Le deuxième et dernier LP d'Auracle est une affaire assez moyenne avec un excellent montage.
Slickers sonne comme une planche à découper : il y a des moments ici et là qui pourraient très facilement être repris et utilisés pour de meilleures performances, mais l'album dans son ensemble est assez simple.
Le son ici est une sorte de jazz fusion quelque peu funky qui se sent très doux et professionnel, ce qui signifie qu'il n'a pas beaucoup de personnalité. L'album est instrumental en plus des choeurs sur "Little City Slickers" et "Rotary Andy's Raggedy". Il a de magnifiques cuivres et une excellente guitare pour gratter, et il est beaucoup plus vivant que les autres chansons ici. Tout le reste semble être une écriture fine étendue dans l'ordre par des solos et des interactions instrumentales. L'ouverture de "Little City Slickers" est remarquablement mauvaise, qui, avec des choeurs enfantins, semble ridicule et même un peu twee - une description plutôt dérangeante pour une chanson de jazz fusion.
Hormis les moments qui pourraient et devraient être récupérés et réutilisés (qui sont disséminés un peu partout sur les chemins) il n'y a pas de grand
intérêt. Une trop grande partie de cet album n'a pas beaucoup de traits distinctifs, et aucun des joueurs ne semble s'y être autant intéressé - tout est trop propre et recouvert d'un éclat ennuyeux de professionnalisme sans rapport.
Dans l'ensemble, ce n'est pas une expérience d'écoute particulièrement bonne, même si elle reste tout à fait passable et compétente
enregistrer. Les City Slickers ne plairont probablement à personne, à l'exception des auditeurs passionnés de jazz fusion et des DJ et producteurs à la recherche d'échantillons.
Auracle’s second and final LP is a pretty average affair with one great cut.
Slickers sounds like a crate digger board: there are moments here and there that could very easily be picked up and used for better performance, but the album as a whole is pretty simple.
The sound here is a kind of somewhat funky jazz fusion that feels very smooth and professional, which means it doesn’t have a lot of personality. The album is instrumental in addition to the backing vocals on "Little City Slickers" and "Rotary Andy's Raggedy." . It has wonderful horns and a great guitar to scratch, and it feels much more vivid than the other songs here. Everything else seems to be fine songwriting expanded in order by soloing and instrumental interplay. One noticeably bad cut is the opener of “Little City Slickers,” which, along with childish backing vocals, sounds ridiculous, and even a bit of a twee - a rather disturbing description for a jazz fusion song.
Apart from the moments that could and should be picked up and reused (which are scattered all over the paths) there is no great
interest. Too much of this album doesn’t have many distinguishing features, and none of the players seem to have been so interested in it - it’s all too clean and covered in a boring sheen of unrelated professionalism.
All in all, this is not a particularly great listening experience, although it is still quite passable and competent
record. City Slickers probably won’t appeal to anyone except dedicated jazz fusion listeners and DJs and producers looking for samples.

Slickers zvuči kao ploča kopača sanduka: tu i tamo postoje trenuci koji bi se vrlo lako mogli podići i iskoristiti za bolji učinak, ali album u cjelini je prilično jednostavan.
Zvuk je ovdje neka vrsta pomalo funky jazz fuzije koja se osjeća vrlo glatko i profesionalno, što znači da nema puno osobnosti. Album je instrumentalan osim pratećih vokala na "Little City Slickers" i "Rotary Andy's Raggedy"Jedan od njih ovdje se ističe spomenuti "Rotary Andy's Raggedy", koji je ovdje jedini istinski funky cut – ostali su obično premekani da bi ih se svrstalo u funk. Ima divne rogove i odličnu gitaru za grebanje, i osjeća se mnogo življe od ostalih pjesama ovdje. Čini se da je sve ostalo u redu pisanje pjesama prošireno u redu soliranjem i instrumentalnom međuigrom.
