15:56 Yona: "Yaks know things not last forever. That's why smash, and rebuild." How poignantly appropriate that this episode first aired on the weekend that Notre Dame burned down.
I like this episode. The Student Six basically show the various aspects of grief, and along with Tanks for the Memories and The Perfect Pear, it might be the closest the show gets to handling death.
The tree, as Twilight, was glitching out, and clearly contacted the students with the last of its energy. Thanks to the friendship of the Student Six, the tree gained enough energy to recover, to an extent. Without them, it truly would have been dead.
"It’s hard to say farewell to something you hold dear." Lyrics enough to hit you in the feels because every time I watch FIM, I rewatch it all over again. I can't let go of these ponies.
This is a pretty good episode. It's great that they addressed the tree getting destroyed. It's great seeing the student six all solve the problem together. The tree house of harmony is pretty cool.
In season 1 they tried to make the everfree forest as this mysterious place with great dangers to make the series more adventurous but as time went on they kinda abandoned this idea and now this place is just a forest with occasional beast one in a while(season 1 had how many monsters from there?). Regarding this episode, this episode is my least favorite of the season overall, and I am not a fan of the song but watching this episode with you made the episode better.
True, but even zebras seemed mysterious and scary to the citizens of Ponyville back then. Perhaps their fear of the unknown gradually lessened as fewer things remained "unknown".
@@Narrator007 maybe, but we didn't see the hydra or the timberwolves in tartarus. Its still a dangerous place as we seen in student counsel but it seems they just stopped fearing the forest. The wat they described some of the creatures in s9 e12 made it seem like everfree is nothing special, while in season 1 it seemed like an unnatural and mysterious place.
This show's fans may have several different ideas on who is Best Pony, but I'm sure EVERYONE agrees Yona is Best Yak!

There's not a lot of contenders for second best yak, but she's still pretty amazing.

Well, every year since 2016 hasn't exactly been good. But yea, I forgot about the Notre Dame fire.

As a bonus, Yona was top-notch in this episode.

What have we learned in this show? Villains hate trees!

I am a villain and I like pretty trees. Ok I don't say anything.
1 likePut the word "show" instead of 'tree" in the song. Or actually, most the episode. Thank me or hate me later.
