Although I'm a law abider something about these ballads fascinate me. I like a song that tell a story and I like old westerns. These songs unfold stories in my head. I see the sweat on the horses neck and the reins in hand a dusty trail and a leather gunbelt holding the loaded 45. I guess the vivid pictures these tunes evoke in my mind are what captures my attention. A trick of any good story or poetry.
