I visited a lighthouse about 3 days after I started playing Minetest, so when I got home, I built a little noob lighthouse. I made it with a little 1x1 ladder, and the outside was alternating smooth stone and dirt. I started working on a cobble bridge with wood fences from the top until I died. I thought that when you die, the world resets, so I deleted that world. But then a month or so later, I started playing on just test, and refused to use protection blocks until I got griefed :P
I liked Jules Verne book Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, but much more i was hooked by his book The Mysterious Island. It is still my favorite book. I think, it resembles what we do in Minetest - build our base out of nothing, overcome obstacles, gather resources, build infrastructure, craft amazing things, build even greater base...
