21:06 "I thought the stare was voluntary." At first, it wasn't. In the season 1 episode it was introduced in, Stare Master, Fluttershy told Rarity, "I don't really have any control over when it happens; it just happens."
Fluttershy must have had to work at controlling that ability. And then, in reverting to a more feral state, she probably lost her more cerebral mental functions.
19:14 "Guys, I don't know what to think about this form of her." Meanwhile, dozens of fan artists had already made up their mind about what they thought about it.
Great shirt dude, cutiemark merch is actually my favorite because only "people in the know" can recognize it, almost like a brony code. As for the episode, I remember it being a very good one and the song is legendary as well.
whenever it’s past midnight and i’m working on a project or something, your reactions are really comforting to play in the background. Like watching mlp with an older brother or something it’s comforting

Flutterbat was a bit of a nod to the fandom's obsession with the "Bat Ponies", seen in Luna Eclipsed and never again. As for the bit with the fang at the end, well . . . no. Flutterbat is not really a thing, in the future.
3:55 Rarity: "Applejack, when you go big you really go big!" Why do I feel like Rarity should have been directing that comment at AJ's brother instead?
@MaCane there is but If your not extremely patient you can't resist buying micro transaction's I am now Playing for 4 years and got about a third of everything you can collect
Lol you predicted the episode perfectly! Also, there were fruit bats in Apple Family Reunion.
There are a lot of mixed feelings about this episode. Many hated the unecessarily harsh tone and ganging up on and towards Fluttershy. Especially Twilight who is meant to be the bigger pony. Plus, Rainbow clearly had other priorities clogging her judgement.
But what most hated the episode for was introducing the concept of Bat Ponies. Not entirely a fault on the show's end, but the fandom's OC creators took to the idea like moths to a flame. The amount of Bat Pony OCs that came into existence was annoyingly overboard.
Eq_NightGlider_ True, but they were Stallions and didn't really showcase the more adorable look of Bat Pony OCs. Seeing Fluttershy as a Bat Pony is what made people realise that Bat Ponies could be so cute. They are, but there is a thing as too much.
Vampire ponies. When this became a thing with Flutterbat’s debut, the Internet exploded with countless fan art creations based on this one thing (Mane 6 as vampire ponies, OC’s, you name it). I eventually created a vampire ponysona based on my OC long after this happened because they are very interesting in terms of design.
The fandom has really had a history of catching on to art trends fast. More recently remember the explosion of fanart and OCs after that one episode in season 8. Pretty sure you know which one.
This episode miscredits Meghan McCarthy as the writer - even though it was Merriwether Williams (though she is correctly credited for the lyrics of the song). If I’m not mistaken, it was her last piece of media that she wrote for FiM.
Also, I remember staying up until 8:30 in the morning to watch this episode live on the Hub Network - and I watched it through my TV provider’s app so I could be in my room. This was the only episode I did that for, as I mostly just relied on my DVR to record it so I could watch it at my convenience. I really liked the back-and-forth nature of the song, as well as the contrasting visuals.
10:56 "What are you wearing?!" Hazmat suit. In our world, it's actually standard operating procedure for wildlife researchers to wear those, because bats and their droppings can carry exotic diseases.
It's funny how they never guano. Which is bat droppings I know it sounds gross but it's actually the best fertilizer in the world Farmers actually collect guano from caves when bats leave.
@@unripetheberrby6283 Doesn't count ot because it is not plot relevant in the episode. Plus, like you said, she dressed up as Flutterbat, But was not really Flutterbat. This episode and Night of the living apples are the only stories with Flutterbat as the main plot.
Must have gotten bit by a flutterbat during field training. Glad I'm just a civvy working for the USAF and don't have to deal with all that. Though it might be worth it for flutters
Oh, of course. I forgot you are already at the fourth season. Just a little Pinkie warning though. You might have noticed how Pinkie shouts her every line. This happens throughout the half of this season and can really annoy people. Just try yo ignore it until it goes away.
And of course mentioning that it happens increases the chance of noticing it by people who were previously unaware of it, and might have staid that way :q so it's like a self-fulfilling prophecy :q
Messing with the Bats like that they are going to hurt the ecosystems. and forcing them not to eat at all is like forcing them to starve themselves. And forcing Fluttershy to do that was just plain out wrong.
@@Narrator007 I didn't say he's on YouTube for the fame. And of course I remember good old days when YouTube was not all about views and monetization. What I meant was that fame is often a "side effect" of being on YouTube, whether you want it or not, and there are people who became "horse famous" that way, but now when the show ends, their fame kinda got endangered by it, because doing MLP reactions or commentaries is all that they were doing for all that time, and... you know, it's hard to do MLP reactions when there's no more MLP episodes to react to :q So they're facing a hard time right now: either they expand to other types of content & activities or disappear into oblivion again. I've seen this happening with people who reacted to other TV shows as well. And judging by how fast PonyBro rushes through those seasons, I just don't want that happen to him as well.
@@Narrator007 It would be hard to react to comics on YouTube though :J That's one of the problems with TV show reacters: their fame usually ends with the show they're reacting to :q Unless they start reacting to other shows too, but then there's that risk of the channel becoming about "everything and nothing" at the same time, or converts to another boring gaming channel.

That looks like some chigger bites. Spent 6 months in NJ in the woods, and had similar reactions all over my waistline, mid-arms, and ankles. Red-mites will burrow into your skin and your immune system will kill them, causing a localized swelling/itching reaction.
