This episode actually was controversial for a few reasons. I love how you didn't even notice the corpse in the glass casket, but went right to the crackers and cheese! Yes! Love God was voiced by John DiMaggio (aka Bender and Jake the Dog). The Love God initially set Meredith up with another woman, but Disney standards and practices said no. He also originally had a third gender symbol (I forget if it was transgender or gender fluid) on his necklace, but they put the kibosh on that too, much to Alex Hirsch's frustration. In compromise, he had Mabel wear a rainbow sweater and had Grunkle Stan add a rainbow wig. He also made sure that Love God had both a male and a female groupie. Alex Hirsch said the Love God's potions are temporary and wear off in a couple hours. If someone stays in love past that, then it's natural and meant to be. If that wasn't the case, it would definitely be more problematic.
Okay I know this is a huge tangent but I've been waiting to get this off my chest for a while.
The ending song, "Goat and a Pig" was initially written and performed by Neil Cicierega aka Lemon Demon aka Trapezoid. If you do not know who he is, you probably know at least one of his works such as: The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny Harry Potter Puppet Pals His many albums The Mouth Trilogy of mashup albums (Mouth Sounds, Mouth Silence, Mouth Moods, Mouth Dreams). And much more.
Neil's sister Emmy worked on the show, and Neil also created two unused opening tracks called "Gravitron" (which was later released onto his 2016 album Spirit Phone as a bonus track) as well as another unreleased one.
Three words to say about this episode: “No love potions!”

Just, yea. I was waiting for this.
John DiMaggio also voices Wendy's dad, "Manly Dan" on the show.
