Thanks for the video and very good explanation of how to save a map locally... When you move around / explore the world on the server, how far around your position will the map be downloaded? In other words, do you need to actually "see" every part of the map that you want downloaded? I did a lot of building with some friends on a server map and would like to have a local copy of all of our builds... so would I need to go into EVERY part of every build, from bottom to top, to "get" it locally?
@maikerumine So if I can see it in the distance or "on the horizon", will it download? How close do I actually need to be? Also, how would you recommend dealing with mods and dependencies "issues"? I Followed your suggestions and got a map downloaded after wandering around some areas in the online server that I played on, made a screenshot of the mods used on the server, and tried to enable them all... however, many of the mods refuse to load properly, apparently due to missing dependencies. So I looked at each mod's dependencies and failed to find some of those. Some mods, such as base_modpack, homedecor, and especially basic_materials, refuse to enable. They revert to disabled every time, and then I do not have those textures in the map when opened offline.

Yes, you must see to load the chunks for saving. Walk a bit and slowly look all around to load them.
