It was actually composed by Shogo Sakai, who probably made the "Break the Targets" theme, which is why they're all so similar. He even participated in the face raiders ost, I wouldn't even be surprised if that was him right there
"Tutorial" reminds me of how in luigi's mansion the space area had a special song similar to the outside theme. Like how tutorial is to the title theme.
Out of curiosity, would you be willing to share some of your rips over on SquidBoard? Like its predecessor FFShrine, we're a community focused around sharing, including VGMs (which also includes game-rips, as well as official releases). I feel like there would be some community overlap, and it would be nice to have an easy-to-browse collection outside of YouTube somewhere online.
The link (it's register-only but I approve accounts every few days or so) is https://www.squid-board.ru/ if you're interested at all. That said, thanks for sharing these! Most of these are hard to come-by in decent quality, so your work here is much appreciated.
@3DSX Rips Oh, and I forgot to mention that it might be a good idea to go back and add lossless copies of some of these soundtracks. The reason being that a lot of this music is stored in streamed Nintendo formats, where encoding to lossy formats causes data loss, regardless of the codec.
I noticed you included lossless copies in more recent uploads though, so I'm assuming you've got it covered in that respect.
@Carmen Beckett Haha I mean if it was developed by Hal it almost has to be, since that is very much his style and the samples are his style as well. Could potentially be Ishikawa or Ando but I really doubt that haha
Yup this really does sound like 3DS era nintendo music

How exactly?
2 likes@GTK474 It's mostly for thinking and examination, but if you listen carefully, you'll notice that the chords and bass seem really similar
5 likesNo wonder I like it so much :P
2 likesLet's go, my favourite 3ds game
17 likesThe "Thinking" theme reminds me of the boss theme from Kirby: Mass Attack's pinball minigame, "Kirby Brawlball."

Agreed! I imagine many people on the forum would be grateful to see your releases. These soundtracks are great!

You got that right, I recently included flac since multiple people pointed it out to me.
4 likesI'm planning to reupload most musics on my channel with flac quality soon.
I surely hope I have the patience to do it since I got to rip lots of musics all over again.
@3DSX Rips Sounds great, just make sure you're going from the original source to FLAC, and not MP3 -> FLAC, as that provides no benefit.
1 likeI'm aware of that. I should've kept the original files to make this easier but oh well, I'll do it again. 😅
2 likesThis sounds great!
2 likesThinking and examination is so very similar at break the targets of super smash Bros melee, basically a jazz version

It's probably the same person that composed Face Raiders, considering it's based on that game..

Shogo Sakai is the name of the face Raiders composer
