Welp I suppose I got 3 years to move to the usa..... or MOTHER RUSSAAA (sorry for the joke) But I too have a channel (not this one obviously :D ) in which I make quasi animations gmvs and intend to make smaller story tellings (currently though gameplay and reviews mostly) and because of this Yeah I think I have to move from the EU to anywhere else.......

Anyway thanks for the news Kittyminx love your vids :D and now I think I'll figure out how to prepare for what will come.

i know there are lots of people out there useful by researching for facts and calling people out on bullshttt. like, even as a troll, i thank some people for collecting and giving up good information. the collective copyright of wanting the whole truth. i don’t think we want machines judging human details, but it could be useful for machines JUST to flag bits for potential review by someone who knows. maybe even bot walls that have you answer who you think did something first? i just don’t get letting robots shredd through a human jungle and be okay with the piles of mistakes just to save a TINY portion of popular entertainment from accidentally making unauthorised money.... but entertainment is already only valuable based on a Sea of Changing opinions, there is little worth in deciding somethings will always be entertaining.... i just want rules that can make it easy to fight for your own personal claims without lawyers

Yup its time to get a VPN. But honestly no wonder it passed the only real protest came from germany. But hey Merkel could stop it if she votes against this (she wont) the UK could also stop it But they just want the EU to suffer when there gone. Ah another Thing, there wont be Much change on Youtube, they stopped there protest because, they already fit the requirements so EU blocking probably wont be necessary.

Im from the US and I know this is a big fuck you to all of us. They made this law possible because the EU parliament gets money from said companies. Thats why countries like the UK and Italy and France are getting out of the EU. its a dying nation, with failed policies and IMHO socialism doesnt work.

No one should get hit by it, because this article should never get through. The old generation always kicks the young generation basically in the back. I'm in the EU, and I really really hate how the politicians never see how the people in the respective country feel like. To 300 people who are politicians 2000 protesters were nothing yesterday.

Probably not but a man can dream right even if those dreams never come true . According to international law (including US law), copyright is automatic. If you create something, you automatically have copyright over it. You don't need to register it with anyone. In the US, registering content for 'official copyright' is only so that you can win monetary damages in court if someone violates your copyright, but it is not necessary to protect your creations from copyright infringement in the first place. That's important, because it costs money to register for 'official copyright', which most people would not be able to afford.

If somebody makes a copyright strike against material produced by you yourself, that is a serious felony on the part of that person. Essentially fraud.
Of course, normally you'd say that counter-sueing is not worth the effort, but if you feel harassed by those people, know that you can totally do that.
I'm not a lawyer or anything, so you should get the full advice from somebody who knows better. But I am aware of situations in which the youtuber countered and the false claimant went from aggressive to humble very very fast.
(But since you say that you acted against them, it might easily be that you already know more than me in that matter. Just wanted to say it for the case that you don't.)

As for the articles, they should not effect you directly. They effect youtube directly. As soon as you uploaded something, you are out of any trouble, so no need to block it towards europe. The new articles do in no way benefit the false claimants. What they would affect would be the filters.
Of course you might be indirectly effected when youtube has to change it's system, making things harder for you, and of course they are bullshit, but again, as they are written, they will not help false claimants.

Technically, the articles should not have the power to change something that you can clearly do (fair use), and Voss claims that this right will not be touched, although when asked how this should fit together with filters, he talks bullshit about that filters are not the only way to realize the articles. Guy sounds pretty much like somebody who never touched a computer in his life.

That said, thanks for the video, us internet users might at some point have to do some sort of massive protests against those who want to censor things they don't understand.
Or wait until the Alzheimer-ridden idiots who still vote for guys like Axel Voss will die from old age.

This still translates to YouTube. YouTube is a joke these days. Google couldn’t care less, the automatic content scan algorithms suck, and now the entire internet is getting it up the butt. @IonizedG With guns??? I think after two World Wars, the people of Europe have figured out that problems can only be solved peacefully with talk and negotiation.
As Winston Churchill is often quoted, "Jaw, jaw is better than war, war."

IonizedG 2019-03-27 04:06:19

@Rob Harwood you mean like how the people of the United kingdom have spoken, but their elites instead decided that they know what is best for them? When you make peaceful resistance impossible, you make violent revolution necessary. With guns people can stand up and say "no, we voted against this, we will not do your bidding", without fear of being steamrolled.

@IonizedG "... at a certain point ..." And I would agree. But we seem to be very far from that point in the case of these EU articles and Brexit. In fact, I can't think of a time in the last 100 years in either Europe or North America where having (or not having) US-style lax gun laws has substantially affected social/economic policy/politics/politicians one way or the other. Mostly it just affects gun-related deaths (accidents, homicides, etc.) and crime rates.

Rob Harwood 2019-03-27 16:21:15

@IonizedG "the crazy ones are those who would let their government just straight up ignore their wishes"
Oh, you must mean Americans, then, right? The same ones who have the lax gun laws? Do you realize how many US laws, policies, and regulations are passed against popular support, but because they have corporate support? The US has one of the worst records for this.
How do you feel about net neutrality, for instance? Are you ready to go to civil war over it?

IonizedG 2019-03-27 16:28:04

@Rob Harwood I would not because I voted against keeping it, especially since none of the doomsday scenarios those in favor of it predicted actually happened. I think you should take a look at what armed citizens do most often in these scenarios. They form up, armed, as a reminder that they are in charge. I guarantee you if the same had been done at pro net neutrality marches, the results would have been much different.

Rob Harwood 2019-03-27 17:11:22 (edited 2019-03-27 17:18:56 )

@IonizedG A quick read up on the Battle of Athens (1946) reveals that it was lead by military veterans (nearly all countries have these), who in part gained their guns (60 rifles) by taking them from the National Guard (i.e. they were not privately owned guns; all countries have similar local armories), and they ended up using dynamite to end the siege (available for construction/demolition purposes in all countries). This could have occurred in any country, not just the US.

Rob Harwood 2019-03-27 17:13:29 (edited 2019-03-27 17:27:33 )

@IonizedG The Bundy Standoff (2014) does not affect social or economic policy (as far as I can tell at a brief reading; correct me if I'm wrong plz). It was a dispute between the gov't and a rancher who was breaking the law. It's not an event that argues in your favour. It could be considered an event that argues against it.

Rob Harwood 2019-03-27 17:16:57

@IonizedG But as you said, "the crazy ones are those who would let their government just straight up ignore their wishes", and the majority of people are for net neutrality. So either way, if your plan were to be enacted, people rising up in arms whenever the gov't does something to ignore the people's wishes, there would still be a civil war. You'd just be on the other side of it. So, whether you want it or not, you'd end up fighting a civil war. This goes for any issue where the majority are against it, and that's a lot of issues!

@Rob Harwood no, I'd be neutral, as I have no wishes to fight for the government. I think what you fail to realize is that in a lot of revolutions, most people don't fight. There is a lot of people who would rather remain neutral.

@IonizedG I don't fail to realize that. You presume too much. I'm just countering your absurd idea that a populace with lots of guns has anything worthwhile to do with EU articles or Brexit, let alone North American/European politics in the past 100 years. Any absurdities that pop up are as a result of following your proposals to their logical conclusions. Now you're arguing that it wouldn't even be the majority of the population involved. Sounds even less effective.
Why not just skip the guns and resolve things democratically and/or non-violently (like MLK Jr. and the Civil Rights movement, for just one example)? I can come up with dozens of examples in the past 100 years where this method has been socially/economically relevant and has worked.

@Rob Harwood except all peacful movements needed security too. Do you forget that MLK tried to get a concealed carry permit but was denied, and how he subsequently had armed guards around him at all times? Guns protect you from immediate government excessive force, the court is for setting long term and long standing precedent

@IonizedG Now you're way off on a tangent about security in a country with lax gun laws, which is completely independent from the populace effecting political change. All sorts of controversial people would need similar security precautions in the US. Duh. Some jackass with a gun assassinated him anyway. Lot of good those guns did to protect him, eh? And none of this supports your original argument.

@Rob Harwood his security wasn't to protect him from assassin's, they'll always find a way to get their hands on arms. It was to protect him from overzealous police and white supremacists.

@IonizedG You realize you're still on a tangent, right? None of this has anything to do with EU articles or Brexit. (But seriously. Malcolm X was assassinated a few years prior and JFK just prior to that, and you think his security had nothing to do with protecting him against assassination attempts??? 🙄 Even your tangent is a ridiculous argument.)

So you would rather let criminals only have guns while law abiding citizens who get even defend themselves get shot and killed. real smart of you.... Seriously you are the definition of a leftist piece of shit. they stick with the mob and basically want BIG government. Im from America and I will say this. I have the RIGHT to bear Arms!. What about you? if you are British, we practically save your scrawny asses from the nazis. You should be grateful, but no instead you say that we are bad people. Stop talking, go on, get lost.

Iam in the EU and i want my country (Netherlands) out of it. Petitions were over 5 milion. But when you think about it i never heard it on the main stream media and now they have a law to make other news outlets "fake news" to make it even harder getting the real news (since they determine what is fake news). Control the information and then you control the people it wont be long until a new war i think. So to where should i flee?

All of you Europeans: just use a VPN. That will fix the whole problem. Your identity and your country is unknown that way, so you won't have to deal with an upload filter and if everyone uses a VPN, European internet will be dead in a while, so they won't have a choice but to undo the Articles.
