I can't believe this needs to be addressed. It's just common sense, people! Adults play with adults. Children shouldn't even be listening to this stuff!
This is actually something I've thought about a lot. I turned 18 recently, and while it does in fact feel like nothing has changed because I'm still the same person I've been this whole time, I'm already learning to check IDs before interacting with ppl because I've heard the horror stories. I'm not tryna catch a case two seconds into my adulthood
I’m right there with ya, Boss Lady! It’s a serious problem with far-reaching consequences that many, many people have been ignoring for too long. Here’s hoping your speaking out about it will put a dent in it.
much love for speaking about this topic, makes me glad to know that this problem is being covered, taken care of, and put into the front row of attention by creators
Those people are devils walking among the people, and it is a problem that will never go away. I understand that I can’t change the problem on my own, that this why putting more attention on this problem is never a bad thing. Thank you
To ruin a quote: we live in a society, where a kid can do lots of things that adults do, nobody bats an eye, but when a kid does something only adults should do, all the adults lose their minds! Yes, there are limitations to being a minor, literally all of us can attest to that, we were all minors once. Yes, being an adult has perks and downsides that can only be applied to adults. Yes, there is stuff that kids sneak into that they shouldn't! Do all the right people to fix this kind of problem actually do anything to fix this? No... Laziness or greed, pick your poison. Kids these days (I say that like I wasn't one a year or two ago) get into all sorts of trouble because growing up is once weird process, and it destroys their idea of right and wrong and clouds their judgement, I like to call it "I'm a grown-up overclocking" syndrome, I'm not all that good a person because of it, I let it get the better of me. This content isn't for children, or teens, especially those of 16 or 17 years of age who are on the verge of legal age and they might or might not understand that, and regardless of understanding, try to engage in this kind of content, which really gets, mmm... Ah, everybody... Into a lot of trouble. So, your paywall is a good idea for all this kind of content and your alignment with safety standards for younger audiences is of benefit to all of us. Thank you for all of your wonderful efforts! Daily good vibes point and two premium good vibes points spent!
Definitely agree with you on everything. The law is very serious and honestly, it's really damn weird when a minor is sexually interacting with adults... It's also even worse when an adult is engaging with minors in any sexual way... I understand you and why you would want to talk about this given your work
i understand where your coming from and yes adults and teens do this stupid shit and it is a bit of a problem and everyone has they're own thing but as you said they need to wait until they're old enough and find someone like them
I Agree with ya Just be glad you don't use twitch yikes. And yes im in my late 20s so don't worry. I'm no stranger to bad luck I've been in that situation before where pepole spent my bank dry on random stuff I never bought I know the feeling story of my life in a way. Best advice I can give is to hang in there that's really all you can do at this point.
I can tell by tone alone that this is really bothering you. Hope it felt good to get your voice out and the weight off your chest. Fingers crossed things start to go better for you too.
Don't really have anything to add to what you said, Internet is not the Care Bears' world, so it's necessary to repeat this kind of warning again and again. As for your health problems, rest well and take good care of yourself, health is the more important thing. 🙂
One issue people don't often mention is where the fuck are parents? Like they give zero shits about what their kid gets up to online leading to them potentially getting groomed or accessing nsfw content.
🎭The Jester has not ventured into this realm of discussion, hence was not even aware of the issue. But respects your need to speak out. May it make a difference.
Unpopular opinion time, but I don’t feel the same. I hate seeing people put sexual content on a pedestal like this. Some magic number being the priority here feels sleazy and completely disregards the extremely complex and individualized problem of sexual maturity. I’ve seen firsthand what happens with this prudish glorifying attitude about sexual interaction - you grow up, hearing all these great things about having sex and how great it feels and how it’s the cool thing to do, nobody old enough talks to you about the important consequences and risks because they “aren’t old enough to understand”, they go around doing it with everyone they can the moment they turn eighteen, and have a kid before they’re even old enough to legally drink (which is just as much of a problem for the same reasons). Being responsible enough to experience explicit sexual interaction doesn’t and shouldn’t revolve around an arbitrary number, and acting like reaching a specific date for how long you’ve lived just encourages irresponsible extravagance the second they hit that mark. Considering how much explicit content in the ASMR community is premium as well, I’d argue that it’s extremely manipulative to make content of that nature, lock it behind a paywall or subscription, and have a bunch of young people who just turned of age coming in and throwing money at a whole slew of different people out of the sheer desperation of having to wait so long to finally experience it whilst being constantly taunted by it, knowing it’s a horrible financial decision on their part that was made purely because they were never given any advice to sudden complete control over an extremely complicated part of their lives. Putting this kind of pressure on vulnerable teens is obviously cruel when given any thought, and yet deemed totally acceptable, if not encouraged. I know that it’s mostly a societal problem, but compounding it isn’t going to fix anything or help anyone out of making bad choices.
People are probably gonna say I’m a monster or something, but I don’t care. I just can’t stand seeing this kind of attitude when all it does is end up causing kids and teens to make life changing decisions on a whim before they can properly feel around and reach a proper understanding because they’re still in that teenage power trip mindset. The constant teasing of this whole deal about sexual interaction but making an arbitrary and baseless age limit the only requirement just feels malicious after what’s happened to so many misguided teenagers who just wanted to see what the whole deal was about. Western society puts anything sexual on such a huge pedestal that everyone becomes almost mindless when it comes to having sex. It’s the same reason people in the west are so aggressive about it. You hear all these stories and see all the media that makes sex seem like it’s great, and everybody acts like it’s this amazing thing that you need to do, and it makes people feel inadequate for not doing it yet. Being called a virgin is still a common insult, so that should speak for itself. The prudish attitude about young people having sex is the entire reason young people having sex is such a problem. I’d much rather have someone in their early teens listening to pornographic audio recordings and normalizing it for themselves than forcing them to wait until the “proper” age and watch them ruin their lives after trying too hard to have sex like all their college buddies and either have children they can’t properly raise without sacrificing everything they have or get arrested for trying so hard they break the rules of common human decency (both of which I have witnessed firsthand).
I’m a desperate person. I admit that. But the only reason I haven’t done anything illegal in my time was because I was able to satisfy my urges anonymously with explicit internet content. I broke the illusion long before I became old enough, and I was all the better for it. I was able to decide what I liked, see things for what they were, and get it out of my system. I didn’t care about the pressure of being a virgin because I wouldn’t gain anything after doing it. I’m perfectly fine with my own sexual urges and I never went through the phase of sleeping with people every weekend after getting blackout drunk because I didn’t have a reason to care. I had the occasional taste of alcohol when I was young and I had already been watching pornographic material for years, so when everyone my age started partying and making horrible decisions, I was able to confidently say that I knew it wasn’t worth it - no thanks to the prudes who wouldn’t teach me anything. It was the only thing that kept me from going out and doing things I would regret. I’m a very easily persuaded and emotionally vulnerable person, so had I not learned to teach myself these things, I’d have never been able to keep myself safe. “Protecting”people by making them vulnerable is just harmful to the people you want to protect. I think that forcing that kind of attitude on people is only going to do harm when they come of age, and that it’s better to let them get a grasp on it now, before the physical intimacy becomes an option.
I can’t and never will support the kind of oxymoronic societal behavior that put me, my friends and family into legitimate danger of crippling their lives. As someone who is knowingly easily coerced, it is an insult to people like me to leave them to the wolves when there are so many dangerously desperate people out there. I believe it is far past time we broke the standard of choosing the easiest route, and started looking at things on a case-by-case basis, as it truly is. Maybe it’s just that I’m the only person who thought this far. I don’t know.
Part of me has an issue with what you said, but then I remember that what you described happened to me. I wanted sex from a very early age (7yo if I remember right), and everyone's answer to my every question/curiosity was either "you'll be told when you're older" or "you're autistic so if nobody ever told you about sex, you wouldn't want it". I almost ended up on the sex offender registry, not because I did something objectively wrong, but because my desperate search for sex and for other means of satiating my curiosity got wayyy out of hand and NOBODY was willing to stick their necks out to take me by the hand and guide me down a proper path.
To summarize brutishly: We shouldn't be afraid to talk about this when the time is right for the individual. Regardless of age. We are so god damn prudish about the whole affair. But it should be only that, TALKING.

You need to be an adult to legally have a credit card issued and generally minors don’t have that level of disposable income
0 likes@Kitti Minx can't they just be like yo I need a fiver and put it on a prepaid card? Or am I too boomer now? Lol

There are also laws though. Content creators can and have faced legal ramifications for minors gaining easy access to their content
