Capitol Records USA heard this and decided that this is what they are looking for because of the combination of elaborate songs and beautiful ballads........ When things were going very well, Helmut announced he would go in search of a solo career, and with the support of his teammates and cousins Jürgen, as well as other famous musicians, his debut began to take shape.
Meanwhile, the band had a hard time finding a replacement for Köllen, so they decided to call their old friend and former bandmate Dick Frangenberg bassist plus Barry Palmer for vocals, and as a quartet they recorded "Old Love Dies Hard," the first nonconceptual album with very good passages, but the difference with "Spartacus" was obvious and they began to lose popularity, which caused Bathelt and Palmer to leave.
Jürgen, as the only original member, decided to work on another historical album about the eruption of Vesuvius in 45 years and asked Helmut to join them, but he felt that the vocal sections were not suitable for his voice, so he left the project. And then tragedy struck the band, Helmut died in his car poisoning with carbon monoxide evaporation while listening to his latest recordings, it really affected Jürgen, who had to gather all his strength to keep the band alive, and the best way to do that was to make new records.
After a while Fritz managed to convince Barry, hired drummer Curt Cress and bassist Dieter Petereit, with whom the band was renamed "THE NEW TRIUMVIRAT" and finally "Pompeii" reached the shops, but there was no magic, despite some really good passages, the effort was not enough to save the band.
The story of TRIUMVIRAT was supposed to end here, but Jürgen was not ready to let it go, so with several musicians he published the inferior "A La Carte" (1978) and the even weaker "Russian roulette", this was the end of the "rats".
In 2002. Jürgen Fritz and Grant Stevens announced the recording of a new TRIUMVIRAT album called "The Website Story" and even released some promotional videos, but for reasons unknown they never saw the light. I hope one day the CD will reach the stores because the material I heard is interesting.

Capitol Records USA je to čuo i odlučio da je to ono što traže zbog spoja razrađenih pjesama i prekrasnih balada……..Kada su stvari išle jako dobro, Helmut je najavio odlazak u potragu za solo karijerom, a uz podršku suigrača i rođaka Jürgena, kao i drugih poznatih glazbenika, njegov debi počeo se oblikovati.
U međuvremenu, bend je teško pronalazio zamjenu za Köllena, pa su odlučili nazvati svog starog prijatelja i bivšeg kolegu iz benda Dicka Frangenberga basistom plus Barryja Palmera za vokale, a kao kvartet snimili su "Old Love Dies Hard", prvi nekonceptualan album s jako dobrim odlomcima, ali razlika s "Spartakom" bila je očita i počeli su gubiti popularnost, što je uzrokovalo odlazak Bathelta i Palmera.
Jürgen je kao jedini originalni član odlučio raditi na još jednom povijesnom albumu o erupciji Vezuva 45. godine i zamolio Helmuta da im se pridruži, ali smatrao je da vokalne dionice nisu prikladne za njegov glas pa je napustio projekt. A onda je tragedija pogodila bend, Helmut je umro u svom automobilu trovanjem isparavanja ugljičnim monoksidom dok je slušao svoje najnovije snimke, to je stvarno utjecalo na Jürgena, koji je morao skupiti svu svoju snagu kako bi održao bend na životu, a najbolji način za to bilo je snimanje novih ploča.
Nakon nekog vremena Fritz je uspio uvjeriti Barryja, angažirao je bubnjara Curta Cressa i basista Dietera Petereita, s kojim su bend preimenovali u "THE NEW TRIUMVIRAT" i napokon "Pompeji" stigli do trgovina, ali magije nije bilo, unatoč nekim stvarno dobrim odlomcima, trud nije bio dovoljan da spasi bend.
Priča o TRIUMVIRAT-u trebala je završiti ovdje, ali Jürgen nije bio spreman pustiti je, pa je s nekoliko glazbenika objavio inferiorni "A La Carte" (1978) i još slabiji "ruski rulet", to je bio kraj "štakora".
Godine 2002. Jürgen Fritz i Grant Stevens najavili su snimanje novog albuma TRIUMVIRAT pod nazivom "The Website Story" i čak objavili neke promotivne videozapise, ali iz nepoznatih razloga nikada nisu ugledali svjetlo. Nadam se da će jednog dana CD stići do trgovina jer je materijal koji sam čuo zanimljiv.
Ljudi ih mogu voljeti ili mrziti, ali nitko ne može poreći da govorimo o ikoni njemačkog Prosja i bendu koji su sami stekli počasno mjesto u simfonijskom panteonu…….LADFISLAV&Z.....
