You could do it with a regular usb by having malware on a usb stick just simply renaming it and changing the application icon to a folder or something harmless. While this only applies to windows pcs(i think) it would work
It's just an adapter, that happens to look like a regular usb. MicroSD to USB adapters are pretty common, and if you had a Nintendo DS with Flashcard back in the day, you probably have one
The AM F@&king IT students go to college to learn, not ask random people on the internet how to quickly steal someone else’s personal information. Maybe he should ask his professors how to steal someone’s info in 10 seconds, they’re gonna know a whole lot more than randoms on the internet.
>Break a USB drive to remove the internal sd card >insert the sd card into a usb cardreader to put it into the computer Wait what??! Why don't you just simply plug the usb drive in the first place?
The one that the SD came from is a USB Rubber Ducky, which is used to output keyboard and mouse inputs from the code that was put on the SD card using the second usb, which is an actual SD card reader, not a keyboard emulator.
I already knew this one but got to lazy.to prevent it.As u can imagine somebody very close to me slipped their USB in my computer. Occurred while I was running Manjaro.too. hhhmmm....
You are over estimating how hospitable people are. Though, small businesses are good for genuine people trying to get their feet off the ground, so maybe
Ehhh i would take down there network If it was server based i would wipe the drives I also would wipe all the class computers Except the chromebooks so they would be screwed
@カイル and I even put a bad title on the computer I just put "youre pathetic teacher and all maths and anything are not important because we can use our brain to make money"
Stop making people fearmonger, stop saying all this shady crap like "oh yeah with a usb I can steal all your info", just say you should lock usb devices if you are in public.
Stealing data from unprotected people is easy Protecting yourself is usually even easier
And it's not like he is selling a VPN or something like that, most of his videos are like: "Hey, stilling data is pretty easy this way, look! But preventing it is pretty easy by doing this, look! Crypto out!"
Why would I allow a stranger to stick his usb drive into my laptop? And also, this is 2020. Why would you carry a laptop around with you? Don't you all have phones? Those can't be hacked by these unless you just have a usb micro, c, or lightning to usb a adapter sticking out of your phone.
Teevy does he not realize the whole point is you don’t just allow them to plug in the drive. And I don’t know about anyone else but I carry around a laptop
He's been doing this for a while .. its easier either phishing the user or perform a drop key attack.. also then you don't need to get past a lock screen
