This Starlight and Trixie episode is a lot of fun. I like the dynamic between the these two here, how they play off each other. The song they shared is one of my favorites of the season too.
It’s a pity we never made it to Saddle Arabia in this episode. This was due to the fact that the MLP staff did not have enough time to create this location, as well as its citizens. Still would have Ben nice to visit that place though.
9:49 Trixie: "I always buy my haycakes here." PonyBro: "You always come here? I thought you never went to Saddle Arabia on tour." They never made it to Saddle Arabia. This was just a stop along the way, the village of Somnambula.
It only just now occurred to me that it makes no sense that Starlight would have a "famous collection of campfire spices," considering how much she dislikes camping.
Fun Fact: This episode was inspired by the old Road movies, a series of musical comedies made back in the '40s and '50s starring Bob Hope and Bing Crosby.
The episode also used what the movies also used stereotypes that pony with a caravan with the thick accent the movies were filled with stereotypes like that
This is a great episode. Starlight and Trixie have a pretty good dynamic. The concept of the road trip is great. The stuff they say/do in their sleep is great.
Since you're planning to react to G3 soon, it's worth mentioning that one of the delivery ponies (the one who doesn't sound like Starlight) is played by G3 Pinkie Pie.
It’s been awhile From seeing your mlp videos and It has been refreshing to watch someone reacting to shows for fun. Wish I can go back in time and sit with a friend to watch mlp again.
Somehow, I thought Starlight and Trixie would be a bit more resourceful and have made the wagon work somehow. Maybe they could have even asked Hoo'far to switch just for the night so they had a more spacious place to sleep.
21:05 It’s funny because it was rumored (though never officially confirmed) that Kelly and Kathleen did, in fact, ad lib that chant of Starlight’s and Trixie’s.
In the season 6 finale. Starlight goes to Trixi for help. Trixi is taking in her sleep then, so Starlight should have known she talks in her sleep. I, however, love this episode and their friendship.
15:12 - wow...Starlight just threw all of Trixie's stuff out of her own wagon, not unlike what would be considered a hasty response during a stereotypical lovers' spat! People who aren't fucking each other don't fight like this!! lol
They could've taken some of the stuff out of the caravan and set it outside to give themselves more room to sleep at night, then packed it back up in the morning.
Oh, that song were friendship bound, is a reference to 1942 song called, Road to Morocco movie from the Bob, Hope and Bing Crosby movie road to Morocco written by Jimmy van Heusen and Johnny breke
I love this episode, definitely one of my favorites.
52 likesAlso, as a side note, I really appreciate how you've been putting the episode name in the thumbnails, it's helped a lot.
EDIT: That "taking a stand by lying down" call might have been your best one yet!

That was the most epic psychic moment in your entire run through.
29 likesFun Fact: Trixie’s full name has never been addressed in the show (Trixie Lulamoon).

14 likesStarlight does her best to get along with Trixie, but the little sociopath in her can erupt at anytime.
1:22 So the Princess of Love believes Starlight and Trixie have great chemistry, huh?

CinCoutMagus Same here. There were some weak Season 8 episodes, but this is one of several that was watchable and fun!

1 likeThe funniest thing about this episode is that it all could have been prevented if Starlight just teleported. She’s more than capable.
1 likeWow, that was your best prediction yet.

Rarity and Trixie are the princesses of seduction, that's why I love them.
