I'm glad you had a great month Dodie! Seems February is a lucky month! its been my happiest month in a long time (partly thanks to vedif) and I had so many wonderful things happen. I started my drama class this semester, asked out a lovely girl (using a card with your lyrics!) and took her out for valentines ice cream, I started being able to focus in class instead of being dazed and brain foggy. I've even made new friends, and managed to get myself a girlfriend! This February has been amazing, and i want to thank you Dodie, for bringing wonderful music and fun videos into my life, bringing me and my gf together through song, and being a huge inspiration to me and showing me that happiness can be achieved through simple things and great friends.

Dodie I've been suffering with denationalization too and it sucks! If you have a similar symptom to me (vision going blurry or distorted like you arent there) I'd recommend getting your eyes tested (and mentioning the problem to an optician too!) having some new glasses has taken the edge off what I feel is one of the most distracting and distressing part of this disorder. Hope you do see this and hope this helps! x much love and hope you start feeling better soon x

hi dodie, I want to apologize in advance for how long this is, but I really want/need to reach out to someone who could possibly understand. Also, I totally get it if you busy as I'm writing this when your about to go on tour I believe. Anywho, I've been following you for awhile, and been on your journey with anxiety and all that jazz. I too, have recently discovered that I have a lot of anxiety whereas before I thought I had none. Along with the topic of anxiety you mentioned you have Depersonalization. Although you talk about having it, I never really understood/was knowledged about the subject until today. Today you posted on Instagram a post about having anxiety and being depersonalized a lot/spaced out; and I was not only extremely moved by your post because that is a super brave thing to do, but also I related on about 75% of the post.

You talked about how you feel like you keep falling between the lines of reality and the spaced out stance. You talked about how it's hard to not fall into depression. And you talked about how you feel like talking to doctors is impossible, because no one really understands you.

I feel the same. And that's why you really moved me. For about a year now I felt this way. Like I would wake up not remembering what was real and what's not. I constantly feel like there wasn't going to be a 'next year' or 'tomorrow'. So after reading what you wrote in the post, I did research on it. And being the first time to come to terms with this, I realize I too, also have depersonalization. What a big word. Anyways, I just wanted to thank you for helping realize what I'm going through. I've been confused about it all for the past year and I'm glad that I'm finally aware of what's going on. Although that definitely doesn't mean I'm healed from this spaced out feeling, I can definitely tell my mom and dad and family members about it, as they are worried quite often. Anyways, sorry this was so long but I wanted to branch out to someone who understands the same thing. Love everything you do!

The award was not theirs to give away, nor was Moonlight a recipient of La La Land's charity. La La Land got the award by mistake, it always belonged to Moonlight, therefore Jordan Horowitz didn't really do anything other than point out that they didn't win. Moonlight earned the award, it wasn't given away by La La Land.
