I was also so happy when I heard about the gig at Lush because I am a big fan of Lush's products (thanks to a few friends who introduced me to them) and I was all excited, but then I remembered I am all the way on the other side of an ocean and seeing you at one of these events is extremely rare with a little to no chance of actually happening. I haven't really watched much, but I really, really love your Little Room song (them feels man, I totally bawled), your birthday song to Alice "From Braces to Lipstick" (reminds me of myself when I had braces haha! Really a beautiful sweet song), your On My Own cover (I never actually heard the original since I never saw Les Miserables but your voice is just flabbergasting in that one!) and especially Stuck the Way We Are with Hedy (sUCH a genius song like wow. But I really wish it could be sang again in a better quality!). I’m American, and I love the way the British pronounce the phrase “at all”. I mean, everything they say sounds proper, but that specifically always hits me right there!

I know I'm a couple of years late, but this song is so simple, yet so perfect! I relate to this so much is painful... I'm always worrying about what other think about how I look, or what I say or do. I think I may have social anxiety but I'm not sure, and I'm afraid to talk to anyone about it because I think they'll only think it's an excuse to my sometimes antisocial attitude. You know, I relate to this song a lot. If I told my family this, they would just go "oh but you're so talkative, and you have so many friends!" Most of the people in my school only tolerate me, if that, because I do well so they want me to choose them for group projects. And my family only sees me around my friends and family, people I can be talkative around without having to worry, mostly. They don't know me for who I am when they aren't with me. I have 9ish close friends. And I'm growing away from them as the days go, and I'm not growing closer to anyone new. I'm slowly becoming more and more alone and I can't talk to my friends about it because I'm afraid they might think that I don't like them anymore, and my family doesn't believe me.

i just went to prom recently, and i initially didn't want to go. i expected it to be boring, and that i'd be alone and out of place. my mom pushed me to go, saying it was for experience, and so i did.

the day for prom came, and i was already dressed. my sister styled my hair and my mom put on my makeup. now, you see, one reason why i didn't want to go, is that i compare myself alot with others. i know for sure that once i see the other people at prom i'll be thinking how everyone looks prettier and bright, how their words are glitter and how they shine unlike me.

and my worst fears came to life. it was by far, one of the worst nights for me. i didn't want to look glum and gloomy in front of anyone, so i smiled and laughed as much as i can. but there was this nagging thought that told me i was fake, or ugly and that i'm trying too hard. i just wanted to go home and cry. i didn't want to stay in there anymore.

everyone was so dashing and happy and stunning, and i wondered if i should be even there...

now that i'm at home, i could cry and listen to music, and haha, well this song just kinda fits. and the title too, since prom is basically a big social dance.

overall this song just made me feel better, and i'm definitely more attached to it now, now that i experienced such an experience, hahahaha. thank u dodie. ♥

i literally can never hear your voice in your videos when you sing. it doesn't matter if i turn up my volume way high all i can hear is the ukulele or nothing at all. and it's kinda sad, because im unsubscribeing because of that. you have a beautiful voice (the little I've heard of it) so it's really a shame that you audio volume is way too low
