normally 4 vocal ranges in choral songs (i.e. 4-part harmony) more or less split from the highest note to the lowest note, or rather, treble to bass in the clefs if you've looked at sheet music. Tenor 1 for highest range in the treble range, Tenor 2 for lower treble, Baritone for upper bass, and Bass for the lowest ranges. There are other names for special ranges, but that's the gist of it.
Not sure you quite hit that last note, but it's still deeper than I can go. Which is a real treat for me, because it's incredibly uncommon for me to find a song with vocals too deep for me. Bump the last note up about a third and I can sing it with no problem.
I can see the regal and dramatic thing. I think it would fit with his pompousness. Maybe some dark techno, or melodic dubstep? Oh and maybe some more choir work like there was in Spellcaster. That would sound awesome!
Would you have me sound like a tenor? The voice that heralds the misfortune of all musically gifted men with deep voices? Although this is a poor example, a deep voice is often synonymous with authority, stability, and leadership. All the qualities a king should have. This is also why most kings and roles of authority are voiced by basses in opera.
Give it a little Ambient Black Metal sound. That's what the Sombra in the show missed the most. The genuine creepiness. In my headcannon he tapped into the malicious forces that granted him the power he possessed.
A bit more dramatic? Because when you do that you can switch more between low and high (less low). Makes the song maybe a bit easier (not that I'm an expert). Maybe an electric guitar would do good in the idea of after a fight and the dramatic effect. :)
Anywhere else, you're a lucky dude. Tenors have all the good roles in opera and they're the standard in contemporary music as well.
However the role of villain is best played by us darker voiced fellows c:
Riding that falling gargoyle right into the sea of fire :P
*B* 1. I tried plunking it out on my keyboard, but couldn't quite place it; probably due to the vocal fry. Heh.
But yeah, I definitely feel that if any character from the show outta be sung by a bass, it's Sombra. Though I'm sure baritones could pull it off just fine as well, assuming they're more attuned to their lower register (I'm a baritone, but my music teacher from college told me I don't really hit low notes the way she'd expect a baritone to).
A male(usually) singer with a high tessitura. All you need is to look at any opera and I bet you the lead role will be a tenor. Pavarotti is the most famous tenor, surely you've heard of his name at least.
And really, how old are you? I can't discern if you're a very young kid or someone who has little idea of the goings-on outside his/her home.
I think you should do something with a more tragic bent. Showing a downward spiral from noble leader to insane dictator. That door was the real villain in the episode, think about it. Tommy Oliver talks about it in one of his videos.

0 likesWorking on covering that song too <3 I also like to drop the Bb from 2 to 1 lol.

0 likesFUCKING LOVE IT. I love these neo-classical songs with organs and harpsichords. Please make this song
0 likesPretty good, though Sombra could definitely be a lot clearer.

0 likesWell that B1 is kinda vocal fried (very few men can sing it clean) and I know a true bass would be able to control it better.

0 likesI'm a tenor, I don't think I could sing this very well.
0 likesI'd love to, but I can't sing that low for that long. In fact, yesterday was just a really good "low" day lol.

0 likesBut the villains are always the coolest...:P "Like fire Hellfire This fire in my skin This burning Desire Is turning me to sin "
0 likeswell the note falls apart really, it starts on Bb and goes sharp because I couldn't control it that well.

0 likesPretty solid piece
0 likesneed to be more evil, less exciting, good voice, but maybe a lil deeper
0 likesI appreciate the compliment, but my industrial work is closely guarded lol.
0 likes> Baritone vocals > Down to an A1 wat
1 likesounds promising.
0 likesDO IT! DO IT NOW!
0 likesLol yeah, I pulled away from the mic at the end of words on reflex. Lesson learned though.
0 likesI think it was the low note. XD
0 likesMaybe about his conquer and his falling
0 likesThis song needs more hatred and frustration. No? : c

0 likesOh you. <3
0 likesAny idea that starts out with the words 'King' and 'Sombra' are bad ones.
0 likesHmm, but I really don't like black metal that much, and I'm shooting for something regal and dramatic.
0 likesNo, why?
